Gabe Kidd vs. Will Ospreay

[9.0] "One of the best matches you'll see in the modern day between top-tier guys that puts the majority of its emphasis on feeling like a fucking struggle. The moves are still there to pop the crowd, but the majority of this just feels like two guys who hate each other wanting to kill each other. One guy wanting to prove he's not gone soft, the other trying to bury him because he thinks he has. A beautiful referee stoppage for the finish is the only way to end such a thing."

[8.0] "This was far from the typical Ospreay match. They were going for the " we just want to kill each other" vibe. It was very good but didn't fully hit. Some of the no selling wasn't great but it was tolerable. I wish there was a little more blood as both guys got little color but oh well. Still a really good match. ***3/4"

[8.0] "(8.1) What and absolute battle. Very physical for a recent Ospreay match which is unsurprising considering it was against Gabe Kidd. All round great match with a fantastic ending, and while I wish the Tiger Driver 91 ended the match the insane hidden blade followed by a kick out at 1 was well worth the TD not being the ending."

[7.0] "[3.25*] This match was good but I do not see why people thought it was so incredible. One of the weakest in Wills year (WOTY case), the last 3-min were 5* stuff but the rest was not. 2 greats nearfalls for Will, 1 for Gabe, 1 amazing kickout at one and the creative stoppage finish, but all of this happened on the last 3 minutes. The beginning was a very no-selling wrestling that I do not rate."

[8.0] "[4.25*] Another great match for Ospreay in a year that has a great case for Wrestler of the year, the chemistry between the two was very high. Kidd's Reverses and Clothesline in this match were fun and the big moment where Ospreay does one of the most insane Hidden Bladen of his career only for Kidd to Kickout at 1 was special."

[6.0] "Not bad but again I miss the hype with a big Ospreay match, The feel they are going for and the actual execution don't seem to match well at all for the most part. Ospreay has his elaborate moveset as always and Kidd has no choice but to wrestle his match, like all of Ospreay's opponents. I liked the ending rather well at least."

[7.0] "They went for a heavy grudge vibe, but also kept reverting to the standard taking turns with moves that didn't work. It didn't help that the crowd kept laughing & joking and that RevPro commentary is so overblown & cringey. Anyway, there was a well executed, but slightly overdressed match lurking in here with Kidd at least doing a grand job of battling on while out on his feet ***1/2"

"What a match, from the build up to the match its self. The in ring story these two showed was top notch, no question! Loved the KO ending thought what was used to perfection in the match! Whatever ring Ospreay steps into he shows the world what Elite really looks like...BRUV!"

[10.0] "What a freaking banger by this was. It made me fell the vibes of Moxley vs Ospreay; this was a complete all out ruleless brawl in which the goal of both was beating the crap out of each others. No dull moments, everything from the first to the last minutes was awesome and the only thing that ruined the magic was the KO ending; it was kinda anticlimatic. ****3/4"

[10.0] "A tale of two strikers wanting to beat the everliving shxt out of each other, and thats exactly what they did. Headbutts, forearms, chops, piledrivers, anything that can decapitate your opponent, they did. Absolutely phenomenal performance by these two."

[9.0] "The finishing stretch and ending of this match was so great. It's Will Ospreay, so the whole match is very good - his floor is so high. The early phase of this match was telling the story of the hatred between Ospreay and Kidd so it was not supposed to be smooth looking. ****1/4"

[8.0] "8.5/10. A great melding of Gabe's madman brawler style and Ospreay's general Ospreayness. The flying elbow he hits in this is incredible."

Gabe Kidd added to the spectacle with a remarkable performance, contributing significantly to the match's intensity. A standout moment for me was the lightning-fast execution of the elbow by Will on Gabe, showcasing their remarkable athleticism. [9.0] "They beat the shit out of each other, it was great. Like scenes outside a council estate Londis. Kidd is one of the only guys in pro wrestling that I watch that feels genuinely terrifying. I could lose the Im a madman me diatribe. Its like when a colleague has one of them You dont have to be mad to work here but it helps signs. Fantastic match though."

[9.0] "They had made this incredibly heated with the Royal Quest spot, the pre-match promos and the meet and greet brawl and in the end these two delivered on it with a great, back-and-forth scrap. It was stiff and hard-hitting and I thought Kidd enhanced his reputation with his showing. The finish was great too, with Ospreay following up the Hidden Blade with forearms to the back of the head. ****1/2"
