[7.0] "This is for sure one of the weirdest matches I've ever seen. I don't remember watching a match that looked so legitimate in its structure, its storytelling and its psychology ever. It looked like these guys weren't performing a fake fight at all, but rather wrestling a legit contest giving the pace, the constant measuring all men did with each other instead of doing constant tag moves or more high intensity sequences. It was really technical and believable, which basically led to the main problem of this match in my opinion. It was really, really slow and boring at times, specially the bits where Rick and Bret were in the ring, as Owen and Scott were more quick and dynamic. The Sleeper Hold spot was too damn long, but really well sold by Rick and Bret. The referee counting to Bret to let Rick go out of the hold was nonsensical. He counted him too many times without DQ'ing him. The match ending in double DQ was crappy. This truly deserved to end with one winner. The post-match brawl was really good though, with both teams beating the shit out of each other, relaxing after a while, them calling their opponents back to the ring for more brawling until they cool down for good and showed respect for each other. Really unique match, but with a lot of execution fails that could've made this one of the best matches of all time (*** 3/4)"
[8.0] "This was a great blend of technique, power, and athleticism. I love how it always feels like everybody in the match is actually trying to win. It's a quality that I often feel is missing from modern wrestling. The older I get the more I appreciate how brilliant Bret Hart is. Everything he does is so purposeful, and his selling is tremendous. The finish does let this one down a bit, but there is still a lot to love about this match. The post-match is well worth checking out too - "is that Pat Patterson? Holy mackerel did he get fat! ""
[6.0] "I loved this when I was in high school. But that was decades ago and wrestling has more than passed this match by. The novelty of a well-worked 25 minute match in a WWF ring is something, but it's very flat compared to work that all four guys had done elsewhere before and after. And the finish was kind of crap, especially as Owen and Rick, the legal men, had only been on the floor for a moment when the referee threw the match out."
[9.0] "Think Steiners vs Sting & Luger, but over twice as long and with a, imo, more satisfying finish. This is just four great wrestlers taking turns running through all of their great spots. I'd say this is the best Steiners match I've ever seen, so if you're a fan of theirs, look up Wrestlefest 94 or get the Hart & Soul dvd set, and enjoy being wowed."
[9.0] "This was a super rare occurrence in this era where you do not only have a one-on-one encounter between two babyfaces, but a tag team encounter between two teams of faces instead. One of the greatest tag teams of the 90s locking horns against two of the best in-ring wrestlers of all time. And the result is a fantastic, incredible display of technical array and tag team excellence. A groundbreaking contest with stuff that was very well ahead of the WWF at the time. I would've loved a clean finish here, but I can't really fault the promotion for trying to protect both teams. Plus, that awesome post-match brawl surely made up for it. [****1/2]"
[8.0] "For its flaws, this match was years ahead of its time. This style of wrestling simply was not common on WWF programming. With two of the greatest tag teams ever going at it, perhaps it was inevitable. The underlying story here was Bret Hart growing frustrated with his inability to overcome Rick Steiner on the mat and relying on strikes and even underhanded tactics in what was shaping up to be a mat classic. The match grew into a borderline classic with some of the best offense you will see in a WWF ring in 1994. I would have liked a more coherent ending, but this was admittedly par for the course during that time period. Nevertheless, major points for innovation and influence here. The type of match that helped shift American wrestling towards what it is today, even if the live crowd had no idea how great it was. 4.25 stars, 8.5 out of 10."
[8.0] "Looks like 4 men were told to go out and fill 30 minutes with greatness, so they did just that with a 20 minute match then 10 more with the post-match shenanigans with neither team wanting to back down from the other until the eventual acceptance of respect."

[8.0] "Gutes Tag Team Match, bei welchem es hin und her geht. Alle vier Wrestler, allen voran Owen Hart, können mit schönen Aktionen glänzen. Das Ende mit dem Draw ist natürlich etwas blöd und schmälert den Eindruck etwas. Der Aftermath hingegen war wieder recht nett. War lustig, wie sich beide Teams gegenseitig noch mal in den Ring zurückrufen, sich weiterprügeln und sich am Ende doch wieder vertragen."
[8.0] "A low key classic that saw some great action take place. Any combination of these men was fantastic, no surprise given their abilities, and I liked the finish. Things were turning out pretty even after 20 minutes or so of good pro wrestling before it got a little looser and a little wilder, thanks to frustration getting the better of all four men, which I thought the finish captured nicely. Then, after the bell, the pull apart brawl was superb."

[7.0] "Muss zu diesem Match meinen Kommentar noch einmal auffrischen, da das was ich damals gesagt habe nicht mehr relevant ist in meinen Augen. Das Match ging unerwartet lange und hatte einige spektakuläre Moves vor allem auf Seiten der Steiner Brothers, wie etwa den Tiger Driver oder den Dive nach draußen von Scott Steiner. Das Match hing etwas im Mittelteil, was nun einmal bei so einer langen Matchzeit oft der Fall ist, konnte aber durch die gute Workrate von den Steiners und Bret etwas kaschiert werden. Dafür hatte das Match einen sehr guten Anfang und eine hervorragende Endphase. Kritisch zu bewerten ist allerdings das Finish, das eine höhere Bewertung verhindert. Ansonsten war das Match sehr gut durchstrukturiert und hatte eine gute Dynamik. Definitiv eines der besseren Matches in diesem Jahr. *** 1/2 (8)"
[8.0] "Sehr gutes Match, dass mit einem echten Finish auch eine höhere Wertung bekommen hätte. Aber einige Kommentare hier machen mich echt stutzig. Keine spektakulären Moves? Kommt ganz ohne übertrieben Spots aus? Ja bin ich denn eigentlich der einzige hier, der den Steiner Screwdriver gegen Owen gesehen hat? Den wohl gefährlichsten Move im ganzen Wrestling Business? Nicht zu vergessen Moves, die damals absolut unbekannt bei WWF waren wie die ganzen Tilt-a-Whirl moves, Tiger Drivers und Dragon Suplexes, die die Steiners hier rausgehauen haben? Oder muss man heutzutage von einer Leiter durch einen Tisch fliegen um spektakulär zu sein? Wenn man den Kommentaren hier glauben würde, könne man meinen hier ein mattenbasiertes Submission Match à la Inoki in den 60ern und 70ern gesehen zu haben. Egal. Es war ein sehr schönes TagTeam Match mit viel guter Action, das eine gute Story erzählt hat, und sehr viel heat für ein Face vs Face match hatte. Sehr gefallen hat mir wie die Kommentatoren mehr oder weniger subtil Owen das ganze Match über unter Wert verkauft haben, und oft seine Entscheidungen und Aktionen in Frage gestellt haben, so als wäre er halt noch ein Rookie der noch nicht wirklich eine Ahnung hat. Wenn das Absicht war, um Owen als "minderwertig" gegenüber Bret darzustellen und zusätzlichen Treibstoff für seinen Heelturn zu liefern, dann war das wirklich erste Sahne. Wie gesagt, dass Finish ist lächerlich. Mal wieder eines dieser 1-2-10 Countout finishes, bei dem man Angst hatte ein regulärer Countout könnte zu lange dauern und das Publikum langweilen. Nur zur Info liebe Wrestlingbooker: Ein countout finish ist IMMER langweilig, deswegen ist es egal ob regulär bis 10 gezählt wird oder einfach mitten im Zählen entschieden wird, dass jetzt die 10 kommt, um das Match zu beenden. ****"
[8.0] "Durchaus solide, keine Frage. Nur wäre da denke ich mehr drin gewesen, denn dieser Brawl am Ende des Matches macht vieles von der soliden Vorarbeit kaputt und man ist schon betrübt, dass es keinen eindeutigen Sieger gibt, schade!"

[8.0] "Ach wie schön war doch die Zeit, als Tag-Team-Wrestling in der WWE noch einen gewissen Stellenwert hatte. Vier absolute Könner im Ring, 20 Minuten Zeit und heraus kommt ein schönes Match und das ganz ohne übertriebene Spots, dafür mit einfachem klaren Mattenwrestling. Wrestling-Herz was willst du mehr? ***3/4"
[8.0] "Sehr ansprechendes Old-School Match, dessen Roter Faden die scheinbar stiffe Rivalität besonders zwischen Bret und den Steiners ist. Das Match ist sehr facettenreich, hat von hervorragendem Mattenwrestling bis hin zu starken Impact-Moves alles zu bieten. Auch die Länge wird dieser Paarung gerecht - das Finish hingegen wird nicht jedem gefallen - ein Double-Countout, der bis zur Versöhnungszeremonie der Teams vorübergehend erhitze Gemüter übrig liess. Eine definitive Empfehlung von mir, dafür spricht das Personal und die Tatsache, dass man von den beiden Harts ohnehin nie viele Matches zu sehen bekam - und das war jetzt mein 600. Kommentar :) !"
