[8.0] "This was the best match in the tournament in my opinion. The match told a good story of how well the two know each other, showing their brilliant chemistry and stealing each others moves. Loved the urgency from both men when time was running out and it was Bitter End with about 10 seconds left for Butch to win."
[8.0] "This was an awesome match and these two have awesome chemistry. There was some heavy hitting and these two just slugging it out. I love the sense of urgency when the two men heard that the time was running out. I would have been happy whoever won."
[5.0] "These two have insane chemistry but I didn't really care for this bout. They started off well and the opening exchanges how well these two knew each other but for a 12 minute match, they went off rails half way into the match with all the big moves without building to a crescendo. I know there is a time limit but NXT has had great TV matches go a similar length and not feel weirdly structured. Namely the series between Axiom and Frazer."
[8.0] "This match exceeded my expectations, Butch is usually slow and boring but he wasn't bad this time , Tyler has always been underrated and he can put on a great match with anyone , Tyler has never missed , Butch had a very boring match back in the day against Dominik which made me not like him , but this match against Tyler changed my mind. When Butch has his working shoes on , and he isn't slow and methodical he can go in that ring. Tyler helped Butch put on a fantastic match , it wasn't perfect but it was really damn good."
[7.0] "Very good match to start the show. Sadly, because of the rules of the tournament, It couldn't be longer, they deserved more time to work this out. Tyler Bate deserves a Main Roster run by now (but only if they use him properly! ), and Butch should fly higher there too. ***3/4."
[9.0] "The match was the highlight of this week's show, a definite candidate for NXT Match of the Year. It was the best NXT Heritage Cup Invitational showing alongside the Axiom vs. Butch match. Both competitors gave their all and made it look like a crucial main roster competition. I wouldn't mind if both of them had their chance to take Noam Dar for the championship at NXT No Mercy."
[8.0] "It's always a pleasure to watch these two compete against each other, and this was another worthy entry to their list of in-ring meetings. It was cool to see both men steal each other's moves, and I particularly liked Butch resorting to an alternate version of the Bitter End. It may not be the original version of the Better End, but the moment was still cool."
[6.0] "Pretty much theyr standard stuff. Some athleticism, some stricking, some cool moves, some decent reverseals but nothing really crazy, awesome or remarkable. Surely this two can't have have an awful match together, but this doesn't mean that everything they do is gold. ***1/4"
[7.0] "This felt like a short, sprint version of their previous matches. It was an excited match where the chemistry between the two was clearly evident. I thought it was interesting the way that Butch modified The Bitter End, too. Aside from the usual 'familiar opponent' spots there wasn't much depth here, though, and the strike exchange after the commercial break was just embarrassing. Fun match, but definitely not their best work."
[9.0] "when i see Tyler Bate vs Butch i think about they big stable, The british strong style and in this big fight is strong style and puro.I love to see Butch in NXT , in Main Roster he deserves better and Shawn give him this in NXT. Sad for Tyler Bate but he deserves to win the north america championship. [****)1/2"
[8.0] "Really good TV match between Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate. Dunne needed to win in order to advance to the tournament final, while Bate just needed to draw. These two have a long history facing one another and that was a big part of this match, with both guys being so familiar with each other they were able to see what was coming and counter it. They even used the other's tricks and finishers, which was a nice way of showing how desperate they were to get the win and made this match feel important. Dunne got the win with about 10 seconds to spare, and the two showed respect after a hard fought match. 8/10"
[8.0] "With all the rules surrounding comments on this site, I don't understand how 18 of the 20 folks rating this 9 or 10 have been able to do so without giving their reason. Anyway, lots to unpack here, as the attention to detail from these old rivals was terrific and the explosion of urgency after the time limit warning made the closing moments super dramatic ****"
[8.0] "Very good Tv match between 2 guys who know each other very well. I usually dont even watch NXT but decided to watch the first hour or so and caught this match and Im glad I did This match is really good. Even if you dont watch NXT Id recommend watching this one 4/5"
[8.0] "Let's be honest, these two didn't live up to their classic matches. But in the current conditions this was not expected from them. However, they still put on a great match with a lot of references and great execution. It was also a show of respect at the end, although we were not allowed to enjoy this, because it was more important for them to show an unnecessary segment with shopping. However, I got into this match and liked it."
[8.0] "For the first time in four years, these two went at it again in a very good match. I enjoyed the way both had each other scouted and were familiar with each others movesets enough to try some different tricks. They effectively teased a time limit as well especially with the fact that we have already seen one and the match got better as it got closer to the finish line. The result did surprise me a bit but Butch has been delivering when given the platform so it is not a result I am bothered by. The pump handle driver that Butch hit looked great for the ending as well."
