7 | 10.08.2025 | psychostar | 8.0 | This was on par with their previous TakeOver match -- another physical battle with both men delivering stiff shots. It felt similar in many ways, but there were some fresh moments, like Joe hitting a trio of nasty suplexes. Nakamura's no-selling of Joe's work on his leg was even more obvious here -- Joe spent several minutes targeting it, but Nakamura powered through with his usual strikes without any sign of pain. It was very noticeable and hurt the match's psychology. I was surprised by Joe's win here, and it seemed like most others were too. **** |

13 | 26.05.2025 | UltimoMuta | 9.0 | Hilariously underrated match in the golden era of NXT. At a time where the main events featured absolute pro wrestling giants; this rivalry was one of my favorites. Both two of my favorite wrestlers of all time and both being done proper justice in NXT before heading to the main and things not being what we hoped. But this right here? Absolute banger. Revisiting this match brung back some nostalgia for this era of NXT. Joe is a monster here and Nakamura is one of the most beloved stars in NXT history. There's dope strike exchanges here; Joe hunting submissions and my goodness that Chimera-Plex is a thing of beauty. Nakamura being relentless against Joe backfires on him, Joe gets busted open the hard way and we get an unexpected finish that see's Joe become the first ever 2-time NXT Champion. Crowd is electric. |

47 | 12.05.2024 | HugoRoids | 8.0 | This is the match they should have had at Brooklyn. This far exceeded their previous bout because they actually used their styles. Nakamura was delivering nasty kicks and knees and Joe focused on just beating the hell out of Nakamura. The action was much better in terms of impact and pacing like a true strong style match. This match does, however, have a big issue. Nakamura. I really like him but he kept it from being a possible 10. Joe was an absolute beast here and gave it his all with the targeting of Nakamuras leg, and yet Nakamura just doesnt sell it. It kind of took me out of it at times, and Im not one who pays a lot of attention to this kind of thing, but it was blatantly lazy here. Nakamura still looked good, but it kind of seemed like he didnt care that much. Joe, however, gave one of his best NXT performances. A much better follow up to a mid match with a genuinely shocking ending. Im glad Joe got to be the first ever two time NXT champion. |

I also wasn't expecting Joe to take the win here, but it was a welcome surprise during a time where the NXT Title had yet to have a 2-time champion. |

97 | 08.05.2022 | ihsadoj | | Good match. Love the finishing spot, makes Joe and Nakamura both look good. The welts on Joe's legs, and the color on his face sells this match, along with Nakamura's consistent leg selling. |
