Jack Gallagher vs. Neville

[8.0] "[4.0*] The Gentleman was really good -- it's just a shame he wasn't such a gentleman in real life... The match being built on Neville's genuine hatred for Jack, for being somewhat of a caricatured and heavily stereotyped version of an Englishman, made it compelling. Neville didn't just want to win -- he wanted to send Jack out of WWE entirely, and that intensity was powerful. Watching Jack slowly work his way into the match, winning over both the crowd and getting into the champion's head, was surprising. The match was so evenly contested that, at one point, it genuinely felt like the challenger might win -- and that led to Neville using the Black Arrow (Old Red Arrow) for the first time since his heel turn."

[7.0] "Neville was putting in some damn good work in the cruiserweight division before he left the company. They did a terrible job presenting the cruiserweights, and I wasn't much of a fan of Jack Gallagher's gimmick, it definitely did not have the legs to be champion of what they were trying to establish as a 4th brand, and this match was pretty much a foregone conclusion, but that didn't stop the match from being fun."

[7.0] "A real hidden gem here, very stiff with some back and forth and intensity and some good chemistry shown between the two."

[9.0] "It's an amazing match with some tense action and storytelling and both men were fantastic in this match."

[7.0] "Good match between Neville and Gallagher which clearly saved this PPV at this point and was the the tree that hides the forest on this mediocre event, being the only good match on this card with Reigns vs Strowman which was also excellent. I was expecting something qualitative between these two very good performers, I've been hearing good things about this title match for four years now and I finally took the time to watch it. I have to say that while I didn't think it was particularly fantastic, it was a solid Cruiserweight match as it always was on PPVs with the right workers at that time. They were lucky to get a spot on the main card and I feel like saying that was a smart move by the company considering how bad the rest of the show was, the two worked well together and the crowd was completely invested. Fun stuff between two totally opposite characters."

[8.0] "This was the first cruiserweight match on a PPV that I think did its job: Gave fast-paced variety to a card of methodical wrestling. Outperforming Samoa Joe vs. Sami Zayn on a card, this was great. ****"

[7.0] "It was a very good match. Some difficulties with some spots just added to the match. A little bit stiff, Neville is great as a heel and obviously for me is a great wrestler, Gallagher showed intensity as well. For me it was the best match of Fastlane 2017, but it stands out on its own as a good competitive match. Neville using Red Arrow to show Jack pushed him to his limit was a nice touch as well."

[8.0] "Easily my favorite match of the Fastlane event. Gallagher was just on his A game here and wrestled with such intensity and with a sense of urgency as well. Neville was really good in his role here and the some of the strikes that were executed here were just brutal especially Gallagher's headbutts. Crowd was well into this which was a shock. Well worth the watch IMO. (***1/2)"

[7.0] "This was the MoTN at Fastlane without a shadow of a doubt. Very good match, the crowd was into it and the layout was perfect. Gallagher lost but gained a lot here thanks to his performance, and Neville busting out the Red Arrow was really cool. Easily the best Cruiserweight match since the debut of the division in September. *** 1/2."

[8.0] "I really don't like Austin Aries chants in this match, crowd was not into totally in this match, but still a good match and one of MOTN (put this match and Strowman vs Reigns in same level), good workrate, Neville character work was awesome and Gallagher can be a good babyface, i rate this ***1/2"
