Like the best parts of this were Danger bleeding from the table and I guess the rope break from Spears. Everything else, just dreadful. I hope DPW never does matches like these ever again."

[9.0] "Chris Danger, this guy went from a YouTuber, WWE Gaming content creator, for the last decade and so on. He's put grind, energy, effort, work and passion into everything he has done, and somehow, someway, all that he has achieved, he's done, gets him to literally becoming a actual professional wrestler man, that's so crazy to me still lol. He had an amazing fight with Spears here, the spots and damage Chris took ina debut is insane. Never seen a table spot in wrestling history like what happened with Danger's arm getting cut open. Would love to see a rematch with them again and of course we can hopefully get Adam Cole vs Chris Danger still man. They would kick ass so good man."

He still has to work on some stuff, but it was a pretty solid debut for the Danger man. Danger was the clear underdog here while Spears toyed with him a good amount of the match, only to almost have it blow up in his face."

David vs Goliath type, Spears dominated for most of the match and came out on top, but Danger had his moments where it looked like he would win. The table spot was pretty nice, and even during the finish, I thought Danger would kick out of the 2 Pedigrees. I'm really interested in this promotion now, and I would love to see Danger wrestle more in the future if he ever gets the chance."

[7.0] "[***3/4] Danger starts off with a suicide dive, then gets hit with a Death Valley driver. He throws Danger out of the ring after almost pinning him for the 3 count and just beats him up. Crowd was behind Danger throughout the whole damn match. Shawn Spears does some funny crowd work but that waste of time gives Chris some offense before Shawn destroys him again with more and more chops. So far, Shawn has gotten about 95% of offensive maneuvers here. Chris breaks the count and Shawn shows visible disappointment whilst sitting on a chair. Shawn sets up a table on the turnbuckle, and Chris hits a middle rope panama sunrise, but the ref is knocked out. Chris hits Shawn with a spear through the table and the crowd ERUPTS! Shawn kicks out and we see Chri have a chunk of his forearm cut out from one of the spots, blood everywhere. Counters upon counters and Shawn is under the ropes after Danger's Taste of Danger. Danger goes for Sweet Chin Music, gets hit with a superkick, then another Death Valley driver, BUT KICKS OUT! Shawn kicks out of the roll-up and hits 2 Pedigrees for the win. A really fun match showing Chris as a HEAVY HEAVY under-dog and presented a very good David vs. Goliath scenario. But he was destroyed over 80% of the match, and the other 20 was the crowd erupting for Danger comebacks."

[7.0] "Wow Adam Cole looks an awful lot like Shawn Spears, jokes aside this was pretty fun. So Shawn was subbing for Adam (injury I presume? not really sure) and was basically schooling Chris Danger for most of the first half of the match. Danger did less stuff, but what he did looked fine, but he mostly just took Spear's beatings and was selling. The table spot was cool and gave Danger an opening, even if he seemed to get the worst of it, Jesus Christ... I've not seen someone get so busted up by a table since Hardcore Holly. Final parts of the match was Spears being pretty confused as no matter what he did, he couldn't put Danger away. Slight hope spot before it was all over. Definitely one of the best celebrity wrestling matches I've seen, Danger more than hanged with Shawn Spears, but probably could have shown more of what he could do. Hopefully he gets more matches to show that, but he was fine here and nice that Shawn Spears got the opportunity to do something as well."

[8.0] "This is a pretty textbook example of how to have a match with an inexperienced wrestler and an experienced wrestler. Spears did great here to get chris over and added a good bit of psychological elements to the match, chris even got some color! Definitely was an accident but he worked it perfectly, kuddos to chris for this match, and seriously theres no understating how good spears made chris look in this match"

[7.0] "Take out Chris Danger/Denker's background and take out Shawn Spears background, just from a pure match quality, and story-telling aspect, entertaining from start to finish, and if I was dropped from a spaceship and I knew nothing about these two guys... this was a highly enjoyable match. Solid back-and-forth action. Great selling and physical promo work. A few believable false-finishes. Crowd was into it the whole match. I'm sure since it was Danger's first ever professional match that it was highly scripted and worked out the pacing and spots of the match, but it didn't really seem like it, to be honest. I didn't see any noticeable times when Spears (who obviously was in charge) was audibly calling the match/shots/spots. That table spear was gruesome for Danger, but he solid the crap out of it and didn't break character or make it seem like he was really hurt/in pain (but I'm sure/know he definitely was). Also great stamina for Danger, too. To go right around 15 minutes in your first ever match, and not seem winded or lagging or fatigued or even nervous/unsure at all, was a big testament to Chris and training; big bravo for that. Overall, entertaining as hell."

[7.0] "From a fan of his content for a long time, Danger's transformation has reaped massive benefits since he stepped into DPW as an on-screen wrestling entity. He proved many aspects on short notice, such as his talking abilities as a manager, his natural switch between a face and a heel, and his level of foundational in-ring movements. Even though he secured a gnarly gash after the table spot, his drive towards wrestling is appreciable. Spears was a great first opponent, and he had an organic backstory as one of the trainers in Danger's path. It was a standard storyline that served effectively and ended in putting Danger in a solid place on the map. 3.25 out of 5 stars!"

It told a simple, clear story and was executed fairly well, besides the ugly spear by Danger through the table. Perfectly solid and a pretty impressive debut, but nothing special, objectively speaking."

[7.0] "As a long time fan of Chris danger, this match was very special to me, but, obviously, not quite perfect. Shawn Spears puts his prowess as a heel on full display, and Danger gets that nasty gash from the table. The whole story is just begging for you to cheer the "good guy" and boo the "bad guy", which is all that wrestling is at the end of the day."

[7.0] "I wasn't the biggest fan of his, but I did watch some videos. From sitting down and playing wrestling games to making his professional wrestling debut, it was incredible to see the transformation, and he deserves his props. Having Shawn Spears, the man who trained Danger, replace Adam Cole was probably the best decision to make. He tried unorthodox moves in his debut match, including a table spot that did lead to a nasty cut, but I think he did alright. Shawn Spears was more of the charismatic man in this match, being the heel toying against the audience to give Danger a sense of being the underdog. I think Danger has a good chance of being a fun addition to the independent circuit and already has that fan factor. It might have been slightly nicer to see a bit more offence for Danger, but this could lead to a potential storyline for the future where Danger improves and eventually gets a victory to settle the score."

He still has some work to do but overall really fun debut. The story was there and no too spotty which some Indy matches can get."

I'm not a Shawn Spears guy but I loved the story of him basically hazing his trainee here with disgusting chops. That spear through the table ended up cutting the hell out of Danger's arm and there was a crater of blood, it was gross."
