[9.0] ""He's bleeding like an alcoholics liver" is peak commentary. The match otherwise was insane. The bumps throughout look terrible, and while the match is very confusing to watch it still has a place to entertain."

[10.0] "This Cage of Death is very crazy and creative. It's definitely one of the best Cage of Death's that happened in CZW, and the amount of insane spots that they did in this match like the Yakuza Kick which sent Ian Knoxx flying off the cage into a bunch of tables, or Lobo hitting a Death Valley Driver off the cage was just sick. The only bad thing with this Cage of Death were the confusing rules lol. Also the legendary ECW wrestler New Jack makes his CZW debut in this match and I gotta say it was pretty weird with him turning heel instantly on Zandig, which then he would jump off the cage onto Zandig which is classic New Jack. Other than that this has to be top 3 Cage of Death's."

[4.0] "So I'm into death matches and violence but this match didn't do it whatsoever for me. The actual ending action is bad and they repeat the same spot multiple times over. Death matches are good when you do a crazy spot once and that's it. That's what makes stuff like new Jack's dive and Foley as hell in the cell dive so great. When you repeat spots and just do high spots and not have any other substance in the match, that's where you lose me."

Every single one of them goes all out to make this match memorable, including the likes of Dewey Donovan! As a match, this has your attention from the off, because there is so much to captivate you and wow you."

[9.0] "whoever booked this was a cool ass dude. zandig was outnumbered 3-1, and then suddenly, here comes the surprise sixth man, fucking new jack. new jack being new jack, immediately turns on him, which eventually results in one of the coolest spots of the match where new jack jumps off the fucking cage onto zandig who was laying on tables. this eliminated new jack but he didnt care, he was out for blood against zandig. B-boy never actually made it into the cage, but he ended up swinging from it, he ended up being the first elimination. ian knoxx was bumping like crazy for everyone, he takes a yakuza kick from trent acid sending him sailing through tables and eliminating himself. adam flash hit a massive leg drop into the cage, him and wifebeater both got accords to the stage, making it 1-1. wifebeater did a sidewalk slam to adam flash into the thumbtacks. lobo did my favorite spot of the match, hitting johnny kashmere and dewey with a fucking double death valley driver eliminating himself to get rid of them. trent acid got eliminated by nick gage in the thumb tack ring. the match ended with nate hatred turning on the messiah and reforming the H8 club with nick gage and throwing the messiah through a table covered in thumbtacks. this match was so fucking awesome. this reminds you why the indie scene was so hot in the 2000s."

[9.0] "Call me crazy, but this is the best match in CZW history. The confusing and convoluted rules, a ring full of thumbtacks, surprise entrant, insane spots, twist and swerves. Zandig is a genius for this. (****3/4)."

[10.0] "One of the craziest matches, if not THE craziest match, of all time. Check your brain at the door, because this match is all about cramming as much insane shit into 30 minutes as possible. Surprise partners, teammates turning on each other, managers getting involved, an entirely separate ring full of nothing but thumbtacks, SO MUCH STUFF. A match that must be seen at least once."

[5.0] "First time I saw this match, I was blown away by their bravery, but a second reveals many fatal flaws in their conception. The match structure was out of whack, the rules were fuzzy and you never really knew what counted as an elimination or not, and the overbooking was rampant with two separate swerve betrayals that made no sense whatsoever and in one case means that the past 8 months of booking were a charade, something absolutely mind-numbingly stupid, especially for what should be the climax of a the biggest storyline of 2003. That being said, there are also a few positives to the match. For once, Hi-V patented stalling actually built up suspense, but would have been more efficient if it didn't happen in almost every match of every show. The beginning of the match, even if it makes no sense on a rules basis, made the Hi-V look dangerous, dominant and united, and then every babyface got their chance to have a moment of shine in impressive daring fashion, a pleasant concept. Finally, while the whole match setup was dangerous, reckless and in places just silly, it did lead to almost a dozen crazy bumps, which this crowd was rabid for and got the blood they wanted. In conclusion, for a big feud-ender with a tortuous build and a nonsensical and contradictory climax, it made no sense and was awfully executed, but for a mindless spotfest that delivered carnage, it was successful, therefore I split the difference and call it a moderate average match with huge upsides and deep flaws, a match that suceeded at the time but aged disgracefully and a concept that would get refined a lot in the future."

[9.0] "This was a ridiculous cluster fuck with insane spots. Whilst the booking was beyond absurd, you gotta admire the risks that everyone took. It's a miracle no one's career was ended. The brawling was pretty weak at some points, but the frequent high spots made up for it. All in all, this was a classic CZW spectacle. ****1/4"

[7.0] "Very good match that showcases early CZW ultra-violence. The structure of the cage this show was one of the more innovative versions I? ve seen; a second ring filled with (allegedly) a million thumbtacks and a steel fence connecting the two rings. Action spilled all over the place with all participants having their moments. There was one spot with an elbow drop while swinging from the fence, which I thought was cool. Another major spot was the Yakuza kick from the fence/ramp that send the victim flying across and over the ring, into what looked like a table all the way at the floor. Insane! I rank this 7 because it was a little hard to keep up with everything, a clusterfuck if you will, and because of New Jack, who I could care less for and didn? t add anything to the match."

[10.0] "One of the biggest spectacles ever seen on the indie scene. The surprise entrant being New Jack(and his crazy dive), the thumbtack filled ring number 2. , the spots being craziest of all time level stuff. All this made COD 5 one of the most unique matches in CZW history. It showed that an indy promotion can produce some big production stuff and something ambitious & imaginative, with a huge crowd. The storyline and feud for this match was build for a whole year and it also connected together multiple smaller storylines. So many absolutely incredible high risk spots and so many memorable moments. In my opinion the magnitude of the match and overall craziness of it surpassed the flaws of the booking. Prowrestling. wikia. com: "Cage Of Death 5 won a poll in 2007 as 'Best Cage Of Death In History'. "It had one of the most unique setups ever; 6 on 6 match where there were two rings. One was the actual cage and the other was a ring filled with a million thumbtacks. There was a suspended metal scaffold leading from the stage to the cage. To win the match, you either had to get your entire team from the stage, into the cage, and back across the scaffold to the stage, or eliminate the entire other team. A wrestler was eliminated once they hit the floor."
