[6.0] "Mark wrestled with all his heart and passion and really engaged me with this match, even when he was already eliminated. Jay's whole deal is he wrestles smart and he in fact did, the ending of his matches keep getting creative and really good."

[6.0] "[3.0*] This was a good match. Jay White is very cold right now but Mark Briscoe gave us a great performance, with nice suplexes and a good ending stretch with Jay pretending to be injured before hitting the Blade Runner."

[7.0] "Better than I expected and above average if you consider some other Jay White matches in this tournament, Mark Briscoe is phenomenal and did a great carry-job here, the match was kind of slow paced like expected but delivered greatly, good booking, shame Mark didn't got the win, it was an excellent performance - {***1/4}"

[6.0] "Cool. I liked this one. They started continuing with the Lethal/Rush short match feel, so you couldn't miss an eye on this, Mark destroyed Jay to the point he connects the froggy bow, but Jay scapes, this Mark control segment went for few more minutes until Jay took him out of the ring with one his back suplex variations, those suplex eventually came but the best part of White's perfomance was is systematic limb-work, quickly transitioning from a Blade runner atempt to a DDT, then the leg work on both knees, on the long run he has the adventage. Mark's perfomance also told a great story, he avoids and came back from certain spots, he couldn't just let Jay punishing him for a long time as well showing his will, nice for his underdog situation in the tournament that went well with the crowd on his favor. Sadly for him, Jay eventually ended his chances as a spoiler with brutal sleppler hold suplex, but not without giving White a taste of his own medicine with a great back suplex of his own. ***"

[7.0] "Good match. People are comparing Mark to Tomohiro Ishii in the G1 Tournaments, and they are right: he is the guy that didn't win a lot, but always leaves his 100% in the ring, and put a good show. White was my first pick to win his block, but I have my doubts now. (***1/2)."

[6.0] "Not as good as their match last month but this one had a lack of stakes and drama due to Mark being unfortunately booked as the loser of the league. The way he has been booked throughout 2023 has been among the biggest disappointments of the year. 5.5-6"

[7.0] "Mark Briscoe brought a ton of energy to this from the get-go as he started this off guns blazing. Jay White was able to survive this, and he ended up slowing things down after this. Briscoes comeback was equally as great, as the way he opened this match, but in the end Jay White was finally able to hit a blade runner to win.***1/2"

[7.0] "There hasn't been a single moment in any of Mark Briscoe's C2 matches where I wasn't glued to the match. Combined with the fact that we sort of knew Briscoe wasn't likely to win many matches, that's a testament to the way Mark Briscoe can connect with the audience in the ring. Jay White did a good job here with his heel tactics and match pacing too. The in-match story of "Briscoe can't dodge/counter the Blade Runner forever" was used effectively here."

I do think was the time for Mark Briscoe to finally get a victory in this damn tournament, but I'm sure they're saving that for his match with Jay Lethal who also has no points. And that will not feel like a big deal when it happens."

The kind of match you would probably forget about it within hours of watching it. All the winless guys make every match they're in somewhat interesting, though."
