[5.0] "Another disappointing match between those two, this felt like a prolonged squash, not good at all. Very short match with an abrupt finish and no psychology - {**1/4}"
[7.0] "This match and their survivor series match is interchangable both were basically the same match just at different events , Dominik interfering was fine because it furthered the feud with Dragon. This was a nice fast paced match , and I basically have the same thoughts on this as I did on survivor series."
[6.0] "This was basically a copy and paste of their match at Survivor Series but with a (somehow) more anticlimactic finish. Dominik at ringside was kind of annoying if Im being honest because he would constantly distract Lee and cost him the match."
[6.0] "I was finding the match to be slightly better than the Survivor Series one, but it all suddenly ended with that anticlimatic and absurd finish that made Dragon Lee look bad just a day before defeating Dom for the North American Title. Is it really that bad letting these two having a mind blowing lucha libre style match? Do somebody in creative think people want to see two luchadores wrestle a dull match? Looks like people in backstage don't have a clue about Lucha Libre at all. At least it had a bit of dynamism at times, but the booking was bad (***)"
[6.0] "It is the same fight of last week that with this importance that has to be part of the United States Championship tournament because the truth that could have been better, but it has not been so, because it has been good, but not enough to surpass what was seen last week."
[6.0] "Escobar & Dragon Lee are both highly talented WWE Superstars, but their match was too short for the second time (including their bout on Survivor Series: WarGames). If WWE wishes to work this feud until Rey Mysterio can return from his injury, they must get more in-ring time for their matches."
[6.0] "Wish it had more time but still a solid match. Enjoyed these two having a good traditional lucha libre match. Mysterio being out there did nothing for the match. Another basically clean win for Escobar over Lee"
[6.0] "A step below their match at Survivor Series, unfortunately. They managed to get more time here, but only by a minute. I really want these two to get a 15-20 minute match where they can really let loose, because I feel as though they have all the potential in the world to tear the house down."
[5.0] "The match between Escobar and Lee could have been better, I felt that it was even worse then their last Survivor Series encounter. The lucha libre action was still enjoyable, but the ending was underwhelming with Dominick's involvement seemingly pointless. While the match had its moments, it failed to reach its full potential due to pacing and storyline issues. Overall, the match was pretty forgetable."
[5.0] "Could have been better. Until WWE I dont believe these two have wrestled given Escobar/Fantasma leaving CMLL before Dragon Lee debuted and leaving AAA before Lee went to AAA. Nothing special for this match."
"Really just a worse version of their match from Survivor Sires. The ending was very anti climatic. Dominick coming out really had no point. However, the lucha libre action was still fun, but as a whole this match could have been better. ***.75"
[5.0] "The match received a little more time than on PLE, but, in my opinion, it did not become better. In my opinion, it turned out even worse. The TV format has an effect here, because some part of the match was eaten up by advertising, and from what we saw there was nothing interesting. It was as if the guys didnt have a goal to show a really great fight, so they simply duplicated what they had already shown. And as we know, sequels rarely respond better than the originals, especially if the original wasnt very good."
