Some moments made me laugh and some moments were pretty good, but those moments couldn't save this match from still being awful. First off, after Hobbs body slammed Wight on the hood of a car, he vanished for the whole match, he never came back to the match, he just disappeared. Speaking of disappearing, Kota Ibushi would not return to AEW for 2 years after this, hell, he wasn't mentioned afterwards on if he was injured or taking a break, just left without a trace. Kenny Omega, Kyle Fletcher, Kota Ibushi, & Konosuke Takeshita deserved better than this garbage"

[8.0] "Probably the most fever dream match in AEW history. The Golden Lovers teaming with Jeri-Show, fighting Don Callis's goons in a street fight sponsored by the Yakuza games. Sanshiro Takagi and the entire DDT roster were probably creaming themselves the whole time, because Kenny, Ibushi and Takeshita couldn't have paid homage to them any better than this. You had Ibushi rampaging on a bicycle, you had plastic crates being used like they were made of titanium, you had Takeshita taking a devastating bump on the VIP lounge cushions etc. What's not to love? Kenny and Ibushi decided to die together by taking mirror bumps on the outside, through two tables and a menu board, respectively. Paul Wight was the sacrificial lamb to Hobbs, which was a good role for him. Jericho just kind of walked around and punched. Don's team did good as the bad guys. Ibushi looking like an NPC with broken pathing that couldn't find the way into the ring most of the match was funnier than it should've been. This is the most recent match he's had for AEW, and the last time the Golden Lovers have teamed, so I hope we get a reunion at some point so his run doesn't end on this. Even if it does though, this is a pretty fitting match for Ibushi to go out on. **** [OG: 19/11/23]"

There's nothing wrong about making matches like this on a weekly show, even if it is to promote some videogame or whatever. Every person on the match was great on their role, it had a lot of wide eyes moments and it was really very fun to watch. I had some laughs and crazy reactions and that is valid. A lot better than most of the things we see around - {***1/2}"

The use of random items like milk crates, pallets, a menu board, and a bicycle helps this match to stand out among other street fights. It's a silly tie-in match, and while I don't want these to be regular or for this stuff to seep into every match, I think every once in awhile these are a welcome change of pace. Definitely A LOT better than the last tie-in match and had some memorable spots. Ibushi's piledriver into the chairs, Kenny being suplexed into two tables, Paul Wight being... himself. I liked it for the pure spectacle, since this was very much something that wasn't meant to be taken too seriously in the first place."

"Ostensibly, this match was only booked for the sole reason of cashing in on a very brown-nosed and ill-fitting sponsorship deal with SEGA, with the added bonus of Kenny Omega and his pals getting to do goofy and hokey video game spots for absolutely no reason. What this match will be remembered for is Ibushis quaint little bike ride, undoubtedly, which perfectly encapsulates the match and AEW as a whole: a childish, phony disgrace to the wrestling business and the men who dedicated their lives to preserving the integrity of industry. Ibushi himself looked lost for most of the match, even in the double moonsault with Kenny, who it seems was nerding out for whatever video game this was promoting instead of trying to put together a reasonable wrestling match. Fletcher, Hobbs, and Takeshita were wasted in such a joke of a stipulation, and Brian Cage had absolutely no reason to be involved here. But it seems as though none of that matters to the other wrestlers involved, the head booker, or the fans who speak so highly of such prop-infested yummy spot fests. Chris Jericho yet again shows that he has a bit of a King Midas effect, except its that everything he touches turns into absolute garbage. At the very least, Paul Wight did not spend too much time on camera."

Paul Wight came off pretty well in this match, he wasn't overexposed but still came across as a force of nature. Powerhouse Hobbs slamming Wight onto a car is something that should be shown in every Hobbs highlight/promo video, that was amazing. The use of a bicycle as a weapon by Takeshita was something straight out of the Yakuza games, the brainbuster onto the bicycle was insane."

At times it was good but also had its very bad moments. Hobbs slamming Wight on the call was good. Noticed Wight was sent backstage quickly to never return. The Ibushi bicycle spot was very poorly done. Think Fletcher looked really good in this one. Noticed Cage took the fall so this feud will more than likely continue. Overall up and down match which was an enjoyable mess."

[0.0] "I should've known we were in for something special, when AEW willingly aired that lame pre-tape with the babyfaces walking into the arena trying to look badass gangsters while more closely resembling a bad Blues Brothers cosplay. In a small way, I'm almost (key word: almost) glad this happened. This encapsulated every issue I have with AEW and modern wrestling in one long, horrible, messy, dangerous, imbecilic catastrophe of a segment. This is the match where if you and some friends were playing AEW bingo, everyone would hit bingo within the first two minutes. This "match" had everything from slow, sloppy, meaningless brawling to dangerous and unnecessary stunts to unfunny comedy all capped off with a finish that does no favors to the young guys AEW are supposedly trying to get over. Paul Wight took the most idiotic and pointless bump of his entire career, and it wasn't even in front of the live audience! What makes this bump even more maddening is Kyle Fletcher took multiple bat shots and a chokeslam off the stage through a table less than a minute into this thing and was back up completely no-selling everything within 3 minutes! I was infuriated by the amount of stupid, potentially career-ending bumps these guys were taking all for this match which nobody will remember a week from now, because we see these kind of clusterfucks all the damn time. Of course, I can't talk about this fiasco without mentioning the ridiculous, insulting, ill-conceived, wretchedly unfunny Ibushi bicycle spot. Kota Ibushi has to hold the record for furthest fall from grace in wrestling history. He went from being one of the most talented wrestlers in the world to barely being able to do the some of the most basic stuff in the ring. He lumbers around looking completely lost in almost every match he's had since his AEW debut, and in order to make up for this, he takes some of the stupidest bumps I've ever seen someone willingly take. In this match alone, he took a clothesline off the bike and landed right on top of his head then later took a tombstone piledriver off the ring onto a bunch of chairs, only for him to just get back up like he's totally fine by the end of this dismal failure of a match. This entire segment felt like water torture, which is sad because I know most of the guys are more than capable of putting on quality matches if they were actually given the chance to have quality matches instead of nonsensical garbage like this."

Hobbs putting Paul Wight down for good backstage? Spends several minutes, mostly offscreen, hovering over him instead of getting back to the fight. Omega having a 1v2 sequence against Fletcher and Cage? Ibushi is walking all around the ring, not even pretending to be too hurt or exhausted to intervene. The alpha Takeshita? Taken out for good by fire extinguisher powder and 1 (ONE! ) Judas Effect. Overall, a disappointing blowoff to Golden Jets vs Don Callis Family that's not really worth watching, since all the sick bumps will surely be replayed, repackaged, and clipped endlessly and their context inside the "story" of the match does not add anything and might be detrimental to enjoyment."

The obvious issue to start with is the tone, which doesn't fit the feud at all, especially when even heels like Takeshita are coming out cosplaying as video game characters. The match was really just a collection of spots, many of which were no-sold anyway. The worst had to be the Tombstone from the apron onto the chairs. Ibushi was up before Fletcher. Actually, Fletcher was down and out after that while Ibushi was able to just shrug it off. The light taps with the pipe whilst riding a bike, too. That was Ibushi in full DDT comedy mode. This feud just hasn't had the intensity anybody thought it would. I'm ready to put it to bed."

Pinning Brian Cage is completely meaningless because he wasn't involved in the feud he's just a sub for Guevara, plus I didn't like Hobbs being tied in the ropes and destroyed because he looked like a million bucks after what he did to Paul White so he should not have been beaten 10 minutes later (even if it's 2 on 1 and he's not taking the pin). I'm one of the biggest Ibushi fan in the world but the dude was completely lost in this match and I was fuming when he stood up less than one minute after taking that crazy piledriver...But hey everything may not makes sense in this match but we still got some very good action with some mind blowing bumps and I can't say that I wasn't entertained for 20 minutes"

But we also get 5 of the most insane bumps of all time (Big Show on the car, Ibushi clotheslined off the bike, Ibushi brainbuster on the bike, Omega eating an insane superplex through a table on the outside, and Fletcher doing a tombstone through a table on a bunch of chairs). Crazy match."

[5.0] "Mostly alright for what it was, at times it did indeed feel like an out of control Street Fight, like when Ibushi came with the bycicle but it was mostly tricks and bumps we've seen a lot of times. Paul Wight looked great when he was in it but then took an incredibly dumb and unnecessary bump that will probably hurt a lot to him while not propperly helping Hobbs much. They could have just done the slam on the mat after Hobbs took his knee, the impressive part was picking him up anyway. Reckless and a bad way to use a legendary talent in bad physical condition. As the match went on it became less interesting and more about doing some spots. A Judas Effect / V Trigger led to Hobbs being tied to the ropes and not the finish and from there there was not really nothing they could actually do. Hobbs was randomly absent for a big bunch. Jericho taking Takeshita out after announcers are talking about he beating him on the DDT show is also not how I'd done this. There was an hilarious moment where Brian Cage superplexes Omega to the outside through two tables only for Omega to be beating him up when we return from break. Can't call this either bad or good, i give it the 5."

The spots were so corny, we had Ibushi no selling tombstones on chairs, Paul Wight who should not step near a ring at this age, and people getting hit with flimsy menus, and crates. I really didnt enjoy it as much as I probably shouldve, but it is what it is. Im happy that Ibushi is officially signed to the company, and I hope it leads to a legit Golden Lovers reunion, as I really loved the work in Japan, however he seems stiff at this age especially after the large Japanese workload. Overall I just cannot stand these gimmicky AEW promotion matches. Jarret vs Hardy was absolutely horrendus, and this wasnt far from it."

If this abomination of a match happened on WWE TV people would be giving it -5 stars and calling it the worst wrestling match in history. It gets 1 point from me for Ibushi getting clotheslined on his head off the bicycle as that was unintentionally hilarious to me."

Ibushi, Omega and Fletcher were the best competitors for me. that tombstone by Kyle on Ibushi and Powerhouse Hobbs Powerslamming Paul Wight onto a car, were so sick although we saw several more extreme moves. I thought that the average points for this is gonna be somewhere between 8.50 to 9, but honestly some people are not a fan of these matches. no wrestling company right now produces these kinda interesting matches, which was extreme and also funny, like Ibush riding on a bike with a pipe! [6.0] "I really dont like sponsored matches in wrestling, especially when they involve serious feuds lasting six months. In fact, this match had almost no influence from this sponsorship, but the match itself was structured really poorly. I usually love these kind of mindless street fights, even though they are often overused in AEW. Still, the frankly poor construction was too obvious here. First you see how Paul Wight, who literally barely moves, destroys two young guys, then he takes exactly one bump and flies out before the end of the match, although it was somewhere at the beginning. I have only respect for Wight and hes great for agreeing to accept such a dangerous bump for him, but still his participation in the fight initially raised questions and clearly did not justify him. The structure itself is downright controversial, if structure can be found in such matches at all. Just a set of spots, and there were both really high-quality and memorable (Fletchers tombstone on chairs) and absolutely miserable ones (Takeshta brutally destroying Jericho on soft sofas). Many little things immediately caught my eye, spoiling the impressions of an already disorderly and chaotic fight. For example, why after the same tombstone that Fletcher performed on Ibushi, it was Ibushi who first got up and went to help the team as if nothing had happened, and Fletcher was eliminated for the rest of the match at that moment? Or the same tape that was torn right before our eyes and even after a couple of rolls it was hard to believe that it was actually holding Hobbs back. In general, there were some pleasant moments and some not so good ones. In any case, I hope that this whole story is over and Omega will go do more interesting things."

It felt really disjointed, nobody really felt in sync and the chaos kindof felt awkward instead of wild and crazy. Half the time people kindof meandered around the ring, people were in the wrong place for spots which left awkward pauses between the big spots. Overall this match is a few cool spots with a lot of awkward mess in between, just watch the youtube highlights."

But wow, the first half of this was some DDT shit in the best way. Paul Wight was here to be in a suit, choke slam, leave, and then take one of the craziest bumps of his entire career backstage, and it was perfect to put Hobbs over as a killer. Not to be out done, Ibushi has an all-timer neck bump after a fun bike spot. Takeshita in the Majima cosplay was great here and threw the bike as was required in an RGG match, though Cage was the backbone of the heel team throughout. I liked the callback to the duct tape crucifixion with Hobbs getting it this time, and the use of the bottles by Kenny was a highlight later on. Mostly just a brutal way to give the faces one more win in this feud, though I think they're going to go to one more blowoff with less gimmicks. Excellent and fun TV action. ****1/4+"

There was one portion of the match where Omega is getting double-teamed in the middle of the ring while Ibushi just casually walks around the outside of the ring not doing anything to help. Normally wrestlers try to sell when they're outside the ring like that waiting for their next spot, but not Ibushi. Later, Ibushi takes a Tombstone through a stack of chairs, but is up again less than two minutes later handing Omega chairs. Even Excalibur chuckled while calling it on commentary, which should tell you how ridiculous it was. Then you had the silly Ibushi bicycle spot, which honestly felt like something you would've seen Crash Holly do during his WWF Hardcore title run. Lastly, the food menu stands being used as serious weapons was too much for me. They looked like flimsy cardboard, and it was embarrassing watching Hobbs pretend to be knocked out after getting hit by one."

The crowd was also super quiet for this match, and also pretty much the entire show, and it wasnt really AEWs fault, the show itself was good, but the crowd sucked, and maybe that just took me out of the match. The bike spot also sucked, Kota Ibushi was going about one MPH on the bike then lightly tapped his opponents with some kind of plastic pipe. The tombstone from the apron to the outside through the sign though was the highlight of the match, that was awesome. Paul Wrigjt was in the match for like five minutes, which is probably for the best."

[7.0] "This was an absolute cluster, but a stupid fun one at times. First off - can we talk about Ibushi just wandering around hitting himself in the head with signs or casually roaming ringside in full view of the hard cam while his canonical soulmate is getting his ass whipped in the ring by both Fletcher and Cage? Idk what the hell is going on with Ibushi, he just looks lost in these multiman matches. I don't care how out of shape he is, he should at least have sense enough to do better than THAT on camera. I get that Kenny loves this man and that Ibushi was a literal god at one point before his injury, but bro just looks rough now. Paul Wight has a blissfully short involvement and basically takes one big bump on the car to make Hobbs look good, and that's 100% all he needed to do here. Kenny and Cage had the best stuff imo, and the best use of the various decorations around the ring. The walk and brawl with Jericho and Take was decent but by the numbers. Kenny takes a couple of gross bumps as usual, as does Ibushi onto both the bike and the table and chairs. Nice spot with Kenny breaking the bottle over Fletcher's head. Overall, this was fun, if unfocused, and a million times better than the Texas Chainsaw debacle."
