1402.01.2024Screaming Enigma7.0A fun, explosive opener here. I'm surprised it took AEW this long to get to the one-on-one match between these two after Fox got kicked out of The Mogul Embassy back in August. Either way, good stuff all around here and I'm glad that Fox continues to get nice showings.

2818.11.2023BenVan77.0I was debating between a 6/10 and a 7/10 for this match but opted for the 7/10 just for the sheer athletic prowess on show here. Swerve Strickland and AR Fox have incredible chemistry and are able to leverage their athleticism to perform some very creative spots. Unfortunately, the result of this match was never in doubt given Swerve's upcoming match at Full Gear, and in general, the heat just wasn't there. If AR Fox was a built-up talent and this was a built-to match, then this could've really been fantastic. But as it stands, it's just good. ***1/2

5608.11.2023Mizzle Assault Ant9.0It may not be Hell of War, nobody left a gobbet of flesh lying on the floor for example, but even so I love the chemistry between these two and they never fail to deliver a great match in the ring. From the opening visual of AR Fox hammering Strickland down the ring as the pyros exploded behind him, all the way through the vicious looking offense and big bumps of the match, this felt like it had true intensity and was yet another argument that AR Fox deserves a regular spot on AEW TV, regardless of why he missed the UK show. The only thing that was lacking was any mystery about the finish, but even so this was a great TV match by two top AEW talents.

6507.11.2023charliefiction8.0Really enjoyable match between two wrestlers with good in-ring chemistry. In almost every match, Swerve is coming up with a new sequence or move that I've never seen him use before. In this one, it was his setup to the finish -- a seamless transition from a powerbomb into a powerslam. It was beautifully done. Fox's 450 splash had a perfect rotation on it, as well (so plaudits to him -- he makes it look easy when many wrestlers over- or under-rotate).

8106.11.2023Michael Morbius7.0This was a fun match. Fox and Swerve have incredible chemistry and they showcased it once again here. Fox attacking Swerve while he was cutting a pre-match promo was cool and his dive off the stage was impressive. Both men's offense looked great and the action was all throughout the match despite an underwhelming closing stretch. It's just a shame that this match only happend now when there basically no heat between these two and their rivalry lost a lot of momentum. 7/10 - 3.5*/5*
