[10.0] "i loved this match so much, I really thought Jey had it for a while but he didn't. I was so pissed at the end. One of my favorite triple H era monday night raw matches #smark"
[8.0] "[4.0*] Awesome match. I will say that the slow paced beginning was pretty bad because Seth is really not good in control segments, the crowd even chanted CM Punk to Seth a couple of times, but after the commercial break things escalated and we go a typical WWE Epic ending with insane nearfalls until the ending. I liked the opener more but the ending stretch of this one was top notch."
[7.0] "This was a pretty good main event. I didnt like the slow pace at the start as it seemed both men were struggling to take control. The match then sped up and got better, as both men are very explosive and went back and forth with great, high intensity moves. Seth was able to retain."
[8.0] "Jey Uso vs Seth Rollins was a great match with high intensity spots and great moments during the match. Seth Rollins , I will say felt too much like a Superman in this match , the way he no sold his back when Jey literally applied all the damage to him, only time he really sold it was on the outside. The fact that Jey hit a spear and a Uso splash , and that still wasn't enough to beat Rollins also feels like Rollins is invincible , which is not good if we're still doing the story with his back. The spear counter into the pedigree was good , and that's good to see Rollins do again. Good match , not too many complaints here other than Rollins not selling his back."
[7.0] "[4.0*] The match was very interesting with a good performance from both. I liked the final stretch of this match with a superplex and falcon arrow sequence from Rollins followed by a Pedigree. The match had an electrifying exchange of finishers at the end, when Jey did the Superkick + Spear + Samoan Drop sequence that he was going to beat but Rollins kickout."
[6.0] "In a vacuum this match had good structure and in-ring action (last few minutes of near-falls were the highlight), but neither wrestler succeeded an winning me over and making me get invested in stakes involvement. Uso can work a main event style (no pun intended), but if he would've won here it would look pretty bizarre, and when he lost, he came across as a 'challenger of the month'-level wrestler."
[6.0] "To be fair this picked up towards the end and there were points where it actually looked like Jay Uso could steal a win over Drew. This had bagged a 7 from me until right at the end where Jays spear into Seths pedigree looked as weak and fake as anything."
[5.0] "This wasn't bad but I couldn't really find any point of investment. Neither guy really has a character to compel me these days, especially Rollins, and while they did pull off some nice moves it didn't feel like anything memorable, just an exchange of signature moves without much doubt towards the ending."
[7.0] "Not bad for a TV Main Event, but excessively formulaic. The match was built as a simple arsenal exhibition by both men in a progressive way. Starting with their lightest moves, continuing with some light signature moves, a few Suicide Dives, then bigger signature moves, Jey Uso delivering his "finishers" to a nearfall while Rollins doing the same with the Pedigree (by the way, the worst Pedigree counter to a Spear Rollins has ever done. It looked awful) to finally connecting the Curbstomp for the 3 count. Very little drama, should've worked better that aspect, but a solid performance with a good pace that kept the crowd invested in the match. World Title matches should get a higher standard and a more worked booking. The performance by both men saves the lazy booking it had, and the fact it ended clean and Drew McIntyre interfered after the match (*** 1/2)"
[8.0] "Yet another good title defense by Rollins but it could ave been even better if you think about it: the ending sucked. Just after two Spears and an Uso Splash and have kicked out 'em all the champ just curb stomped Jay from out of nowhere and that was the end of the match. Good encounter overall, I personally preferred Sami/Drew. ****"
[6.0] "This match was decent. Nothing special. I do feel like Jey Uso looked fairly strong here and like he could actually win, even though going in we all knew he probably wouldn't (im sorry guys I just didnt Bolieve in him), he still made it feel like "Holy shit, is he about to do it? " But Seth just kept kicking out of big move after big move. Seth looked pretty good here too, but not as good as Main Event Jey Uso. YEET! Haha guys sorry I just fucking love Yeeting. I thought having Jey lose to Seth like this after giving it all hes got would possibly hurt his momentum, but that doesn't seem to be the case."
[6.0] "They completely lost me on the kickout after the second uso splash. The WWE style is so repetitive and predicable, it's like in their mind the only way to have a great match is to kick out of finishing moves. Plus it made Jey look quite weak because he can't pin Seth after 2 spears and 2 uso splash but Seth pins him with only one stomp"
[6.0] "These two had a nice little solid back and forth world title match. I didnt like this as much as others, but I still thought it was a good enough TV main event. Seth puts absolutely zero effort into selling his back when he starts going for dives and stuff lmao. Jey Uso brought a ton of energy to this match, and I thought he had some very convincing near falls toward the end of this.***"
[8.0] "A worthy Main Event with a fight that I think we didn't expect, it was good and entertaining, a bit long but completely normal being the last of the night, but there was a good denouement that although it was predictable I think it worked well for the construction of Drew's new character. It looks like they're going to do great things, but there's still some things to be polished up, good wrestling nonetheless."
[7.0] "Great WWE main event. Had me legitimately thinking Jey could win, even though I knew that wasn't the case. Loses some luster when you realize how little effort Seth puts into selling the supposedly injured back when commentary continues to bring it up as an angle. Jey isn't the most interesting to watch in the ring but here he was excellent and had some chemistry with Rollins. The finisher spam at the end was ridiculous. I'm not sure I like Super Seth, he's almost unbelievably strong in every title defense."
[7.0] "This was a fun Raw main event. Both men hit all of their moves and it was all put together well. Jey was in control most of the match and had some really good near fall. Jey had left an opening for Seth to hit a Stomp to win."
[5.0] "This match was just moves on moves with 0 psychology i really don't even have anything to say about it is very forgettable and just average all around its just a regular Seth Rollins title defense nothing too offensive and nothing memorable **3/4 for me"
[8.0] "It was straight up the main event. Despite the complete lack of intrigue, the guys were able to demonstrate an excellent level of wrestling. It seemed to me that they somehow took a long time to harness, but in the end it still turned out extremely nice. In the end, nirfola began to pour out as if from a cornucopia. The guys definitely have chemistry, which they showed us. Uso looked really good as an underdog, and Rollins was just doing his job. And we must pay tribute to the champion, who still continues to present absolutely every contender in the best light."
[8.0] "Jey's best singles performance I have seen yet and Top 3 best WWE TV matches of 2023. Rollins and Jey cooked here. They were given a lot of time, they didn't waste it. A small feeling out process at the start, the action got more intense as the match went on, neither men had the clear momentum advantage, it was back and forth, both men pulling out all the stops and more, Jey got clever with his offense, he was matching Seth, in fact even outdoing the cerebral Rollins. There was tons of action packed here, the ending was great, both men hitting their entire arsenal of offense, lots of thrilling nearfalls, it was a Highly competitive and thrilling finishing stretch. This surpassed expectations, and it was surprising that they pulled this off on TV and not a ppv. Even among Seth's defenses of 2023, I like this the most. ****1/4"
[5.0] "this match felt like a plastic World Championship main event! we all knew what the result would be but here is a thing: did Seth just kicked out from Jey's finisher twice? and then stomped Jey once and win? are you serious? was it 2007 John Cena in Rollins dress? Rollins is a great wrestler himself, but this character and this booking just made him a very silly, and boring champion with pretty average matches. Jey Uso wanted to dedicate the match to his uncle Umaga, and he just lost after a stomp? sorry, but 5 points is the highest point that I can give to this. WWE should understand, that in order to make a great and exciting match, you don't have to just use finishers and then kick out at 2.99! there are tons of interesting wrestling moves you can use, to make it better! (**3/4)"
[6.0] "This was better than I expected it to be, mainly due to the hot crowd buying heavily into the false finishes. Both guys tend to move slow & work light, and Rollins was a complete non-entity here aside from delivering his signature offence along the home stretch ***1/4"
[8.0] "If they had grown a pair and had Jey win after the spear/splash combo, I would go higher. As it stands, a very fun but simple main event with a solid final stretch undermined by the classic "Seth forgets his back injury and hits 8 finishers to win" finish."
[7.0] "Weird one for me in that the climax to the match definitely got the crowd going and had some intrigue, but throughout the match I just struggled to get engaged. Rollins runs the ropes at almost half speed these days, really feels like his heart isn't fully in it. The pedigree counter at the end also wasn't particularly crisp. Jey is just extremely mid to me, don't know why he's so over. It was a good match, just not great to me. ***3/4"
[5.0] "Seth Rollins can't sell. He has no ability to lay his shit in.. None of his offense feels believable and impactful. He works like a slowmo bad imitation of a faux-NJPW epic. This match is no exception. Jey Uso needs a great worker to carry him to a good match like Danielson did beforehand. Seth is not that guy. Typical big match WWE formula of kickout fests at the end to pop the crowd too. This is just not good. It's unbelievable that anyone can think this is good. This is a stark contrast to the Collision main event last week in terms of a match made to make you feel emotions and not just pop at moves and counters. The difference between masters of the craft and the current generation."
[9.0] "It started with a decent build-up from the video package for Jey leading up to the backstage encounter. As for the in-ring performance, both Seth & Jey put on a show. The match was quite a thriller with plenty of action, drama, and near-falls, making it feel even more exciting. I might be exaggerating, but this match was one of the best I've seen in a while. It was a definite PLE main event caliber match."
[6.0] "This actually disappointed me. It was over for sure, and both guys worked hard, I just didn't like the structure. This was as standard a championship match as you could have, with bits of flourish on Seth's offense that I didn't really like (the springboard senton to lionsault looked meh). Jey looked good here and his setups for each of his nearfalls were really well-paced, but that final act with them is my issue; this felt so much like the kinds of matches Cena used to have in his prime as champion, where it was solid but uninspired back & forth with too many kickouts from the champ and a clean finish that makes the challenger look worse than they did going in. On top of that, that Pedigree reversal of Jey's spear looked awful. Fundamentally sound but mostly forgettable with a last 5 minutes that left a bad taste. ***"
[9.0] "I was sure this would be good, but I didn't think it would be THIS good. Jey put on a hell of a performance here that really solidified himself as a main event talent if his feud with Roman Reigns didn't already. I'm looking forward to him facing Drew McIntyre again, presuming he will after what happened after the match. As for Seth, he did great as well. This was just good stuff all around and I'm glad they had Drew attack Jey after the match instead of interfering while the match was still taking place."
[8.0] "Really good main event for the WHC. A babyface vs babyface title match is an odd choice, but with how over both guys are they made it work as this was a very even back and forth. The crowd was split for who they wanted to win and were into this from start to finish. Very good action between two top stars, can't ask for much more than that. The only negative thing about the match was Rollins selling his bad back for a minute or two, then promptly forgetting about it the rest of the way. There were plenty of near falls that had the crowd going. Jey went for another spear, but it was countered into a Pedigree followed by a stomp for Rollins to retain the title. 8.5/10"
[8.0] "Jey Uso looked strong early on in this match. The match was exactly what you want in a TV main event with good back and forth wrestling. The crowd got into the match behind Jey. The outcome of this match was obvious before it began."
"Good main event of an actually pretty good and easy watchable Raw. Seth Rollins continue to be WWE MVP's as of in ring matches this year and Jey Uso continues to prove that one day he can actually wins a big one. Was expecting Jimmy to come out to screw him over but i'm glad they didn't do that as it would have been deja vu from the tag title matche Jey and Cody had few weeks ago."
[5.0] "Lots of back and forth that started strong, but really dragged in the middle. Didn't make much of an impression beyond that. It was way too obvious that Seth would retain."
[10.0] "Perfect Main event. Great in ring action, two amazing near falls for Jey, had me thinking he might win for a second, Jey using the spear was quite cool and Seth countering it in to a pedigree was great to see as well. Good to see the match get time as well, which allowed them to put on a great match."
[6.0] "Jey Uso was fiery and intense and likeable. He's really won me over as a babyface. Seth however has been the opposite as champion and his portrayal of someone who is Super Cena levels of invincible while wanting to convince everyone he is the ultimate worker on the roster at the same time just creates an unlikeable and un-relatable ring presence."
[8.0] "Exciting match with lots of back and forth making it believable that either man would win, and with a clean finish. The finishers were a little excessive though."
[10.0] "What an incredible match! It felt like a pay-per-view main event, a real treat to see on TV. Even though the Drew/Sami match earlier was also given ample time, this one stood out. The match was filled with fantastic nearfalls, counters, and thrilling moments. Every time it seemed like it was winding down, they kept delivering more big moves and nearfalls, elevating the excitement even further. If you haven't recognized Jey Uso as a main event talent, you're missing outhe was outstanding. Rollins, too, continues his streak of amazing matches for the title, just as he has with McIntyre, Zayn, Nakamura, and others recently. The fans were fully invested, and the length and quality of the match only heightened their enthusiasm. Rollins consistently delivering such standout matches is what has made the World Title significant in the last six months. It was great to see them given the time to shine."
