[7.0] "This was good. Dragon Lee is very athletic and fun to watch while Dominik Mysterio was showing his best and I appreciated his efforts in this match. Overall, both of them made a good work to create a banger of a match."
[6.0] "(Grade:C-) Thought this was fine match with some nice moments sprinkle throughout it, started out hot with that dive from Lee then it Dominik immediately cut that off and took it at a slow pace. Dominik hit a gnarly DDT on the apron that Lee almost just landing head first on the floor. Say what you will about Dom but he knows how to get the crowd to hate him just from his presence alone! The finish caught me off guard kinda ended on a flat note yet still serviceable."
[6.0] "[3.0*] Good opener but considerably worse than their RAW encounter. They were speaking different languages sometimes and Dom did two botches. Dragon was superb as always and the match was still fun."
[8.0] "It's bit of a cry from their Raw match but it's still a really good match and opener to the show and it's nice to see Dragon Lee win gold that early in his WWE career."
[6.0] "Quite a lackluster ending for such a good title Rain that Dominic had. During Rain, Don Dom proved that he was capable of not only infuriating the crowd with his promos, but also putting on really high-quality matches with enviable regularity. But Dragon Lee... I don't know, guys... I don't share the hype for this guy. I don't see him as the "next big Mexican star". Yes, he can show good matches in the ouch libre style, but now. There are many such guys on the roster: Santos, Andrade, Los Lotarias and others. Only these guys have personality, unlike the Dragon, which so far just looks like a plug in every barrel. The company tried to compensate for the plot component of the fight at the commentary table of Dominic's father, with whom he is feuding. This somehow added some emotion to the match. ***"
[7.0] "This was inferior to their rad madness in Raw but a superior battle to the first installment from NXT. Both men's incredible chemistry as rivals led to their names becoming the best for the future. The certainty of a new champion was thin since the storyline arc was left out with Wes Lee. However, the thrilling action articulated by these mavericks intensified that benefit of the doubt, and I'm glad that Dragon had this chance to hone his skillset even better. 3.5 out of 5 stars!"
[5.0] "[3.0*] Good fight to open the show, it wasn't better than the first meeting between them but Dragon Lee once again stands out completely in the fight, shows his evolution, and makes it clear that he is one of the best Wrestlers in WWE today."
[7.0] "One of Dom's best singles effort. He really stepped up here, if course, he was far from being great and there are still so many improvements that can be made on his execution, but still he portrayed his character well and he managed to hold his own against a talent of Dragon Lee's level. Lee is an up and coming star, he is young and very talented, so its such a great thing to have him showcase his ability like this. Good match. ***1/2"
[5.0] "I like Dom Mysterio. He has an innate ability to generate heat from the crowd and that type of old school heat is quite rare these days. Everyone genuinely wants him to get his comeuppance and that is when wrestling is at its best. Unfortunately, the guy just cannot go in the ring. This was naff."
[7.0] "Theyve had much better matches before. Felt a little too short and kinda squashy tbh. Not a lot of offense from Dom. But theyre both so talented that an okay match for them is still pretty good."
[8.0] "I really enjoyed this match I thought this was one of dominik better title matches and I thought judgement day not being there help this match I really enjoyed this match and dragon lee winning was a really good surprise I look forward to seeing where things go next. ****1/4"
[7.0] "This wasn't as good as their previous two title matches this year, in my opinion, but it was still fairly entertaining. I'm incredibly happy to see Dragon get the win here as well. I think Dominik has been an entertaining character since his heel turn, but it's also well-documented that I haven't always been the biggest fan of his in-ring work. As for Dragon, he's been putting on some good matches since debuting in WWE earlier this year. While I do wish the North American Title was held by someone actually on the NXT Roster, I'm definitely happy with a talent like Dragon holding the title. Let's just hope that this doesn't end up the same way as Trick Williams's title reign. Also I just wanted to say that it kinda sucks that Wes Lee probably would have won the title from Dominik had he not gotten injured."
[7.0] "The NXT North American Championship was pretty good. To me, it was one of the best matches Dom Mysterio had in a while. Dragon Lee was great, as always. Having Rey Mysterio on commentary added some intrigue to the match. I feel sorry for Wes Lee for getting injured and missing this title match..."
[7.0] "Weird pacing on this. Started really strong, with a fast performance from Dragon Lee dominating early, tossing Dom around the ring like hes nothing, but slowed down after that. Enjoyed the storytelling from Doms part too, his father being on the commentary desk allowed for some great character work from Dom. If this was more evenly paced itd be top tier."
[6.0] "The work in the ring ina vacum might get a 7 but the coumntry is very very bad in this match and made me want to turn soud of for this match. Very exited to see what dragon lee dose with the belt. Love him using natios moves to refrnce his time in LIJ."
[6.0] "This was satisfactory nothing more though. Dragon Lee is hot early and hits a cool suicide dive. Dom hits a sloppy tornado DDT on the apron. It slowed down after this point. Dom hit a three amigos and did a sloppy power bomb counter. Dragon Lee picks up the win which is cool even though it's sad that this was Wes Lee's spot."
[6.0] "This was a minor disappointment for me but still good. Seeing Dom become such a good wrestler has been fun over the past year. The ending was weird in that Lee hit his finisher but it didn't seem like anyone actually thought he'd get the win off it."
[8.0] "A good match wasnt better than their Raw Match a few months back but it wasn't bad at all. The Agents gotta stop Having Dragon Lee do all his big moves at the start of the match Doe because all his matches are starting to feel the same, but Solid Match. ***.5"
[7.0] "Good match for the NXT North American Title. This was something of a last minute replacement as Wes Lee was originally going to be Dominik Mysterio's opponent, but a significant back injury prevented that from happening. Dragon Lee makes sense because of his connection to Rey and he's had run-ins with Dom before. Rey was on commentary, which was a nice touch. This was a clash of styles as Dragon Lee showed off his flashy lucha offense while Dom would slow things down, probably a bit too much at times. There were some moments where they weren't quite in sync and it looked awkward. Aside from that, this was enjoyable. Dragon Lee won and the title change is the right move as he needed something to elevate him, plus it doesn't hurt Dom to lose here. 7/10"
"[6.5] It really is hard to follow a "surprise" CM Punk appearance, but Dominik Mysterio & Dragon Lee gave it a solid attempt. I think the match was good and had a couple noteworthy spots but not much that had me jumping up and down. Dragon Lee winning the North American Championship was actually a surprise to me as I didn't expect him to win at all so I was not looking when he made the pin."
[7.0] "Dominik really impressed me with his great performance in this match. Lee was also good and although I'm a fan of Dominik, but this was the right decision because Lee, really deserved this spot after proving himself in the weekly shows. unfortunately, match wasn't long enough for them to entertain us more, but it was still impressive for a 10 minute match. (***3/4)"
[6.0] "I do not even know where to start. The match itself was not bad, but in my opinion it was inferior to their match from Raw. The pace was chosen unhurriedly, and the content was generally classic for these guys. But the match was given enough time to unfold, and it did. Its a pity that they have almost nothing to reveal, since there was no plot. Dragon Lee was a replacement, so it's hard to blame anyone for that. I think it would have been much more emotional with Wes. Now let's move on to the result that caused me indignation. Dragon Lee is the new North American champion. For what? You put the guy purely as a replacement. I understand that if it were Wes Lee, he would have won, but its not Wes Lee in the match. You've already moved the luchador to the mainstay where he gets time and development, so why bring him back and give up the title? They would have left the title with Dominic and paved the way for the next challenger. I just don't understand the point of such a rush. There is only one explanation in my head: Balor and Priest will soon lose the tag team titles, and we will get an almost complete detonation of The Judgment Day, followed by a partial collapse. I have no other explanation. Nevertheless, I congratulate Dragon, since this is his first achievement within the company, and he got there quite quickly, since he only debuted in April, I remind you."
[7.0] "This was a really good match. Rey Mysterio was on commentary and Both mens athletic talent was on display. I was genuinely shocked when Dragon Lee won and it made for a nice moment."
[7.0] "This was a good match and if Im being honest I was shocked at the outcome. Im glad they are trying to show dom doesnt always need Judgement day. It helps build him for the future. Really looking forward to what there moving towards next in the North American division."
[9.0] "Yeah these two rarely ever disappoint in the ring, and they weren't going to shit the bed here as well, though I would have preferred them getting much time to develop their stories further, but for the time that was given they wrapped it up quite nicely, Lee deserves the opportunity while Mysterio can work on better things from here."
[7.0] "This was a good match although I felt their last match together on Raw was a stronger overall match than this. That being said, Dragon Lee has shown to be Dominicks best opponent. Im for Dragon Lee as NA champion especially if he gets to have a run after losing a lot for what feels like most of 2023. Dominicks NXT run presumably may be at an end and hard to not call it a success overall in spite of the flip flopping of the title with Trick. Good feel good moment to kick off the show especially with Rey after the match. I did feel the finish could have been a bit stronger."
[8.0] "A pretty solid match with Dragon Lee showing why he is one of the best luchadors in the whole world like he has done over the past 5 years at least. And Dominik showing how much he has improved during his time with the Judgement Day specially this year. Dom has been a workhorse thos year and people have to give him credit for that. The mesh the Lucha style with the Wrestling style and gave us a great opener. The touch of having Rey on commentary made it a bit more special for Dragon Lee and it keeps making his character even stronger by Rey putting him over on commentary and after the match."
[8.0] "Well time to get to this match now, this was actually brilliant. Dominik has came A long way as A wrestler, but also he's obviously nowhere near my favorite. Meanwhile Dragon Lee, is one of the best pro wrestlers in the world and I mean that. This match was not as good as the RAW match but this still was very brilliant. Its refreshing to see Dom have A match without the judgment day getting involved at all, and him losing clean to Dragon Lee did A lot for Dragon Lee. Rey on commentary was also fun."
[8.0] "I heavily enjoyed this match , Dragon and Dominik had good spots and nice athleticism at display , Rey was also enjoyable on commentary , so now we know the original plan was for Wes to win the match , but because of his injury the had to change it to Dragon. That sucks for Wes I was looking forward , to another title reign from him , as his first run was really good , but Dragon was a decent replacement for him. I would of liked to see Rey vs Dom again though . Dom and Dragon also have really good chemistry, Dom has improved a lot in the ring. Congratulations Dragon , and can't wait to see the matches he puts on with the title."
