[6.0] "Luke Harper succeeds in every aspect of this match and every great part of it have him being the main focus, either by him doing his excellent moves or the phenomenal selling. Randy tries very hard to make this match uninteresting and drags it out to the point you start begging for more Harper action. No wonder we were craving for at least a 3-way at Mania, Harper was easily the better performer from the team and the most interesting character. Such a shame this match was all he got from it."

Harper really showed that he can get over with limited opportunities, this should've been the company's sign to have him do something other than job out on Main Event."

[8.0] "This is such an impressive match. The babyface - heel dynamic is unusual, which is exacerbated by Harper's lack of stature as a singles star. As a result, the initial atmosphere is almost non-existent, but both grapplers remain committed to their role, with Orton showing cowardice early. Harper's offence is fabulous throughout, impressively athletic yet still wild and woolly. Somehow, it's likely a mere runner up to his bumping, which is often followed by horror movie facials. Their efforts gradually get the people onboard, with Orton visibly following suit, suddenly feeling the match's emerging momentum. The match climbs considerably from there, unlocking the finishing run with immaculate timing that captures Orton at his best, also highlighting Harper's offensive firepower. It had no shot at being perfect, but that's part of what makes this such a memorable hit. ***3/4"

I remember at the time people wanting harper to be pushed into the wwe title match at mania i was one of these people. After watching this match it is insane to me that this didnt push him into that spot. I love this match it is so damn good. 4.25 stars"

I know Elimination Chamber isn't the biggest PPV by any means, but it was a big deal for Harper, considering he hadn't been given a lot of Singles Matches on PPV. Plus, it was against one of the greatest of all time, in Orton. This went a bit long, but I still enjoyed it and thought it was cool in general to have a match like this."

Felt like Orton was on autopilot here especially with that headlock he applied felt like he had it locked in forever. The 2nd half Orton finally picked up his part and we got some great action between these two, as opposed to Luke Harper doing all of the work, he was still the better of the two during this however.***3/4"

[7.0] "Fun match between Orton and Harper here in the middle of this PPV and it was certainly one of the best matches of the night there too but it doesn't pass the main event and the solid opener in my book, simply because I found it a little too long for what it was and the first few minutes weren't the most interesting. The match as a whole was very enjoyable, both performed well and offered some quality content but I have to admit that it wasn't always well paced so that's why I can't put a higher rating on it and consider it a showstealer. It's still one of the best singles matches Harper has had during his WWE run and by far, his performance here was complete with interesting moves and an energy with which he won the hearts of the crowd even if he was clearly the underdog here. There wasn't too much suspense but it was still cool to watch, I just wish it hadn't gone on so long."

[8.0] "Started off pretty slow, but got very good down the line with some late nearfall. Harper put on a really great showing here and by the end of the match, the crowd was fully into him. WWE could've easily capitalized on this post 'Mania in my opinion, and made him a strong top midcarder for SmackDown. This match was a forgotten gem. [***3/4]"

[7.0] "RIP Brodie Lee/Luke Harper. Sometimes you can see how worried wrestlers are with performing complicated moves right and it takes away from their character work. But not Luke Harper, who was always on point. In every close shot of his face you can see the vacant look in his eyes or a "maniacal" grin, always in character. Just having so much fun doing this and playing the part of Luke Harper. An absolute joy to watch."

[9.0] "One of Orton? s Most underrated PPV matches, and just one of the most underrated PPV matches of the last decade, period. Hearing the crowd slowly turn in favour of Luke as the match goes on still gives me chills when rewatching the match. Orton? s Slower paced matches have proven to be a massive downside on PPVs in the past but I actually think it worked rather well in slowly and organically getting Harper over with the crowd. It makes the multiple nearfalls Harper gets near the end of the match to really hold some weight. My only issues are the slightly too slow beginning and a bit of a quiet crowd during that time. Other than that though, this match houses great action, a great story behind it and great pacing. Goes to show how much of a gem WWE let slip through their fingers in Luke Harper/Brodie Lee."

[8.0] "Very good match between both guys. Harper shined in this match, and I give him a lot of credit in working to get the crowd to be on his side even when they clearly were favoring Orton. The ending was very strong, but I think it was just missing a little something to be considered a GREAT match. ***3/4"

Randy Orton is finally a main eventer that has a lot of charm, way better character than in 2013. The Wyatt Family feud is one of the best things right now. ***3/4"

[6.0] "This was good. It started with the 100 usual rest holds from Mr. Headlock himself. Then it got really good after 6-8 minutes, they did some really cool stuff and even though they never got into another gear, I enjoyed it. Very good performance from Harper, hopefully he gets pushed after the Mania season, he absolutely deserves it. Unfortunately the first half of the match was really dull, so I am giving this one *** 1/4."

[7.0] "A good match, best singles match from both these 2 in a while. Started off slow but worked well to build the crowd and match up. The second half of the match was really good and the crowd really got behind Harper which was good because he wasn't getting huge crowd reactions at the rumble so hopefully they captitalize of this, he benefited from this match even in loss. Orton looked good, pulled out some moves I wasn't expecting and adapted his wrestling to his character well, good match and I know we probably won't see it but I'd like to see another proper match between these two soon, ***1/2"

[6.0] "A bit of a weird match. It was pretty lethargic early and worked in a way that would make the viewer think Orton is the heel and Harper is the face. It picked up as it went along, but never really found a groove. Not really a breakout performance for Harper but a fine performance that made him at times look on par with a top name in WWE. Could have been stronger overall."

[7.0] "This was a Luke Harper show. Randy Orton wasn't on Harper's level - his work on top was straight up boring, classic "headlock Orton" - things only picked up when Harper started his comeback and was flying all over the place. The 2nd half of the match was more action packed than the first one, that's for sure, but it wasn't really too good, because sadly Orton got a lot of that portion, too. I am glad to see Luke Harper shine in a singles match at a PPV though - his performance was real good. Overall this was good, but somewhat disappointing because they had a better match on SmackDown just few weeks ago - yes, I recommend everybody to check out their SD match from 01/24, because that indeed was better than this one in my eyes. ***"

These two just gel so well together and Harper was just awesome in this and Orton held up his end of the match which was nice as well. Some awesome stuff done with the brawling on the outside and then the finishing stretch was sweet too. Definitely worth the watch IMO. (***3/4)"

[8.0] "Honestly this is one of those cases that I see people giving it a low rating and I shake my head. I thought this was superb. Luke Harper has consistently showed that he can kill it as a singles wrestler. I mean who can forget that Ladder match in '14 and now this. Both Orton and Harper were fantastic (****)."
Glover wrote on 13.02.2017:
[8.0] "Started slowly... VERY slowly. Decent brawling, headlock spots that went somewhat too long, a couple bigger spots that got reactions. This built very slow, but it mostly felt methodical and none of it was executed poorly. From about the Superplex onwards, however, this got REALLY good. Harper really clicked with this crowd over time, heating up with some awesome power moves and a REALLY good back-and-forth strike exchange. The finish was pretty slick, and Orton going over was expected due to him having the Mania main event. The thing is, this was still Harper's match, and he was MADE here. Not the greatest match, but it's a very important one for Luke. ***3/4"

It's great to see Randy motivated in the ring and this whole feud has reinvigorated him. Awesome climax and ending few minutes. Hoping Orton can keep performing in this level, especially at Mania. Great match ***3/4"
