[7.0] "Very surprising match this one. I wasn't expecting anything but it had some really great moves and the dynamic between the three of them were on point - {***1/4}"

[8.0] "This was my "Match of the Night, " for sure. Because both Cage and Castagnoli can work as bases for aerial offense and aerial counters, it was a perfect showcase for Nick Jackson (who now gets to run back his singles classic against Rey Fenix). I was especially impressed by the spot where Castagnoli caught Nick Jackson on the moonsault, but had his counter immediately countered into a swinging DDT on the floor. Good build on the near-falls too (especially Cage's F5)."

[9.0] "By a pretty clear margin the match of the night, I'd say. The bits with Claudio and Brian Cage together in particular were especially great, I'd love to see a pure singles match between the two of them. Claudio remains an unreal powerhouse, and Brian Cage has kind of never stopped rocking even as his push has wildly fluctuated over the years. As the third member of the dance we have a rare singles Young Buck appearance. Nick wasn't bad but I wasn't feeling him so much in this match, he felt like a third wheel to me and didn't mesh super well with the other two. Sadly he was the one who went over, I was rooting for Claudio since he and Fenix worked really well together the last time they fought but I suppose it's hard to battle with EVP powers sometimes. So it goes, still a really fun TV match overall."

[7.0] "Match of the night, and super fun to watch. Nick Jackson really impressed me here with how serious he kept things, and this is definitely one of the more fun 3-man matches I've seen that doesn't go off the deep end with spots or unbelievability. Night and day when compared to the indieriffic 3-way from later in the night. Definitely a match worth watching or rewatching/"

[7.0] "A very nice three-way match with some stakes. Kind of reminds me of the Rusev/Owens/Cesaro triple threat from Raw but with a small guy in there instead of three big guys. Claudio & Cage were on a high gear from the get-go and toss their opponents around. Nick mostly exists to be the small guy in the match for the sake of certain spots, right up until he just wins. I guess commentary foreshadowed why Nick Jackson would get a singles title shot but it still felt random relative to what things are like right now. Still, a very nice TV sprint. ***1/2"

[8.0] "Tons of fun. Nick is the odd man out here, much smaller than his opponents, but his speed and athleticism is a nice counter to Cage and Claudio. Happy to see Nick get the win and revisit his match with Fenix, and no doubt give Fenix a fun, notable notch for his title reign."

[8.0] "The best match of the night and a competent three way by fantastic all-around workers. Brian Cage may be the token midcard heel and pinfall eater in most of these matches, but he works really well with most guys and this time was no different. It was also fun seeing Claudio in the ring with new people with whom he had never matched before. Nick Jackson picking up the win was a bit expected due the implication of him and Fenix revisiting their classic from four years ago. Not sure if they can do a repeat, but I am looking forward to seeing them try."

[6.0] "The match itself was very well worked out between the three opponents, keeping an eye on the screen at all times and being very exciting, but the decision to give this victory to Nick Jackson simply threw it all away for me, AEW only gets more complicated giving all this prominence to Elite members."

[9.0] "I love these mile-a-minute matches, but especially so when you have guys who are both so gifted and experienced. It would be impossible to recap all that happened here, but the choreography and athleticism here was off the charts. And Nick winning was the right choice; he and Nick have legendary chemistry together."
WrestleWire wrote on 28.09.2023:
[7.0] "This was an explosive, PWG-style three-way match between three wrestlers who helped make PWG what it is. Nick Jackson was phenomenal, bringing the fight to the bigger men and strategically picking his spots in doing so. Brian Cage and Claudio Castagnoli trading power spots was just plain outstanding, and I really hope we get to see them wrestle one-on-one at some point. Ideally multiple times. I thought the pacing here was excellent and it really captured the essence of the mania of a three way match. There was no rest period, as someone was always on the offensive and there was never a moment to truly catch your breath as a competitor. Plus, that finish was incredibly creative. I really, really enjoyed this. 3.75 stars, 7.5 out of 10. A damn good match that even flirted with greatness."
Michael Morbius wrote on 28.09.2023:
[8.0] "This was a great three way: Cage and Castagnoli were the powerhouses and Nick Jackson was the smallest man in the group so he had to try to outwork the two bigger guys with his speed and agility. Cage and Castagnoli's exchanges were very cool and Nick had some great high-flying offense and comebacks. The action was fast-paced and fun with some nice spots and a really cool ending where Nick stole the win from Castagnoli and won the match. 8/10 - 4*/5*"

[8.0] "As brilliant as Claudio and Nick are, this three-way was built around Cage, and his still wildly-impressive blend of power and agility. His F5 was incredible, as was his ability to get up for Claudio's powerbomb. Happy with the finish, even if Cage has dropped a few too many losses for my liking recently."

[7.0] "Great matches from three serious wrestlers. I liked the power fights of Claudio and Brian, but Nick with his high-speed wrestling was quite welcome. Everyone performed their functions and we saw a great show. Lots of reversals, spectacular combinations, and most importantly, intrigue. So it's definitely a great fight."

Not sure I would have Nick win against two singles guys but they did the finish well enough and I don't really care about Claudio and Cage anyway."

[7.0] "The match of the night, probably the weakest match that could be given that distinction in a good while of Dynamite, but the three men worked well together and the finish was what it needed to be. Claudio needs to be protected following his loss of the ROH title and this was a good way of achieving that."
Rocky7 wrote on 28.09.2023:
[7.0] "A three way PWG tribute featuring three former mainstays of that wonderful Reseda, CA promotion. This was for a shot at the International Championship on next week's 4th Anniversary Dynamite, and it ended up being Nick Jackson who would claim the shot, pinning Brian Cage. Claudio Castagnoli got his big swing in, on Cage no less to show how strong he is. I'd have had Castagnoli win this to rebound from his ROH World Championship loss last week, but Nick Jackson vs. Rey Fenix was a great match on the early episodes of Dynamite, so it'll be cool to revisit that next week."
