[9.0] "*****1/2 a epic match; they'll never make me hate you. A beautiful match with perfect chemistry. While this sequel didn't quite reach the heights of their WK11 encounter--widely considered one of the greatest matches in history--it still achieved a tremendous level of quality while being a distinctly different kind of bout. They worked at a slower pace early on, yet managed to make the first 30 minutes fly by as the match built in tempo and intensity alongside their physical exhaustion. Perfect sequences, brutal intensity, and excellent pacing. A key detail here is how Okada initially sells the leg damage as if his life depended on it (unlike Omega, who doesn't overplay the damage he takes to his own leg), only to completely disregard that injury for the remaining 50 minutes, even executing dropkicks without selling the pain. This really reminded me of the '99 Misawa vs. Kobashi match, where Kobashi constantly targeted Misawa's arm, yet Misawa eventually ignored it entirely--even using that arm for constant elbow strikes with virtually no sign of pain. The difference is that Kobashi had placed great emphasis on the limb work to make it matter, whereas Omega didn't really do that here; the error was Okada's--over-selling the damage early on only to treat it as irrelevant later. A legendary finish: those final 15 minutes are among the best I've ever seen. The intensity and emotion behind the move exchanges, the desperation of both Omega and Okada, the frantic state of the Bullet Club at ringside, and Cody contemplating throwing in the towel all added layers of drama. In the end, Okada lands a second Rainmaker but lacks the strength to stay standing or cover Omega, and the time limit expires--allowing Okada to retain the title. The Dominion match the following year stands as an improved version of this spectacular contest."

Losing energy/stamina/whatever as the time limit runs but both combatants still fighting tooth-and-nail to get a win over the other can be a very cool way for a match to go out with the right wrestlers. Luckily, the combatants were two of the greatest to grace the ring in the 2010s."

[9.0] "Incredible atmosphere and drama throughout at a solid, albeit somewhat methodical, pace. It is probably a perfect sequel in that it adds depth to their story while achieving a transcendence almost on par with the original match, albeit through a different method and narrative. However, the action is not quite as spectacular as the first match, lacking some of its intensity and urgency, with the creativity at times feeling somewhat contrived and slightly bloated. The mid-air powerbomb and the Awesome Bomb tease stand out in particular, as does Okada constantly cutting off Omega, which, although logical, becomes a little tedious. The crisp work in the opening moments, the brutal Germans from Okada, the V-Triggers from Omega, and the dramatic selling from both men are practically flawless. The missed Rainmaker is especially memorable, and the towel spot works extremely well as a pivot in the match, with the subsequent visual of Bullet Club surrounding the ring providing a simple but effective dramatic element. In the closing stretch, the way the tension and atmosphere build is very special, driven by the collective awareness that something very rare is taking place. Although the time-limit draw is impressive in execution, the lack of a decisive finish is inevitably somewhat disappointing. Despite minor flaws, it is a legendary match that is both complex and nuanced, which succeeds in elevating the rivalry as a whole and, ultimately, the pedigree of both men."

[10.0] "Not as perfect as their first WK match in my opinion, with a few noticeable flaws (Okada's leg damage not being a factor for the remainder of the match, for example) and kiiiiiind-of "dragging" a tiny little bit in the middle, but these two operate on such a different level that not giving them a full 10 would be to trivialize the entire scale system. More-or-less flaws, THIS is the golden standard of what professional wrestling can be. That's why Meltzer just said "fuck it" to his 5 stars system. I get it. Imperfect in the realm of perfection. Another masterpiece."

[10.0] "the middle felt long but it didnt to me feel like a hour long match, my only big criticism is i think they used the both men down a little to much, and maybe to many rainmakers, I like the story of the match here as you have Omega getting his rematch, Kenny added muscle mass which adds to this match, Okada does alot here using the dive over the front barricade, elbow through a table. Omega uses V-Triggers with some near the end of the match having a sound of death, Around the 45ish min mark it gets real good as Cody tries to throw in the towel and you can see as omega begins to turn it around Cody looks not happy almost angry at Omega which sets up the next year and a half well as the rest of bullet club cheer on Omega, Cody never really does, Omega and Okada then go back and fourth with kenny finally finding the One Winged Angel but its to close to the ropes , Okada gets a rainmaker and falls down and couldn't make the cover before the draw finish setting up Omega/Okada III having a need and a want, Good way to set up future storys and a damn good match."

[10.0] "When I watched this match, I had low expectations. I didn't like the Wrestle Kingdom match and when I heard this match ended in a draw, I was skeptical. I didn't want to sit for an hour and be disappointed that I wasted my time. Boy was I wrong. This match was probably one of the greatest matches I have ever seen. The in-ring action was perfect. The near falls were well-timed. Kenny's performance was one of the greatest I have ever seen. Okada didn't overuse the Rainmaker this time as he did in the other match. Okada was also the standout star in this match. These two were trying to kill each other at times. Every move had a purpose and never did they overuse their respective moves. Everything was well-timed and perfectly executed. Man, let me tell you the last 60 seconds of this match are probably the greatest last 60 seconds of any match. Basically, it becomes a mad dash to pin each other. Kenny is trying to put Okada away. Then Okada hits a rainmaker so hard he goes flying across the ring. Okada and Omega are down. The announcer announces 25s left. Okada starts to catch his breath and then starts to crawl for Omega. Omega is out of it. 10s. The crowd is going nuts. 5s. Okada almost reaches him and then the bell rings. Both men are down. The crowd gasps. This ending was amazing. They couldn't have done this match better and in my opinion, this was the best match in their series. If you haven't seen this match. Go watch it. It's worth it. 5/5. (It would've been a six but I only hand those out once a year.) (This opinion stills stands, even 3 years later)"

[10.0] ""The Feast of the Supermen." Conflict, urgency, willpower, brutality, and spectacle. A five star classic in god damn every regard of professional wrestling. Their first match at the dome began with segments of both men figuring each other out in the ring. This second match begins with them already knowing each other. Omega and Okada are true wrestling rivals in the way they counter each other. The first half is a true marvel in this regard watching them with a full tank of energy. Obviously the near-falls in the former half aren't as nailbiting but that doesn't matter to me. Both guys in those moments were trying to WIN and the way they sold their efforts was fucking spectacular. As their energy depletes, their willpower never ceases. Omega and Okada were not going to lose the fight on this night. The counters and reversals happen less and less and both men start to rely on their signatures with Okada dropkicking Omega into high heaven and the other using his patented V-Trigger to try and decapitate the champion. There are countless moments in this match where these guys land on their head so hard I almost (and sometimes fully) scream. It is a god damn miracle these guys had the athleticism and endurance to make it to the climax of this match. Omega's burst of energy after Cody threatens to throw in the towel is actually my favorite spot of the match more than the legendary Rainmaker Collapse. I would murder somebody to be watching that happen live. The way he counters the Rainmaker with a kick, then that V-Trigger Frankensteiner combo godddddddd! Dashed hopes and dreams came running back. Kudos to the Young Bucks too with great supporting performances. Their words of encouragement to Kenny actually added to the atmosphere and belief that the challenger could still do the damn thing. But, Okada refused. The champion's performance is not one of "ugh just stay down already" it's one of "FUCK HES STILL UP FUCK! " It's fantastic. Before Omega lands the One-Winged Angel where Okada gets the rope break, he is hunched over Kenny's head, furiously punching and beating at the top of his skull, REFUSING to just take it. That is fighting spirit. This whole match is the epitome of fighting spirit. The will to not just win, but to keep fighting. When the one-minute left is called, there's a split second where Kenny cracks a smile of relief, maybe from the kayfabe wrestler or maybe from the real performer, before locking back in to keep giving it his all. He REFUSES to accept defeat. But still, he eats the craziest fucking Rainmaker I've ever seen. Okada can't get to the cover in time and the match is a draw. We'll never know if that would've finished the match had there been just a few more seconds left. In my opinion though, that stubborn bastard would've kicked out. *****"

[5.0] "The first half of this match a 2/10 - the crowd aren't biting on the nearfalls, its pretty plodding. Everything post Bullet Club coming to ringisde is 8/10 - the crowd are really into it, the nearfalls hit, the pacing really works, the story breathes and you genuinely believe Omega can beat Okada and prove Cody wrong. I'll meet it halfway with the rating. I can go either way on the last few minutes - Kenny needing to beat Omega with the one winged angel rather than trying to get the win within the time limit remaining is an interesting note, but you don't feel the conflict between the two."

[10.0] "Funny story, I thought I was watching the two out of three falls match for the first time, where Kenny Omega wins the title off of Okada, which would be their fourth singles match together in their series. Before watching this, I've only watched the first one from Wrestle Kingdom, which was a fucking stellar match. Only at the latter half of this match did I realize I wasn't watching their fourth match, but instead their second one. Granted, maybe I should've thought about how one's from June 11th and one's from June 9th, but I also didn't realize they are from different years, 2017 and 2018 respectively, so I didn't think much of it. So I guess I'm now watching these four matches in order. Serves me right. - Anyways, holy hell this match is fucking excellent, and I'd put it almost right up with their Wrestle Kingdom match, even with its slight imperfections. Putting together a 60 minute match and make it great is a really hard thing to do, because an hour is a long time for a match. If it's not structured right, and if it's not with the correct opponents with the correct styles, it can drag and be boring depending on the viewer. A good example is the WrestleMania 12 Iron-man match between Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels, which in some aspects is very similar to this match. About 60 minutes long, with no pinfalls for the entire duration (except for the overtime in the WrestleMania 12 match of course). And while personally I do love the WrestleMania match quite a bit, I will admit it can drag, and for some people it's just not a good time. And while Bret Hart and Shawn Micheals are some of the best technicians from North America, and the match is a technical masterpiece, it dragged a lot, and there wasn't enough to keep things going when you don't have any pinfalls. I will admit that this match between Okada and Omega does drag in the first half in places, it's barely even an issue at the end of the day because I think every spot they did and the amount of spots they did really keeps you engaged even in the slower bits. Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada are the perfect people for this type of match, due to being fantastic both in technical submissions and in high flying. The submission work in the beginning is really well done, with Omega working on the knee that Okada partially landed on while landing on Omega in the outer ring. It can be a bit slow, and there are times where you are waiting for a little more to happen, it keeps you engaged. This match really picks up in the second half though, with BULLET CLUB entering and circling the ring, encouraging Omega to keep going. It speeds up from there, as both wrestlers show more exhaustion and pain with bursts of adrenaline and pulling everything they can to keep going. The best part of the match is Omega's One Winged Angel, and Okada flicking his leg into the rope at the last minute. Every pin attempt in the latter half was stellar. You could say it ending in a draw might be the biggest flaw, but honestly I think it works really well in its story. Both guys looked absolutely strong and incredible, both could've pinned the other if it wasn't for a little bit of luck, and it really builds to the eventual rematch(es). I put it on par with their first encounter in my opinion, and I'm glad I accidentally didn't skip on this one."

The match was amazing, but once the Bullet Club came out, the match went into freaking overdrive. I mean big move after big move, kick-out after kick-out, I mean, it was just incredible. These guys were stiff as fuck here. The timer running out made this match even more intense for fans."

[9.0] "I used to have this at 5 stars but upon rewatch, there is just a little bit of filler in this. The match is still absolutely incredible though. Just like their first match every big spot and every big moment is expertly built to. They manage to milk so much drama out of the simple act of setting up a move which make the already huge payoffs feel even greater. There's a great example of this around 20 minutes in. Kenny tries setting up a top rope dragon suplex, the same move that almost broke Okada's neck in their first match. Okada blocks it and knocks Kenny off the top rope, but he swiftly climbs back up. Okada just about blocks Kenny's second attempt and both guys spill onto the apron. They spend time jockeying for position, each guy trying to land a move on the other, before Okada is able to hit a huge Death Valley driver on the apron, turning the match in his favour. Had this just been just another move in the match it wouldn't have had the same effect, but because both guys spent time building towards it and Kenny actually goes on to sell it for several minutes, it makes the move feel more important, and not just another spot. The first 40 minutes of this match is just more of this. Its slow at points but it does reward patience with a few gnarly spots that keep the match interesting. The final 20 minutes is where the match really kicks into overdrive though and its where all of the build up starts to pay off. After taking an elbow drop through a table, Kenny is weakened, barely able to fight. This causes the Bullet Club to come out and threaten to throw in the towel. Seemingly spurred on by this Kenny starts fighting back and mounting offence. Eventually, after not being able to hit it in their first match and after several failed attempts in this match, Kenny hits the One Winged Angel, but Okada just barely makes the ropes in one of the best nearfalls of all time. After this, its sheer desperation from both men. 45 minutes in and both guys are running on fumes. They throw everything they have at eachother but neither guy will stay down, most of the time having enough energy to nail a big move but not having the energy to make the cover. It eventually comes down to the wire. 57 minutes in and both guys keep fighting. After a final burst of energy from both men, Okada hits a Rainmaker at the 59 minute mark but physically cannot make the cover. He spends the final few seconds of the match trying to claw his way over to Kenny but he doesn't make it in time and the time limit expires. I did mention this match having some filler, and it takes place towards the beginning. Kenny works over Okada's leg for a few minutes around 10 minutes in which Okada sells pretty well. Unfortunately it doesn't really come into play after this one segment so it does kinda feel a bit pointless in the grand scheme of things. It's not a massive issue and the rest of the match is still phenomenal but that segment and the general slow pace at the beginning is enough to knock this down from the full 5 for me. Still, this is another expertly wrestled match between these two featuring one of the most dramatic and well built final stretches I've ever seen. Kenny and Okada where operating on a completely different level in these matches and I don't think there's anyone alive today who can wrestle a 60 minute match and have it be this compelling. ****3/4"

[6.0] "I've always considered this match to be the weakest in the series by a mile. A time limit draw did fit the story they wanted to tell, but it was the epitome of the long, drawn-out, bloated NJPW main event style Gedo loves so much. The sequences were smooth, the storytelling was there, but that was like, 25 minutes of this 60 minute match? There was selling of exhaustion in the sense that they both laid around a lot to fill the time since they couldn't maintain their pace for the full runtime. I could never get into this one because of that, just like how most matches that break the 30-minute mark lose me (and this match had over 30 minutes of filler). ***"

Like when Kenny Omega dodged the rain maker out of exhaustion I marked out. When Kenny Omega reversed the drop kick into a jumping powerbomb I was surprised. The fact that they sold the whole match well was crazy too me. This is some textbook level of selling. They could not finish the match because they were exhausted just like a real match. The only downside I have is the Cody Rhodes segment. It added some drama but it kinda ruin the flow. I have to give this 6.75 out 5 stars it is almost to the same level as their first match."

[10.0] "Insane. The way the entire match was built, from the patented spots, to the callbacks to their first match, to the complete exhaustion, an incredible match, simply put. As I complain, Okada's leg selling could be more prevalent, as the limb work produced a exagerated effect on Okada's knee early on, but it only lasted for some minutes as it quickly got abandoned till the end of the match; I actually expected to be used again, especially as both wrestlers were trying to get any possible advantage to win towards the end, so yeah, I don't think I have a concrete rating as this might change. I'm not a fan of draws, but this one right here rightfully deserved it. I guess the surprise factor of seeing them for the first time accounted for a "better match" in my opinion, but I don't feel confident saying which one is best so far. Okada and Kenny capacity to make it escalate to those unthinkable sequences at the ending part of the match were amazing."

They spend very, very lengthy amounts of time at the end just laying on the mat, but it feels earned due to the work they put in before that. Still, they go to that well too many times and it gets a little dull, but it's all in service to the story and 100% works for the match. VERY SLIGHTLY better than the Wrestle Kingdom encounter overall."

[9.0] "Well, here I am, after one and a half year of watching their first encounter, finding the strenght and the guts to watch this praying it doesn't disappoints me like the WK match did (great match, but I don't see it as a best match of all time contender). This here just surpasses everything that other match had, thanks to the more than solid base they already built in it. Now there was a more compelling story behind, a more interesting reason to get behind it. Both men went locked-in for this one and they gave their last breath to thrive over the other, unsuccesfully. The match going a full hour long doesn't feel eternal at all. I just felt it like it was the typical 30 minute match, which speaks volumes of the amazing talent of both men to make the match feel fresh and not dull in every moment. The moves were exquisite (the powerbomb counter to the dropkick was freaking awesome), the build-up of the turning points in the match were organical and perfectly executed (Okada and Omega struggling to hit a move to each other in the top of the corner, the Elbow Drop to the table that changed the entire complexion of the match). The Cody Rhodes interference here was also very well done, setting the tone for his eventual betrayal of Kenny, adding some drama the match was truly needing at that moment, but not taking the spotlight at all from the real stars of the night. The way both wrestlers took advantages in the match were really great done, with Okada hurting his leg and letting Omega have his time of dominance, but then Okada regaining some strenght and hurting Omega so bad he wasn't able to properly take advantage of his counters. The limbwork was perfect, Omega working on Okada's arm since the match started, Okada doing the same with Kenny's legs, then moving on to the back and the neck. The moment they went with the table breaking spot the match truly started getting excited, as the main reason for me to not consider this to be a 5 star match is that it lacked drama at some points, and it was because of going to the 60 minute mark, so they couldn't put everything they really got until a later stage of the match, but when they did, holy hell it was just great. Everything just felt like it was supposed to do, everything looking like there were some huge things at stake, a do or die situation, the struggling to beat the other, Okada having to resort to just dropkicking Omega to put him down and survive, as the match turned into just that, pure survival for Okada and Omega trying as hard as he could to put down Okada, but the damage and fatigue was impossible to handle for both men as the bell rang before Okada could pin Kenny for the win. Amazing moments in the whole match like Okada's OWA rope break, Omega fading to avoid the Rainmaker. Perfection in the technical aspect, perfection in storytelling execution, nearly perfect in psychology. I personally think there are way better matches in history, not necessarily on the in-ring aspect, but they are way more effective than this one. I just think the match lacked some more drama to fully be a 5 star match, but in my personal ranking it goes right behind the worst 5 star match I've ever seen and it's the best **** 3/4 match I've ever seen. I don't know about the G1 match, but the 2/3 falls match has to be insane if they use everything they built with this and the WK matches."

The visual of Okada crawling with every bit of his remaining strength to pin a drained out Omega with the clock ticking and seconds to spare, the sequence where Okada sets Kenny for the Rainmaker, does the ripcord and just as he is about the hit the clothesline, a fatigued Kenny passes out and falls flat on the mat, just pure brilliance. I know the term has become quite overused in modern day wrestling, but this really was *cinema*. Drama, action, twists, anticipation, this match had it all. One of the greatest matches of all time, by two of the greatest wrestlers of all time. What a feud it has been. Simply brilliant."

I love the way this match was structured and the story it told. The first 20 mins were largely in Kenny's favor, the next 20 went to Okada, and the last 20 was the 2 best in the goddamn world going back and forth, proving their is no gap between them, but also proving both are willing to fight forever to claim that spot, which made the time limit finish perfect. I was a little thrown off by the elite towel spot at first, but I was quickly hooked again, as that spot got the crowd firmly behind Kenny for the next sequence, and that led to what may be the best near fall of all time with the One Winged Angel rope break. There is of course the iconic rainmaker reversal here as well. This match left me speechless, all I could say was wow."

[10.0] "The greatest spot of all time happenned in that match, and the spot ifself was...nothing? We are going to talk about this later in that comment. Going back to back to write about Kenny vs Okada is a such fucking dumb idea that I'm putting to work right now, I personally don't care anymore, I need to write about this match. Imagine the pressure of doing one of the best matches ever and them six months later, you need to wrestle that same guy again, but this time, in a match that it's gonna end being a sixty minutes time limit draw and not only that, it need to be perfect, again. And guess what? It was. Not only that, but it had moments in this match that did not have in the infamous WK match. For example, they surely understand each other much better in that match, the moves, the sequences, everything looked natural and honestly, they're not doing this for nothing, they did this to show how much they know each other. Kenny Omega focusing on Okada's right leg after he executed a Tope Can Hilo, a unnatural move for him, and Okada sold like it was the worst fucking pain in his life for twenty minutes was honestly a great idea. If Okada spend the entire ONE HOUR selling his injured leg, the match will fucking suck. After some time, the pain went over, okay, move on. Even the botches that they did and yes, it was botches, they made look realistic, they made look like they're trying to execute something different, like they tried every single time in this match until a certain point, and for some casual fan that somehow dropped into that match, you can be easily fumbled and think that this was really in the script. Kenny tried to do again the avalanche Dragon Suplex he did in the previous match but he wasn't able, Okada knows him, he tried to avoid it at best and they spend at least three minutes in that corner avoiding super moves until Okada perform a Death Valley Driver in the apron, you don't watch that and stay bored, you watch that and stay anxious. They made this match for Kenny dominate in the beggining so as he did, but after sometime, Kenny stopped in the same issue he had in the last match, he wasn't able to execute the OWA on Okada, no matter how hard he tried, and during that time, he was still taking a lot of Rainmakers, becoming weaker and weaker. Reach a point that after taking the Rainmaker for the fourth time, he was over, done, Okada could simply pin him and end the match right there. However, Okada is not only fighting for win, he is fighting for mock Omega, to show for him and all his friends that already are in the outside watching, that even being a good wrestler, Kenny is not on the same level as Okada. Kenny was in so much pain that Cody almost throw the towel for him in that time, and while that tension between Cody and Young Bucks happenned outside, Kenny somehow woke up and did a V-Trigger+Poisonrana on Okada, FINALLY GETTING BACK INTO THE MATCH....just to be dropkicked seconds later. Both guys in the floor, BC all around the ring, cheering for Omega, ask him to get up and fight. After some struggles and moves executed, Kenny FINALLY DID A OWA, a move that no one ever kicked out before besides his friend and lover Kota Ibushi, the match is over, KENNY IS GONNA FINALLY WIN, that's what I thought and everyone that watched this...Okada did one of the most genius moves I ever saw, putting his leg (yes, the injured one) in the rope, breaking it. It was fifty minutes already, ten lefting, both guys are tired, exausted, cannot do big moves anymore, cannot do grapples anymore, not even submissions, and that's when the biggest spot of all time happenned. Okada picked Omega to execute a Rainmaker, Omega land on the floor due of exaustion and Okada missed him, landing on the floor as well. Imagine this scene at me while I was super tired at 10PM, the time I normally sleep. After that, they somehow manage to keep the match on heat, only with V-Triggers and Dropkicks, basically, until finally Okada performed a Rainmaker...that one he tried to crawl into Omega that land in the floor basically DEAD, but he wasn't able to reach Omega in time, ending in such a dramatic and unsattisfied time limit draw. One of the best matches of all time and one of the few ones that can be compared with the one they did at WK. Like I said, if you want to compare a match that Omega did, the only way you can do this is putting another match that he did. Until now, the best match in that year for me is the one he did against Gabe Kidd, and the only way to be topped is if Bryan Danielson return or if Omega want that. My fingers are already fucking hurting, the only thing I can say after all of this is that is a FUCKING AND TREMENDOUS five stars match for me, and well... if you wanna know how can you put drama at a sport like this one without both guys going into a exausting and long feud that basically only had verbal agressions, watch this and enjoy with a smile in your face in the end just like I did."

[10.0] "The infamous 60 minute time limit draw. Going in they were rumors and murmurs of them doing it but no one actually thought it would happen. Everyone thought this was the crowning moment of Omega due to the first ever NJPW USA shows in July, so it all made sense, but then again Gedo is the greatest booker of all time and waited on that for a whole year and it was perfect. This match was a perfect draw and was in the middle of the legendary Okada reign, the moment when Omega collapsed and Okada missed the rainmaker is still infamous today and the callback a year later was the greatest thing ever. The mix in with the Cody drama and the BC all out there pushing for the Omega win as they haven't had a BC leader hold the IWGP title for more than 2 years. It was so so great. It tends to get lost in the shuffle now due to the 1st one and the 4th one being so famous and more dramatic than this one I would say. But this doesn't make this 60 minute draw any less perfect. *****"

[10.0] "Well, you had to wonder if Kazuchika Okada and Kenny Omega could even match their Wrestle Kingdom match, nevermind top it. I don't know if they quite did either, but that's to say... this was still a phenomenal match. The selling and exhaustion these two showed, and I fully believed it. I've never felt so bad for two wrestlers before, considering all they went through. The action throughout was so on point, even the slower early parts keeping me hooked. As early as the 30 minutes point, I would've bought a finish, but they went for another 30 after that. Then, when Cody Rhodes came in, threatening to throw in the white towel for Omega, this match reached that top level. Omega's comeback was unbelievable. The crowd were almost 100% behind him, fully turning him babyface. I was almost speechful and completely exhausted by the end. Another incredible match. Not QUITE as good as their Wrestle Kingdom match for me, but it's still a 10/10. Full respect to the both of them."

This is a time limit draw, but unlike the time limit draws of old, they really do a great job of keeping the match moving throughout the whole hour. If I had one nitpick about this match, I would say that they spent a little too much time outside the ring without Red Shoes starting the count. But still one of the greatest matches of all time, any wrestling fan owes it to themselves to watch this series of matches."

[10.0] "It's weird saying this match is underrated when it's sitting, as I write this, at a 9.69 rating and the 15th best match of over a hundred thousand on this website, but the simple fact is that people really do overlook this because it's not I or IV. And as much as the finale of the quadrilogy is, in my opinion, the greatest match of the 2010s, if not all-time, this might match up with the opener of the series as joint-second-best. If 47 minutes in Tokyo was a statement that Omega and Okada could produce these sorts of matches from their back pocket - a fact we already knew before Tokyo, especially with Okada's Dome epics against Tanahashi - then sixty in Osaka establishes them as two of the greatest long-match wrestlers of all time. Going broadway is a risky proposition, especially in the modern day, but both men make it work seamlessly. Of course, by the 45 minute mark, you get to the metaphorical marathon wall, where it's more of a slug-fest where the winner is dictated by not only if you can get your finisher off, but also if you can get the cover in time. Which is exactly the point where Cody comes out and tries to throw in the towel, only for the rest of the Bullet Club to stop him, giving both men that second wind to keep up the intensity. But only that second wind lasts so long, and by about minute 53, Omega dodges a rainmaker by... face-planting the mat, selling just how spent they both are. The last five minutes are just desperation strikes, where both men are trying anything to keep the other down long enough. Finally, at 59:30, Okada gets the final Rainmaker off, and those last thirty seconds are Okada mustering the energy to crawl over for a certain pin... which he just can't reach. And at this point, Okada has solidified himself as the greatest champion of a generation, and he won't be touched for another year. As any soccer fan will tell you, a hard-fought draw can just be as entertaining as a hard-fought win, and, as one night in Osaka proved, this principle extends just as much to professional wrestling. Quite simply, the greatest draw of all time."

For me, as I'm sure a lot would agree the Bullet Club's so called "civil war" wasn't the best and this match being the beginning of it was too much "bromance" for me to handle. The match itself was nothing fancy compared to the first, but was faster in pace in the beginning, which I always appreciated. The second gear happened then distinguished itself due to stretching out a certain moves/spots, in my opinion. If I could give some sort of credit to the Cody "bromance", the whole towel scene gave a boost to the match and to the fans kicking it to third gear, which was easily some of the best sequences I've seen in wrestling. Absolutely insane, and love how the fans ate it up. Then, the closer it got to the time limit, I'd assume the more rapid the match would go especially on Kenny's perspective but it was the opposite which once again set the match down for me. So overall in terms of star rating, 6 stars for the first match, and 5.75 for this second encounter. p.s. 1 > 2 p.p s. the physical and psychological strains shown here is appreciated."
