[7.0] "This was a match that seemed like two great tag teams that were going to have a good friendly competition but, there was a switch that got flipped and the intensity went to the roof. YOH and MUSASHI were able to play the defacto heels here by exploiting TJP's neck injury and masterfully getting the loud Korakuen fans solidly behind Catch 2/2. This was a great showcase for MUSASHI's potential in a high level match and YOH looked better than usually here with emotion and like he truly cared about getting the win for the first time in the tournament. The TJP injury being a focal point for the match was everything and will probably be important in telling a story with Akira being the one to drag his partner through the rest of the tournament. ***3/4"

While the tag team of YOH and MUSASHI didn't necessarily work his neck, the injury was utilised in a number of spots - initially in the "Take a Picture" spot. This was a high level match."

YOH can sometimes really fade into the background but he was strong here, and Catch 22 remains one of the most exciting things going in New Japan right now, and the story of TJP's neck was a simple but solid throughline."

[7.0] "It's a night of good matches so far. Catch 2/2 are the favourites for the tournament so YOH/MUSASHI really take the game to them here to try and prove their worth. There's a lovely side-story here that TJP is suffering a neck injury and it comes up a few times throughout. YOH/MUSHASHI are really starting to grow on me as a team and I'm looking forward to when they face off with TAKA with all the Michinoku Pro references in their work. There was another really good finishing run as TJP kept going for offense and being hindered by the neck leading to YOH hitting the Direct Drive for the win. A big shock to see Catch 2/2 lose two in a row. ***1/2"

[8.0] "Look at the names this couldn't go wrong. TJP sold his neck fucking perfectly and for the entire they kept on back and forth very well, it's a pity that Catch 2/2 didn't get the win but they did an hell of a performance so at the end of the day I'm fine with that. ***3/4"
