[9.0] "This is awesome! This is awesome! A match that intertwined the past, present and future of the knockout division. This division was a breakthrough for women's wrestling in North America of the 21st century, the real pride of Impact Wrestling. Kong and Geil came out of retirement specifically for this big match and they still look awesome. But the match was not built only around them; the other participants also had the opportunity to prove themselves. An epic conclusion to the second night of Impact Wrestling 1000th episode."

Like previous matches, it allowed the active workers to carry the match while dealing with the vast history between these wrestlers while saving for the HUGE tag to Awesome Kong. Credit to Gail for taking that vicious bump and continuing to work and get the heat for her team. Loved this match."

[9.0] "Watching this match made me so nostalgic, especially seeing Awesome Kong making her return. Her run in 2007 & 2008 (her feuds with Gail Kim & Taylor Wilde & her title run in general) is one of my favorite times in wrestling. I hope Gail is OK, seemed like she got dinged up, but this match was extremely fun & a nice mix of nostalgia & action."

[8.0] "A wonderful way to combine past, present & future of the first major US TV women's division to give a shit about being good. Putting most of the legends on the face team just made sense, though I feel like a Kim/Kong staredown would've really gotten over. Kong clearly can only do so much at this point, but her presence is still totally there, and it was smart to build the whole match up to her getting the hot tag (her swatting Tasha before clashing with Evans was cool as hell). Before then though we got a lot of solid 5v5 tag action where the current stars got to shine like Trinity & Jordynne & Deonna, but to be honest Gail's FIP and comeback segments were the highlight. This is her first match in years and she looked like she was still one of the best women in the US here, working with multiple members of the heel team in a super smooth way, especially with Shaw. Speaking of the heel team, Love I think did a really good job when she was in there given she was the only member that represented Knockouts Past. All just really well-paced with a lot of callbacks and a good balance between celebration and legitimate contest, the buildup from the hot tag to Gail's dive to circle back to Kong & Shaw put a bow on it. Great stuff and a worthy main event for Impact 1000. ***3/4. Also good LORD Velvet Sky looked fantastic during the Beautiful People entrance but that's neither here nor there."

Gisele Shaw getting the 'she's right behind me' spot with Kong and then getting the Implant Buster was amazing. And don't act like we didn't see you looking at the belt, Mickie. Trin at the top of the division among the legends and the present feels right. A feelgood main event with the faces going over."

She apparently got clocked on the head but other than one moment before her dive, you could not tell. Again this was about having a slice of nostalgia and it did it well."

Kim and Purazzo are an interesting couple and I would watch their solo fight. And overall the legends look good. Except that Awesome Kong looks hard, because problems with his knees are visible to the naked eye. But nevertheless, it was a good team fight with a good pace and interesting combinations."
