[8.0] "There is nothing I enjoy more in my pro wrestling that a match with high stakes that feels like a struggle and fight and these two brought it. This was cracking stuff and probably the best singles I have ever seen from Kamifuku. Good atmosphere to it. ***3/4"
[8.0] "Well I'll be damned. Even as Kamifuku had won a great upset in the previous round, here I was thinking I would see another uninteresting Tatsumi main event where she wins, just waiting for the show to end. But somehow during the match I noticed that I was witnessing the BEST DAMN Kamifuku match I had ever seen. She brought out the same vicious, SERIOUS performance as against Watanabe which had made me giggle at Watanabe's defeat. I even started buying her winning possibilities as the match went on. And she hit her finisher, I thought "this is perfect". It was great. This match made me finally a Kamifuku fan. How I loved to see her doing something more than her usual small part. Wrestling gods have indeed blessed TJPW!"
[6.0] "Why is Kamiyu a pushed act over people like Suzume and Arisu Endo? This promotion has such weird choices on pushes and champions it really baffles me. Match was decent, Kamiyu is pretty mid and I love Rika but unfortunately her good leg work went to waste because Kamiyu cannot sell a leg. Goes without saying, wrong winner."
[8.0] "Rika Tatsumi's leg pressure and persistent counters forced Yuki Kamifuku to adapt and improve her signature offense. I was impressed by the ingenuity of both wrestlers, there were some spots I had never seen before, such as Kamiyu's victory roll on a kneeling Tatsumi. The match featured a lot of clever counterplay, solid execution and a convincing surprise finish. ****"
[7.0] "Had a feeling Kamiyu would shock the world again here after she defeated Miu in this year's quarterfinals, and I had suspected she inherited Watanabe's spot from last year where she made the Cinderella run to the finals. The one knock on this match is that I think more could have been done in Kamiyu selling the leg, since ring psychology is such an important component in Rika's big matches. Nonetheless, this was still a very good match with the crowd fully invested in seeing Kamiyu get the win."
[8.0] "An emotional slow burn that surprised me. Yeah, the leg selling was spotty but everything else about this match made it enjoyable for me. Kamiyu is on her way up and while I don't see her winning the cup, she is definitely facing Rika for the IPC belt."
[8.0] "Really good match with an unexpected outcome. Rika Tatsumi is the best wrestler in the promotion and really helped to structure this together so by the end the crowd was fully invested. Kamiyu put in a good effort to match up to that, with some great moves like a jumping famouser. It could have been a bit quicker to get into the thick of the action."
[7.0] "A good main event that was a bit of a slow burn, but got really good as it went on. None of that really matters though, since the bottom line is that Kamiyu is a finalist in a major tournament and that is a massive W on TJPW's part. She has zero chance of beating Miyu, but the sheer fact that she is getting the chance is big enough for me. Please swerve us Koda, give Kamiyu the win in the final."
[5.0] "This was a solid match but Rika tried everything to make this good. Rika's match structure always features a lot of leg work and she did it in this match as well, but Kamiyu ignored it and didn't sell it at all here, which made this entire structure pointless. On the positive side of course is the crowd being totally being Kamifuku trying to get the upset and in the end getting it in a fun finishing sequence. Her being in the final is a shock, I don't know in a good or bad way, but it's at least something different. Overall a solid match"
[8.0] "Great match between these two. It took a bit to get going but was then a flurry of classic Rika submissions and big famousers. Rika has been on an absolutely phenomenal run over the last year, she's probably the best in TJPW at the moment, and Kamiyu really stepped up here. The leg selling was a bit weak but other a really good performance from her, some Kamiyu career work here. I'm excited to see the final and see what Miyu brings out of her. Overall some great chemistry here with a great finishing stretch."
