I was not hyped for it, but after Trents pre-match promo I KNEW he would give the performance of his lifetime, and he did. He was the MVP in a match with Shingo fuckin Takagi. His selling was extraordinary, the drama before the rope break was insane. Extreme psychology abilities. It RULED. Trent even turned heel for a little bit when he decided to push the Ref and attack Shingo with a table.

Trent got me invested into the match with that promo in the middle of the show, he gave it an amazing feel into it, and his perfomance backed up the talking, he was great, the MVP of the match for sure. Shingo is great and versatile as always. This was awesome to watch, a lot of spots and psychology. You could perfectly see the progression and match development, so it was a very pleasant and fit main event to watch - {****1/4}

He is easily in control at the start and just working Baretta down with submissions, until Baretta uses weapons to get an edge and force things to take a more violent turn. From there it's like, it's okay, I guess. I sometimes felt positively about the match but then they would completely lose me again. Felt like a very aimless kind of fight towards the end, and at a weirdly slow pace too, but the pace isn't necessarily a bad thing, just overall it didn't work here. Just a real weird, overly long match.

It was paced like something either a lot more gruelling or a lot more personal than it actually was, and there wasn't much in the way of hype or heat from the audience to fill in the gaps. Ended up being as long as the previous two matches combined and was not ever as intense as either of them, which is not something I'm used to saying about Shingo main events.

8311.11.2023Kobes0898.0Thought this match was very good and proved Trent can hang up there with the top stars. Crowd was so behind Shingo and it was a nice slower paced hard hitter. The ending minutes of the match were great, believable false finishes and hard grapples that you couldnt look away from. Trent had people believing he might win the title and it was emotional but in the end obviously the Dragon comes out on top. Nice table spot, had everything you could want and did everything it was supposed to do. Couple small things that hurt it but I think anyone, even casuals, like a lot of the audience live, can get invested and thats great when that happens. Id say 4.5*

They started slowly but after Beretta started blending everything became big match style; the finish was too much unexpected for a main - event but if you can suffer it you 'll find something to enjoy here. ****1/2

This had all the qualities one would want in a Never Openweight bout, with two dudes should beating the absolute hell out of each other. Good stuff and an awesome way to end the show.
