[4.0] "The match kicked off with some excellent moves. Overall, this match was basic, but it was acceptable for a kickoff. Both wrestlers showcased their skills effectively."
[5.0] "Tidy little pre-show match that continues the STRONG Survivor Challenge which has been giving a nice showcase to Vandagriff. With only 6 minutes here it is hard to say how high the ceiling is for either guy, but mostly everything here was done well. Some of Vandagriff's striking is noticeably light or off the mark, his athleticism mostly makes up for it though. Goldy kept his offense pretty simple and played up his heel character that was forgettable, still better than trying to do something impressive that he isn't ready for. **1/2"
[4.0] "As with these previous STRONG Survivor matches, nothing super special but cromulent enough. Both guys are doing A LOT more playing to the crowd than we would have seen in the LA Dojo days, felt much more like a US indy match than anything New Japan specific."
[5.0] "Pretty generic match on the pre-show. Neither man looked relatively good, but they also didn't look bad. NJPW seem decently high on Matt Vandagriff, interested in seeing where that goes."
[6.0] "A very simple match to showcase the athleticism of these two dudes (spoiler: they have a lot), obviously we are talking about a kick - off so it's obvious they couldn't do too much but I liked this bout for what it was. I hope these guys won't be fucked up. ***1/4"
