[8.0] "Another pretty fun match for this show. It really sucks that Fox got kicked out of The Mogul Embassy like right after joining it. However, I understand it considering Fox apparently didn't tell management he couldn't travel to London until after his match was announced."
[10.0] "My favorite pre PPV match from AEW this week, and suitably it's building up one of the matches I'm most excited about. Putting Darby in a match is pretty much a guarantee that the match will be fun. Put Strickland and Fox just ups the ante, and Nick Wayne has been growing on me as well. He's definitely 18 and his body can basically do anything, and what it's doing right now is mostly taking a beating and doing it really well. The chaos of this was very cool, the fights out into the crowd and all, the quick pace, and some of the moves were just brilliantly fun. I also really appreciated the urgency of the match, especially Darby who excels at that crucial factor but everyone really pulled hard here. I'm bummed Fox had to pull out of the All In show but I hope he stays heavily in the mix, he's too good to go back to the sidelines."
[6.0] "You really have to step over the line to make wrestling fans feel that the finish is just not something you can buy. MJF and Cole finished a match the other week with a double clothesline and I bought that. This was a bit too much. It's one thing to believe that Darby can take one hell of a beating, but now his partner and protege can too, jumping up and running off like he's fine. It dilutes Darby's gimmick and asks for a little too much suspension of disbelief. Swerve needs to get away from factions for a while. All of this jumping between factions and members is doing him more harm than good. He never needed it. Other than that and a rushed dud of an ending for the AR Fox story, this was action-packed enough to be entertaining."
[6.0] "Surprised at how many high ratings there are for this. A few cool spots for sure, I loved AR Fox's corkscrew brainbuster and the double dives to the outside were fun, but otherwise it was mostly Wayne getting beaten up. Not a tonne to see here. ***1/4"
[9.0] "This is mostly just a storytelling match setting up the coffin match at All In. I might have expected them to take it easy so as to avoid injury at Wembley Stadium but on the contrary these guys all go balls-to-the-wall. There are a few spots in particular that jolted me out of my seat including AR Fox hitting Nick Wayne with some kind of bomb out of the corner and Darby with an insane (even by his standards) suicide dive into Swerve."
[7.0] "Enjoyed it, if not blown away. Some very good heel work from Swerve and Fox, and obviously Darby and Nick Wayne are always out there giving it their all. Needs to be said, the Fox angle at the end was stupid. If it doesn't get further explored or be some kind of bigger angle, I don't understand nuking his character progression like this at all. And Darby looks like an idiot hugging him so soon after what he did."
[5.0] "This was less of a match and more of a brawl that advanced the Swerve/Darby storyline. I'm enjoying it, since Swerve plays a great villain and the post-match segments and promos have been consistantly entertaining. I just wish there was a little more restraint in how this plays out on TV, with less brawls and more traditional ringwork while saving the craziness for Wembly. Darby continues to kill himself on weekly TV for our entertainment with a terrifying coffin drop and a nasty bump against the commentary desk, and Nick Wayne seems keen on doing the same, throwing himself from the apron, ramming into the barricade, ect. It's overkill at times because I still haven't seen Wayne do a regular match and I think showcasing him in that environment first would have made for a better story than throwing him into this style from the getgo and having him adapt to it almost flawlessly. Darby accepting AR Fox as a friend after he tried to literally murder Nick Wayne at his house a few weeks ago on was ridiculous. Why did Wayne just stand there and accept that?"
[8.0] "Fast paced and keep me intersted throughout the entirety of the match. Despite being under ten minutes this match kept me invested the entire time and the progression of story for AR Fox made up for the lack of match time. I hope this leads to AR continuing to be in a prominent storyline on television and not being dropped soon after the story ends. The build of Fox has been somewhat rocky since joining full time but I feel like it has built him up enough with fans who may have not known him when signing with AEW and has become over quickly in a short period of time. I look forward to where this story leads and hope it doesn't wind up with Fox taking more pins for long as he could fun in a serious tag team or if built properly from here even in the TNT title picture."
[8.0] "I love that Nick Wayne is getting a spot on the schedule now that the big Wembley event is coming up and it's no wonder that pairing him with Darby Allin adds up. I really like how they are developing Swerve too, also AR Fox even if he goes more unnoticed."
"[5] Lots of dives and a brawl around the arena. I didn't really feel it. The Swerve stomp from the apron to Darby in the chair was a nice way of getting to the underdog in peril spot. Dwayne popped up much too quickly after his beating, a groggy roll up would have told the story much better. Loved the Swerve promo, he's money, and the Cristian stuff was great to. Derby and Nick accepting AR, after he started the match wearing a shirt soaked in Nick's blood from an assault, is fucking stupid."
[6.0] "This was weird. I might have missed where they said this was No DQ/Tornado Tag and it's not listed on this site as such so who knows. But the brawling was good. The sequence at the end with Nick Wayne was just too much for me. They're trying really hard to make him a thing and it's not hitting for me. Post-match stuff was some of the dumbest stuff in AEW but Christian salvaged it."
[7.0] "The brawl through the crowd was wild and it felt like a proper grudge fight. Some of the flippy stuff was explosive, while other moments were overcooked and convoluted. Did there need to be another twist & turn angle before Sunday? Probably not ***1/2"
[7.0] "I thought it was good. God, the way this site works does my nut in some times. I thought it was a 7 out of 10. I just want to tag it as a 7 out of 10. Here are several more characters describing it; Good, Interesting, Solid, Nick Wayne's Mum, Swerve's golden teeth"
[6.0] "I referred to the opener as a 'mixed bag', but I think that was the case even moreso here. This match had higher highs, but it also had lower lows. The spot on the apron was sloppy, and the double team forward roll spot was pretty awful. But other parts of this match were really exciting and a lot of fun. The finish ended up feeling abrupt and lead to a terrible and nonsensical post-match... This was really just all over the place. At least it was never boring? Entertaining, but very flawed."
[8.0] "Very good match: super fun and chaotic brawl with lots of great spots and moments. Wayne's double cutter on the floor was awesome as well as Darby's coffin drop. Sw3rve and Fox are incredible and make every move look fantastic. Wasn't a huge of the ending, tho: Wayne took something 3 finishers and then, outta nowhere, gets back up like nothing and pins Fox. The post-match was awesome, Ar Fox being pulled out of Mogul Embassy was a shame because he was looking great in that role but Sw3rve promo was fantastic and it made sense. Then Christian Cage shows up and cuts a wonderful on Nick Wayne's father. This man is one of the best things in Aew right now and deserves to be on such a big event. 8/10 - 4*/5*"
[8.0] "Tornado tags on Dynamites always seem to deliver. Some of the best-looking dives to the outside you'll see in a 10-minute TV match are in this match, including that shooting star from Fox and Darby's absolute ragdoll into the commentary desk that broke the damn thing. They really did a lot more than I expected here, but that's because it ended up being that both Wayne & Fox wouldn't be in the next tag instead of just Wayne. Darby & Swerve still have excellent chemistry whenever they get going, but I do think the finishing stretch of Nick showing his guts with blood on his face and eking a win away from Fox was well-done, though I could get if people consider it overkill. Really fun match that is a preview of the insanity of Wembley. ***3/4"
