[8.0] "It's incredible that this match has so few votes on this site, the match is truly beautiful and one of the last great matches of Vader's career, who was in his waning phase but was still capable of offering this type of performance in 2000. Kobashi and Akiyama fight like lions but ultimately succumb to the monstrous (and fantastic) tag team of Vader and Williams. 4.25 stars."
[9.0] "This was an excellent match. I was a big fan of Vader's tag team with Bam Bam Bigelow years earlier and what I've seen of him teaming with Stan Hansen was great too. Vader and Dr Death Steve Williams teaming up was cool, and while they didn't quite have the chemistry of Vader's previous partners, individually they took the fight to Jun Akiyama and Kenta Kobashi. This started out technical, but as the match went on it became a fight, with Akiyama and Kobashi giving Vader and Williams everything they had, but it wasn't enough. Vader and William's would end up winning the tag team champions and as Vader was already the Triple Crown Champion, this victory made him a double champion. ****1/2"

The only fighting chance they really had was going after Vader's apparently bad left knee, but that only got them so far, as Vader is a human grizzly bear & Dr. Death is so legendary for his toughness. As hard as they fought, the might of Vader & Dr. Death was just too much to overcome in the end."
[8.0] "Cool match. The beginning was pretty consistent and I was afraid to see something like Kobashi-Williams from this year, something uninteresting, but by the end the wrestlers had a great momentum, Vader acted great, I like his interactions with Akiyama and Kobashi, and Steve seemed not very interesting to be honest, although he did his part satisfactorily. The ending came out rather unexpected and it pleased me. ****1/4"
[9.0] "It took me a while to track this complete match down, but it was worth it. Now, I LOVED the WSTDL final match that three of these men were involved in in 1998, so my expectations were high, but I wasn't expecting this to measure up to that match that because, first of all, Vader's decline was more apparent in early 2000 than in late 1998. But also, I'm not a big fan of what Williams had turned into at the end of his previous AJPW tenure, and I thought I'd be getting flashbacks to the Oct. 1997 Triple Crown match. But I needn't have worried, because Dr. Death is great here. This match goes a long way towards building up Kobashi before his match next week with Vader, but it also presents Akiyama as a strong contender, indirectly building toward his coming match with Misawa as well. We build to a fantastic, stiff end. ****1/4, and I might bump it up down the line. This may well be the last great AJPW tag of the King's Road era, and it's the best thing Williams had done in the company since '96. Also, were it not for the '98 WSTDL final having the Budokan crowd, this would likely be my favorite Vader match of the AJPW era as well."
