[6.0] "Good quick match between these two. There's a nice clash of styles with the quicker Yuki Yoshioka and the more technical based Timothy Thatcher, like in Jake Lee vs Yuki Yoshioka, it tells a nice story. Even if Yuki Yoshioka isn't as good as Tim Thatcher when it comes to technical wrestling, he shows that he can keep up with him at the beginning. At the end, Yoshioka surprises Thatcher with a quick flash pin and get the win. ***1/4"
[7.0] "I expected almost nothing, but it was really pretty good, and I'm glad, because Tim recently didn't do so well, and I started to think that he's not able to shine in Japan anymore. Both wrestlers demonstrated good work from their side, and the only was for Yoshioka was a sudden win."
[7.0] "An unexpectedly good match between these two, I've even lost faith lately that Thatcher can do that. Yoshioka was a good and convincing underdog in this match, and Timothy pleased with his expression of a dangerous predator. From this side, the method of victory turned out to be absolutely logical (***1/4)."
[7.0] "A short opening match with an abrupt but not unsatisfying finish, perfectly good for its place on the card. It involved a lot of grappling as you would expect from a Timothy Thatcher match but there was some striking too. This warmed the crowd up nicely ***1/4"
[7.0] "Yoshioka had answers for everything that Thatcher threw at him, but he wasn't really getting closer to winning. Just when it started to feel like Thatcher will eventually overwhelm Yoshioka, Yoshioka to roll-up and pin Thatcher out of nowhere. Another smartly structured match by Yoshioka, 3/3 in this tournament for him in that regard."
[7.0] "This was my favourite Thatcher match so far, and Yoshioka match for that matter, though I have seen less of Yoshioka. The Korakuen crowd were into Yoshioka from the beginning, and I thought that this was timed just right for a Thatcher match for me; just long enough for his grappling and striking to still be interesting while Yoshioka got to show off his striking more than his grappling. The surprise pin win was nice, as I dont recall seeing that in the tournament thus far. A good match."
