This was all action with weapons galore, including the use of thumbtacks and a sleeve covered in thumbtacks used by Rocky Romero for the Forever Clothesline. Trent Beretta earned some respect, first by taking a bump on the tacks chest first, then by taking a superkick while having tacks in his mouth. This match stole the show. ****1/4 |

Nick Jackson war für mich der MVP dieses Matches mit seinen athletischen Manövern, die teilweise nicht von dieser Welt waren, der Thumbtack Spot war jedoch für mich das Highlight. Ansonsten war es ein Ladder Match mit den bekannten Stärken und Schwächen, die diese Matchart nunmal mit sich bringt. Teilweise etwas zu viel Leere zwischen den Spots und hin und wieder etwas zu überfüllt. Das Finish war im Vergleich zum Match auch etwas unspektakulär. Trotzdem war das alles in allem eines der besseren ROH Matches in diesem Jahr und ein sehr gutes Ladder-Match. **** |

Jeder der 6 Beteiligten leistet seinen Anteil, jeder darf mal austeilen und jeder steckt heftige Bumps ein. Der Elbow Protector aus Thumbtacks von Rocky Romero, die Swanton Bomb von Nick Jackson nach draußen und natürlich nicht zu vergessen der 5* Meltzer Driver auf die Thumbtacks. Finish mit Swanton Bomb von der Leiter durch den Tisch ist ebenfalls ein Highlight. In beinahe 20 Minuten unterhält dieses Match durch wundervolles Pacing, Spots, Brutalität und auch ein wenig Storytelling und ist meiner Meinung nach starkes MOTN (****1/4) |

Originally this match was supposed to be the Bucks vs RPGVice for the ROH tag belts, but with the big announcement of the Hardys leaving TNA and joining ROH, this match went up a notch to make it a three way. The storytelling in this match was basically the Hardys and the Bucks facing off and RPGV being the third wheel of the match, but Rocky and Trent weren't gonna take that so they quickly broke up the other teams by introducing weapons. There were some awesome spots and sequences in this match; my personal favorites being the Nick Jackson top rope senton onto a bunch of dudes, and Rocky using a sleeve of tacks to clothesline the other teams. Poor Trent on the other hand was pretty much a literal pin cushion in this match as he took a flop onto tacks, got superkicked with tacks in his mouth, got powerbombed onto the ramp, and finally was placed on a table to have Jeff Hardy finish the match with a swanton off a ladder onto him. Fun match and another highlight for each team, ****1/4. |

They are milking that Supercard of Honor match hard, and this match was a great way to do it. This was the story of Matt & Jeff vs Matt & Nick teeing off and trying to settle their differences, while RPG Vice, totally disconnected from the story, kept breaking it up in an attempt to win the tag titles, the only thing on the line for them. As such, the more veteran brother teams kept pushing them away and going back to their business, but eventually it got to the point where they needed to get them out of the way. And so, Rocky got fucked up, and Trent DIED. Holy shit Trent took like 5 insane bumps in the space of 10 minutes in this match, with 3 of them being within a couple minutes. The Bucks just murdered him with big moves on tacks shortly after he fell back first onto a ladder. Then the finish was Jeff swantoning Trent through a table off a huge ladder. This match did a great job of building to Orlando, but outside of The Passion of Roppongi, the action wasn't all that exciting. ***3/4 |
