Was probably my favorite Thatcher title match, and I remember it being a hell of a performance from both guys with Thatcher just being vicious and Gargano being great at playing the smaller babyface who has a lot of heart. So as expected these two put on a classic match for the florida crowd. Evolve has had so many great matches in this small but lovely venue, and this one surely ranks amongst the best. ****+"

[3.0] "I'll be the stick in the mud here, and say the match was not good at all. The wrestling action was fine, as this is Timothy Thatcher's bread and butter and Johnny Gargano could follow him. Yet, it just felt like an enxhibition of mat wrestling, with nothing noteworthy happening, as even having watched it twice I feel at a loss remembering how it ended. The fact that this was an half-hour match of filler, with nothing memorable coming out of it, makes it a terrible main event and a painfully mediocre and boring wrestling match between two declared figureheads of EVOLVE, which reflects badly on the promotion. Their actual matwork is clean enough to prevent this from being a true disaster, but it is the very definition of mediocrity."

[7.0] "Another definitive title defense for Thatcher at the expense of fan favorite Gargano. Honestly speaking I don't think the match needed to go almost 30 minutes because it really dragged at times. Gargano isn't exactly a great grappler, so his mat wrestling skills against Thatcher weren't that interesting. When it came to actual moves and strikes though is when Gargano really shined. Unfortunately though Thatcher tapped Gargano out after consistently working the latters arm, ****."
