[8.0] "This was an excellent match. The argument could be made that between the end of 2009 when this feud first started in ROH up to the point where El Generico went to WWE, this was the best feud off and on outside of WWE. This started off hot with a sprint, with El Generico and Kevin Steen immediately attacking one another the second Steen ran into the ring before the bell rang. The brawled into the crowd, with Generico giving a swinging DDT to the floor. From there, it was big move after big move and these two didn't let up. The hatred between these two were evident as they were spitting on each other at different points of the match. Generico did pick up the win after hitting a brain buster on the ring apron. This win led up to their epic ladder match at Steen Wolf. ****1/4"

[7.0] "This match is fun, it's the final of the 2011 BOLA tournament, and the start of the PWG spin-off of the Steen/Generico feud, that ended very heated in last year's Final Battle. Probably the best storytelling of the match is the kid wearing El Generico's mask, Steen did a lot of nice interactions with him, and it was a great attraction. They do a lot of moves back in forth, and in the ending stretch, Steen kicks out of 3 helluva kicks and a brainbuster, which is honestly a reach, for me it's a lot, but right after that Generico performs a brainbuster on the apron and wins the match, reducing the damage, and adding more elements to their rivalry. After the match, Steen punched the trophy, but Generico managed to push him away and the bout had a happy ending - {***1/2}"

Not their best PWG match together, as that would happen a month later in their phenomenal ladder match, but its pretty darn close. These two simply put, cant miss. Hard-hitting, violent, and told a great story in terms of both men being in PWGs upper echelon of legends, but never winning their most coveted invention. The BOLA. ****1/4"

I looked the fast paced action throughout the match, and is also isn't as long as their other matches. It was different to see an apron move be the finish to a match, lol. Generico dropped Steen on his dome with a Brainbuster on the apron for the finish and win. Fun match in the end."

[9.0] "A very short match, but it had so much going on. The ongoing feud between El Generico and Kevin Steen continues. Not only did they pack this match with great action, but what made the match REALLY special were the interactions with the little kid in the crowd, who was wearing an El Generico mask. It added a whole other layer to this match, and some of Steen's finest heel work was in this match (and he is a GREAT heel). In some ways this match was simple, but it goes to show that sometimes wrestling at its simplest is wrestling at its best. This was fantastic."

[10.0] "This is the best straight up normal singles match these 2 have had against each other. It was fairly simple w/ Steen being the heel, and Generico being the babyface, but in that moment, it all was magical. You got the little kid wearing a Generico mask cheering him on while Steen keeps talking crap to him. It was just perfect. One of the best PWG matches ever. ****3/4"
