[5.0] "I would be inclined to give this more than five points if they hadn't pulled the cheapest of finishes from the dusty attic. In 2024, brass knuckles really shouldn't be the means of deciding such an unusual and sometimes good fight at an event of this magnitude. No matter who brings them into play and who uses them with what consistency. Logan Paul impresses me again, while Kevin Owens doesn't really mark his territory unsightly either. If only the finish wasn't the way it is."

[8.0] "**** (08/10) I, like any (and many) Wrestling fans, aren't fans of major event fights finishing in DQs. This, however, finished with cleverness and a masterful psychology presentation by Kevin Owens. I know that there are some (many, actually) fans who hate the influencer shenanigans that are part of the trope to Logan Paul matches. But, much like the thematic nature of Bloodline battles, I am in favor when it comes to Logan Paul outings. Perhaps, I am of the minority in that regard. But time only tells how minor stays a minority."

Couldve been a little better executed, the random fan intrusion came out of nowhere, but the finish itself was good. Rest of the match was solid, Logan catching cheap heat throughout, and forcing Owens to sell his hand (which he did very well) was great to watch."

It protected KO but most importantly was perfectly executed and one of the best false finishes in recent memory. So criative. The white shirt guy stuff was fucking bad tho."

[7.0] "This match came after two disappointing bouts with a huge responsibility to shift the energy of the event before the main event, and I think it did it, it was the best match of the night, but still had some weird stuff. Those interferences are really questionable, it's a shame we didn't had one single clean match in the whole ppv. Logan hand work on Kevin was great, and the match had a lot of stiff moments. The ending was controversial, but not so harmful in my opinion, I could accept that. Didn't thought it was good or bad, just acceptable - {***1/4}"

"This finish on a big four and Owens kind of lollygagging a couple of times (justifiably) because the match just flat-out is not worth it legitimately stick out in my memory. The worst KO match I can remember, exposing to Logan Paul and his whole schtick. Hard to rag enough on, again, a title match on a big four, ending in such limp fashion, to set up a no-more-heated Mania triple threat that would itself deliver no catharsis. These two have anti-chemistry. If I do a worst matches list for 2024, this might end up on it"

Owen's sold the hand injury he had coming in really well, while Paul's selling during the match was great too. Hell, Paul was even throwing some decent looking European uppercuts during the match, while both men flung themselves from the top rope a couple times. I actually quite liked the ending too, as it protected Owens and further made Paul a total heel. If anything it was entertaining, which I can't say about anything else on the show. 3.25 Stars."

But I feel like this sort of disappointed me with how boring it was at times as well. Paul is kind of hard to watch when he's doing his heel work, its really not as cool as he thinks it is. The worst part of this match is the stupid DQ finish. Pretty forgettable aside from that awful finish, sucks that Owens is locked into such a nothing burger of a feud."

It says a lot that even someone as great as Kevin Owens couldn't get a good match out of this. It feels like some of these matches are just being booked on autopilot."

If you can't have Logan lose yet, don't book him to win a title. It's not like they're shy about KO jobbing. Hell, have them go Broadway. Anything would be better than a DQ/count out. Also I'm so sick of the brand promotion for Paul."
BigReedus wrote on 04.03.2024:
[8.0] "The way these two wrestled changed my mind about this match, as I was cold on it heading in. Logan Paul and Kevin Owens beating the tar out of each other straightened my back quickly. Paul is very good, busting out various submissions and even a 619, of all things, at various points. His body looked like shredded meat after the match. He can flip on a dime from selling offense to taunting and handing out abuse himself. Owens did his usual thing to great success. He sold his hand injury well. The ending was overbooked, but the majority of the match made it worth it."

But this evening everyone was waiting for the men's Royal Rumble, and wanted this match to end as soon as possible. The ending managed to surprise, for once the referee really did his job well, heh. ***1/4"

Waller and Theory came out to aid Logan Paul but Kevin got the brass knuckles, but the referee saw Kevin hit him with them and get disqualified."

Owens is a veteran and Paul an absolute natural, and together they performed a very heated and physical match with great chemistry, selling and storytelling that all culminated in one of the best Disqualification finishes I can remember. Great match by two excellent performers that despite a difficult spot on the card really delivered in ever way!"

Logan showed some really good offense and Kevin Owens did a good job here too. The finish was questioned by many, but it was honestly a hilarious ending and made just about as much sense as it could have got. For the way it went, both wrestlers did a great job and I was very entertained by this match."
Prince Osborne wrote on 22.02.2024:
[8.0] "This was a top-tier first defense of the US title by Logan against one of the best of this generation. Their chemistry sparked in an instant flick, and it kept getting better when the clock was ticking. The injured hand of Owens played its part well enough, whereas the usual way by Logan to weasel a win almost backfired. That finishing stretch was a genius move, opening a different perspective of utilizing a DQ win wisely. It didn't hurt both men's morale but elevated their rivalry to a new level. 3.75 out of 5 stars!"

Paul's friend killed the pacing a little bit, but I'm not unhappy with the brass knuckle DQ (I usually would be, though, and I have mixed feelings about a DQ on a PPW). Glad to see Kevin still look strong, and frankly, I think Paul needs to lose his title at Wrestlemania, so the ending makes sense to me. I do think the match could've been better, though."

They really just belted each other, a super physical match that showed Logan has more range and can take a physical style. Great heel finish. 6 man coming at the chamber (or a chamber match) with Waller Theory Logan vs KO + 2 others. ***3/4"

The DQ Finish of the Brass Knuckles was too generic and made Logan Paul look weaker after the match just before the opening bell. 5/10 Rating"

This was no 5 star, but it was fun and the finale had a surprising twist, the kind that the match before would have needed as well. Plus, it sets up a rematch and adds to the sneaky heel character of Logan Paul."

jjruls wrote on 29.01.2024:
[8.0] "I'm very surprised the average for this is so low, I thought this was great. Logan chirped throughout the match, but also got his ass kicked. Some really cool spots, loved the frog splashes, the attempted suplex into that brain buster, there was a clear story here and they told it well. The distraction was minimal which was great, but gave Logan the opportuntity to cheat. Instead of a basic Logan hits KO with brass knuckles and gets the win they got creative and had KO get the brass knuckles shot. The camera shot at that pin was unreal, and had my job drop."

Ok, it's to generate heat and protect KO (I get it), but killing a match that was decent until the final sequence for a shitty ending like that is bullshit. It would make Logan score a dirty KO and move on, but these lapses in logic with judges acting blind depending on the storyline completely ends my suspension of disbelief and hating PW at certain times (1/2*)"

Some Guy wrote on 28.01.2024:
[4.0] "A decent match with an awful ending. The story of the match was Logan Paul targeting KO's broken hand. Simple enough. It wasn't the usual Logan match where he shows off a bunch of athletic moves, this was something different for him and it worked just fine. That is of course until the last few minutes. Some random guy who is apparently one of Logan's flunkies was at ringside trying to sneak the brass knuckles to him. Pat McAfee kept screaming "It's Jeff! " over and over like we're supposed to know who in the hell that is. A fracas ensued and somehow Logan got the knuckles, but KO stole them and punched him out. The referee is about to count the pin then notices KO still wearing the knuckles and calls for the bell to end the match on a disqualification. Such a lame finish. So bad it basically ruins the match. 4/10"

But that shouldn't really affect the overall opinion of the match, yet there wasn't much to talk about either. It felt like a match destined for weekly shows, with the ending only accentuating this fact. There wasn't even a standout viral moment, as Logan Paul has accustomed us to. Was a match at the Royal Rumble really necessary for this?"

This match was clearly designed to be the pee break after the women's rumble and big ugly gold belt match. I guess they took that to heart and made it as big of a waste of time as possible. Kevin Owens deserves so much better than this."

I like his athleticism and how its incorporated into the match. And he works with Owen's well, who is hit and miss with me. KO sold the arm well and fed for Paul nicely. All in all, this was looking to be a pretty good match but then came the moment that derailed the match entirely. Firstly, one of Logan Paul's friends showed up, leading everyone to be like WHO? That distracted from the match entirely, then Theory and the other guy came down to the ring for no reason really. All of which was a convoluted way to set up a brass knuckles finish where KO uses the brass knuckles against Logan Paul in a bit of a babyface cheating joy but he gets caught. That in itself is a cool way to get the desired result but the set up was bad at an all time level. ***"

The ending has been very funny because the referee acted it in a forced way to see that KO had used a mitten but well, overall it was a good fight, entertaining and I hope Logan Paul defends it more times, for the sake of his reign and the championship."

No, everything was quite good, and I didnt even have time to feel the running time of 16 minutes, but I also have the feeling that it could have been better. The most interesting moment was the ending, because personally I really believed in Kevins victory, and even managed to be very surprised, but then the referee quickly cut off this surprise. The moment is cool, and in general its not often that referees get such an important and interesting role in fights. Usually it happens in a negative way, when they dont see something, but here its the opposite. This is an interesting ending, which, moreover, prolongs the confrontation between Logan and Kevin, because it is unlikely that the confrontation can end at such a point, and if instead of Knight, Owens follows Logan to Mania, then I will be simply happy."

Genuine heel heat, everybody wanted him to lose, plus Owens is pretty over so the fans were invested in this. Paul didn't go full acrobatic and worked like a chicken heel which was great and when he eventually started using more of his high flying moves they looked fantastic. Great finish with the brass knuckles, it was executed perfectly."

Logan Paul busted out so many moves I didn't even know he was capable of and Kevin Owens was awesome as usual. I can see people being disappointed by the finish but it was actually kind of perfect because Logan Paul's attempt to cheat with the brass knucks is what ultimately gets Owens DQ'd, giving Paul even more heat for being so smarmy and cheap. This was the only match of the night I really enjoyed, so I'm shocked to see it have a lower rating than the boring and sloppy Women's Rumble match--I mean really?"

They switched it with Paul hitting some flying and working over the hand/arm. The targeted hand stuff was really well done and established early. Owens got to do some lovely little bits of selling where he wasn't using his right hand. It was fairly subtle but comms picked up on it. Logan Paul is good because he listens to people and does moves that suit him. He puts together matches way better than he has any right to have at this stage of his career. MOTN. Although I docked it points for the awful 619 attempt. Lets leave that one in the locker room, cheers."

Logan Paul working the damaged arm of KO was the logical thing to do and makes him look more than a glorified spot monkey. Kevin carried Logan perfectly and put his veteran status to the test with great results. I specially loved the finish with Logan winning by DQ. It makes him look more hateable, it's more credible than having him beating a guy with nearly 25 years of experience and was fresher than having Logan winning the same way he did at Crown Jewel. I think they're going for LA Knight vs Logan Paul at WrestleMania, so I strongly doubted KO would win here. Solid match, great way to finish the match, best in-ring performance of Logan Paul and splendid veteran job by Owens (*** 1/2)"

[5.0] "This was an underwhelming match with Kevin Owens implicating a hard-hitting style and Logan Paul showcasing a high-flying approach. Kevin initially dominated the match until Logan targeted the hand that Kevin had injured. There were some intriguing moments, such as Logan attempting to superplex Kevin, only to be reversed. Kevin Owens also kicked out of the One Lucky Punch, Logan's manager, Jeff, tried to assist, but the referee caught him. A Town Down Under appeared, with Austin Theory handing brass knuckles to Logan. Kevin countered the One Lucky Punch, took the brass knuckles, and struck Logan with them. Kevin Owens seemed poised for victory, but the referee caught him with the brass knuckles. In a creative twist, the referee called for the bell, and Logan Paul won via disqualification. While the finish was creative, it was Logan Paul's first U.S. Title defense since October, and considering the talents of both wrestlers, the match felt underwhelming. I believe they could have delivered a much better performance, especially if they had continued the storyline involving Kevin's injured hand. I rate it 5/10 underwhelming but not entirely terrible but it's only memorable for that ending nothing else."

There are some exciting moves, and Logan's athleticism continues to impress, but there was very little substance beneath any of that. I didn't find the story with Owens' had to be very interesting or even all that relevant to anything in the end. I felt like they build up a much more interesting story in their promo segment on Smackdown this week regarding Owens' resilience, then didn't really deliver much more than what felt like a series of spots. The finish really left a sour taste in my mouth as well, as the match ended with some poorly executed interference and a very lame disqualification. While still good, this was an underwhelming match, and I can't say that I am looking forward to seeing it a second time."

Loved more old-schoolish approach to the match, having a story of Logan constantly attacking Owens' hand, Kevin did a good job of selling it and Paul did a good job of always remembering to target it. There was also some nice wrestling in there, they have some nice chemistry, Owens is expectedly good and Paul looking equal, also showing his amazing athleticism. The finish was also fun and nice of them to follow-up with crowd-pleasing table spot."

Logan Paul's in-ring performance continues to be impressive, showing improvement in both facial expressions and character work between spots. Teaming up with someone like Owens elevated both the overall quality of the match and made Logan that much of a star, man continues to impress me every day. The clever finish, with Owens placing his hand for the referee to see, was executed perfectly, and I guess that may leave at a sour note for some, but I liked it."

"This was the best match of the night, though the last few minutes were questionable. Logan continues to show he is a natural to pro wrestling, he and KO worked well together. The match fell apart when Jeff came to ringside. I know it was to set up Theory and Waller to run in but it was extremely awkward, went too long, and killed the heat. A DQ finish for a match being built for this long was unnecessary. If they didn't want to swap the belt there are many better ways to get around it, like having Waller/Theory run in so KO wins by DQ. The face loosing by DQ for being stupid and not hiding the knuckles really made this match drop. However, the wrestling before all that was well done and the match would have been rated far higher if not for the ending shenanigans."

Logan worked on Kevins arm for a lot of this match which was boring. Owens was far from his best here as well. Felt like they didnt really mesh well or they just went for the wrong style of match. Finish comes when Logans buddy tries to interfere but gets caught by the ref. He stalls long enough for Austin theory to come and help Logan by giving him knucks but Owens steals it from him hits him with them but while makin the 3 count the ref catches the knucks on Owens hand. He stops the count and disqualifies Owens. Creative finish that sets up a 2nd match between them. Although ending a title match in dq on a PPV this big is never good imo. 3.25/5 average match"

Towards the middle, it starts to find its footing and the flow works well between the two performers. Logan Paul has really improved over the last year and is doing a decent variety of moves now, and his Buckshot is decent enough. But then the weirdness with Jeff! happens and I'm just so very, very confused. Nothing about this match makes sense from that moment on and it thoroughly broke up the flow for something that was building up a nice rhythm. The ref catching KO's usage of the brass knuckles was well-executed, though. 1.75/5"

Logan, to his credit, takes wrestling seriously and he isn't in it just for the additional fame. We know he can wrestle a good match; the match at Crown Jewel in 2022 was quite possibly the best match from either man over the past couple of years. However, the DQ finish was incredibly stupid, and when you have only four matches on a card, you can't be ending one of them with a stupid disqualification. Without it, maybe a 7 or an 8. But with it a 5 and that feels generous."

The storytelling around Owens' hand was quite good and both men work was very solid and I can't helped by being impressed by Paul's work, selling and will to improve every match. The DQ-ending would make it go down from 8 to 7, but it makes sense : using Logan Paul's usual cheating way and twisting them was quite clever and good way to continue this feud while having Owens getting quite a personal revenge on Paul by kicking him with the brass-knuckles then putting him through the table. 7/10."

That being said, I'm not giving it extra points because it's this "non-wrestler" doing wrestler things well. He's kind of limited but he is incredible at doing what he can do. MORE interference in this massively overbooked show. Ending was fine both parties look incredibly strong, I just hope that they pay it off with a rematch down the road. I'm pretty much done talking about the match, so here's a couple standout things in the match: 1) Is Corey Graves for real when he talks about the Octopus hold being made "more famous" by Paul than motherfucking Antonio Inoki? WWE is way too far up their own ass. 2) Those European uppercuts from Logan are better than Cesaro's. 3) That spot where Paul tortures Owen's hand and pulls off the tape was kind of ruined by the ref grabbing the trash so quick. 4) They finally got a prop guy who can make Brass Knucks look good."

Who tf is Jeff btw. And the whole friendship between Logan, Theory and Waller is so tiring to me. To give the credits where it's due WWE found their perfect assholes stable. I think the overbooked part ultimately lied when his friend interfered and Waller&Theory both involved but it's a strategy that you can buy actually. The post match beatdown was cool and cathartic. I just like KO beating people down. Booking the match around hand&arm targeting was expected but welcome (yeah announcer team we are very well aware Paul has real 'titanum' inserted inside his right hand). The finish was horrible. I know this will eventually lead to some type of No DQ Match at Mania or something. But some dude named Jeff jumping out of the barricade to distract everyone from Waller or Theory giving Paul brass knucks just for Owens to get DQ'd cause he used them on Paul, is super corny and lame. I do not know who the guy was who interfered, and I do not follow often enough to know why Waller and Theory were there, so maybe it is my fault, but that detracted from proceedings, especially following interference in the previous match. Logan Paul is so smooth, and he was selling a bunch, actually much more than any full-timer that I saw. He peppered in a little crowd work too. MVP of the night for me. The obvious pain point is the non-finish on a Big Four PPV, always going to be divisive, but I thought it worked."
