You get very old school wrestling from both guys, the crowd here was clearly more into Duke than Allen. It's just basic grappling at the end of the day, and of course Allen gets a TV DQ win."

[5.0] "Pete Doherty just won't go away. He'll probably rush out and ruin the night with commentary later. But he's got Jerry Allen as his opponent here, and Jerry is an underrated talent who never got a big shot anywhere and would retire less than a year after this match. Doherty, however, would hang around a few more years and be available as a quick squash to guys like Akeem and Kerry Von Erich before finally hanging it up for good. So this match basically means nothing as neither guy has much of a future ahead of them in wrestling. Still, it was fun seeing Doherty overly animated and getting defeated, even if it was by DQ."
