[9.0] "This was fantastic. I loved that this match genuinely felt like a really big match, and both of them threw everything they had at each other. It really broke down at the end, and they threw some seriously hard shots are each other. It's hard to believe Himawari in particular is a rookie, because she really gets pro wrestling. Her selling, power and intensity (which were very much in contrast to her bubbly personality before the match) really make her unique. Great stuff"

This wasn't great by any means but these two have some talent particularly Uehara who could be a star if TJPW learned how to book emerging talent. HIMAWARI did well here too and they showed how young talent should work just do what you can do and do it well."

[8.0] "The two standouts of the 2023 rookie class stepped up and delivered a match much better than one would expect from wrestlers of their experience level, further elevated by a hot crowd. They were set up to be rivals from early on in their careers, both of them getting submission victories over each other within a short timespan and establishing them as equals. This was well put together and felt like it could've gone either way right up until the very end, neither wrestler being able to keep the upper hand for long and both desperately trying to lock in their submission finishers to win as they had before. Wakana learned from her previous defeat to HIMAWARI by trapping her arm during the sleeper hold, preventing her from escaping like she did back then and securing victory."

Wakana has such natural charisma and Himawari's crowdwork and expressiveness are amazing. This feels like the beginning of a fantastic rivalry for years to come."

While some parts of the action were understandably a bit sloppy, they more than made up for it with their energy and involvement. The match was well paced and constructed, with the Wakana having the edge in power and Wakana using her technique and a wider range of moves to keep up. Great selling from both and they did a fantastic jod in involving the crowd, the submission parts were really well done. Wakana eventually gets the win with the sleeper hold, a great decision sher is the most well-rounded of this year great rookiee class."

The in-ring was pretty regular, but HIMAWARI's bits were over and Wakana seems like she's got something in her to be a star, so it's no surprise that she won."
