[7.0] "Tommy Rich being in could have been disappointing but he did nothing as Morton did his usual job of selling death for the full match. A few years before, this would have been amazing but at this point it's nothing we haven't seen before and the RNR aren't on top of the world anymore either. Nevertheless it's still impossible for them to have an objectively bad match. Southern Boys come in for the distraction to set up a rematch of their classic, but Cornette and Lane quit after this so we never see it."

[6.0] "At this point I'm just weirdly enjoying the absolute lack of reaction that Tommy Rich gets everytime he's in the ring, no matter who he's teamed with. The Midnight were carrying the match, as they're always so original and clever while getting heat, plus Morton knows how to sell, so even though they didn't set the seats on fire it was pretty enjoyable."

[7.0] "This match was kind of strange, but still had a lot to enjoy. Structurally it was quite odd, as nearly the entire match from the outset was just the Midnight Express beating down Ricky Morton - Tommy Rich did next to nothing the entire match. Thankfully, the Midnight Express are great at working over their opponent, and Morton is great at selling, so I still thought this was pretty entertaining. Unfortunately the crowd was relatively reserved, and the finish was a bit silly, but there was still enough that I liked here for the match to still earn a pretty positive rating. It's a shame that Stan Lane (in addition to Jim Cornette) left WCW after this - he had a good showing here (as usual), and the Midnight Express were regularly a high point on every show that they appeared on."

These guys just went out there to try and steal the show, and I think they were pretty successful. Tommy Rich and Ricky Morton work better than you'd expect them too; Robert Gibson was injured during this time. The real spotligt belongs to the Midnight Express; they went out with a chip on their shoulder. Unfortunately this would become the Midnight Express' last PPV match."

[7.0] "Call me, crazy, but I liked this match a lot. It would have been better with Robert Gibson instead of Tommy Rich, but it was a whole lot of fun. Stan Lane acted like a goof the entire match, but it was a nice note for the Stan Lane to exit the company on. I will miss the Midnight Express matches, but they hadn't been featured a ton in recent months anyway, at least on important events. Tommy Rich spent most of the match on the apron as Morton never really tagged him in."

[6.0] "Would've definitely been better had it been Midnights vs. Rock 'n' Roll, but it was still a pretty good final match for the Midnight Express, with Lane and Cornette leaving the territory after this show. Tommy Rich was only in the ring for the final two or three minutes, which was actually a good thing because no one rolls around the ring playing dead better than Ricky Morton. The finish was too Jim Herd-ish for me aka a bit shitty, but otherwise this match was good. ***1/4"

[7.0] "I can't believe how little they let Tommy Rich do in this match. Well i guess i can. This was a very good match with a stupid as hell ending. MX were their usual great selves, and Ricky Morton was great selling his ass off. Very enjoyable. ***3/4."

[6.0] "The end of the Midnight Express is them doing exactly what they were best at: kicking the shit out of Ricky Morton. The rocket-launcher to the ramp spot gets a HUUUGE pop. The sole downfall of this match is the nonsensical run-in of the Southern Boys, dressed as cartoonish Cornette parodies, costing The Express the match. I can see why Stan Lane and Cornette would want out. *** 1/2"

[8.0] "This is all Morton and MX, and that's just the way it should be. Fantastic heat segment with MX throwing everything in the book at Morton and he just keeps coming, including after a Rocket Launcher out onto the ramp. When Morton does tag in Rich it loses a little luster, and the Southern Boys appear cosplaying as Jim Cornette and it's all a bit messy, but most of the match is really good."
