Jun Kasai vs. Nick Gage

[9.0] "Dream Match Nick Gage and Jun Kasai Two of the best hardcore wrestlers faced each other this time at GCW The audience said the countdown in the middle of the match and the new year began, which was very cool. A great hardcore match that hit every lamp and moonlight in the hall A pizza cutter was used And both wrestlers were covered in blood, especially Nick Gage"

[6.0] "it's more a best-of than a real match, unfortunately I expected better from Kasai vs Gage, but the finale is crazy though."

[5.0] "I don't wanna see roadies in the ring helping set up weapons for high spots. Much respect to both of these maniacs for taking things to such a cartoonishly violent extent but I can't say it had much of an impact without either man selling much of anything."

[4.0] "It was a 'best of' match to me with not much of the best from either man because Gage is in poor physical condition and while Kasai is still awesome he's not going to go out of his way for an incredible match in this setting. There's not much I can say about this one."

[7.0] "Just two dudes smashing shit over each other's heads -- no need to overcomplicate things. Obviously there is no psychology to it, and the people helping them move outrageous objects into position for the spots is a little goofy, but it is an enjoyable match. The aftermath of the match alone is worth watching this match for; seeing the ring absolutely littered with so much shattered glass is a sight to behold."

[9.0] "Not the biggest GCW fan at all but this was a match to get excited about and it delivered. They did their greatest hits and went a little extra. It was paced well (probably because the new year countdown spliced the match nicely) and the ending light tube back-and-forth is just awesome."

[8.0] "Midnight madness! Let's be honest, the physical work here wasn't great, but that really didn't matter. Kasai and Gage fed off of the rabid, blood simple party atmosphere and went completely OTT with the skin piercing plunder ***3/4"

[10.0] "So, 2024 literally started with a 5* match. This match is not for everyone, it started pretty slowly (but violent at the same time) and after they used their signature pizza cutter and knife they started throwing themselves on Lightubes construction and the ending is so freaking brutal and dangerous that you won't fell the same after. Pretty much the stupid Bloodbath you would expect by these two sickos. What a way to start and end a year at the same time. *****"

[8.0] "A very good main event that I felt lived up to expectations one would have. A ton of violence and Gage particularly was a mess afterwards. I would have to think a rematch has to happen and it would be cool if it were to in Japan as Gage seems to want."

[8.0] "How good this match would be if it had happened 5 or even 3 years ago when Gage was still in his physical prime? I mean, a dream death match. They had to have a 1 on 1 bout, especially after War Games match. This definitely was a fun death match. Tons of insane spots and just a great way for GCW to end 2023. Kasai won, which was quite surprising given the location and promotion they wrestled in, but it made sense after FREEDOMS lost the War Games match. I'm waiting for another match between these two"
