[4.0] "Kota Ibushi's first match in Japan for a while. He returned with the gimmick he developed for AEW's Blood and Guts, "Man who stinks up big matches." His biggest spot in this match, a moonsault off of the entrance way's overhang, was maybe the worst spot I'd seen all year, taking an age to get climb up the stairs, rile up the crowd, climb onto the overhang, rile up the crowd, all while the 9 other men just stood and watched. Like come on lads at least brawl or sell something or anything! In ring from everyone else was just incredibly simple multi-man tag stuff, fast paced and hard hitting at times but definitely overlong. This visual of Shuji Ishikawa towering over everyone was definitely something though. But the fact that this match got 35 minutes while the excellent uwf rules got less than 9 is disgusting. Absolutely disgusting."

[6.0] "This match sure was something. Between the participants and just the overall layout of the match, it was a bit of a mixed bag. Kota Ibushi is very clearly still working his way back from his injuries and does not appear to be in very good shape. Shuji Ishikawa and Daisuke Sekimoto are both pretty washed at this point as well. The GLEAT team really shined, in my opinion, and they made the most of their opportunities on this high profile show against high profile opponents."

[6.0] "This was a fairly fun mess of a match. I've only watched Ibushi before from this lineup, as far as I can remember, and man did he look sluggish. He had no fire in anything he did. I won't comment on his body because he's in his 40s and has had a lot of injuries, but something needs to change with him fast. I was impressed with Lindaman, Ishikawa, and even Daisuke, despite his sloppiness at points. I had fun watching this but I can't really recommend it unless you're a big fan of several guys in this match not named Ibushi and want to see them interact."

[7.0] "My first exposure to most of these guys, so I'll just hit some generalizations. Match started off sluggish, IMO because of Kota Ibushi who spent a lot of time grandstanding but was moving at half speed and is clearly still struggling from health issues. His leap off the ledge was a case of the juice not being worth the squeeze, given the lengthy setup. I'd be happy to see him forgo any more high flying and just rebrand as a grounded powerhouse. The GLEAT guys got some great shine, particularly near the end. The tiny Hulk Hogan had some great power moments, and the last man remaining (Ishida? ) ended up being really sympathetic. On the other team, Hagane had some fun high speed spots. Overall it was rough at times, and pretty long, but still worth watching."

"Bro that guy was large as hell and the rest were tiny and so incredibly fast i had to check if i was watching in 1.5x speed, never seen GLEAT before, will watch again, definitely enjoyed this 10 man tag - was a fun watch definitely + Came for Kota Ibushi, staying for Soma Watanabe"

[10.0] "HOLY SHIT. This is everything I love in pro wrestling, with a who's who of great Japanese indie wrestlers, the most prominent name of course being Kota Ibushi as he returns to a japanese ring for the first time since his injury. Insane amount of talent in one ring, and by the time it's down to the last two men you'll be on the edge of your seat."

[8.0] "Everybody did their part, and, quite well to such an extent, that it is perhaps GLEAT's best mainstream match that they have ever produced so far. Everyone from the veterans of yesteryears such as Sekimoto, Ishikawa and Shinno to the members of the new generation, being Check, Ishida and Soma; each person did their job to represent their pro wrestling abilities and their styles. We are to expect El Lindaman vs. Ibushi after this, so, let's just hope it is as good as this, if not better. Good job, lads; a pint to yous."

[8.0] "Great match. The work at the start of the match left me unimpressed - mostly due to Ibushi who looked terrible out there. He was constantly working in slow-motion, but at least the work of his teammates Sekimoto and Ishikawa lifted up the match a lot for me. The GLEAT team on the other hand was very impressive, especially Kaito Ishida - who carried an impressive finishing stretch, even kicking out of a Kamigoye. The match was messy at times but got great towards the end. If we've had pre-injury Ibushi here, I'm sure this match would at least be 1 rating higher. I hope he returns to form soon, because there are a ton of exciting matchups waiting in the GLEAT ring."

[8.0] "I decided to check out GLEAT for the first time since Ibushi was in this and I thought it was pretty good. It was nice to see a few familiar faces in Sekimoto, Hagane and El Lindaman. It definitely wasn't the most coordinated ten man I've seen and there was some miscommunication at different parts of the match. Sekimoto especially looked like he was waiting for a move to happen 5 seconds before it hit him. Ibushi looked a bit better than at Blood & Guts. In the first 10 minutes, he moonsaulted off a balcony in classic Ibushi fashion. The stars of the match were El Lindaman and Kaito Ishida. El Lindaman ran wild, throwing around dudes twice his size, while Ishida had a nice building rivalry with Ibushi that culminated in the final 1v1. Him kicking out of the Golden Star Powerbomb AND the Kamigoye was super unexpected and made him look like a million bucks. Overall a bit of a mess, but also a really fun match. ****"

[9.0] "Excellent match. Both are all star teams, with each wrestler getting a time to shine. Although all came out of the match looking good Kaito Ishida came out looking the best. Throughout the match Ishida was snipping at Ibushi, even when Ibushi was trying to submit Check he was going after Ibushi, with little interest in protecting his tag partner. This made Ishida quite untrustworthy and heelish despite being on the hometeam. Despite this, they managed to create a lot of sympathy for him when he was the last of the GLEAT team left, his strikes had no effect on the remaining Ibushi or the giant Shuji Ishikawa, he got battered and was tense, as it felt the GLEAT team would fall to the last two of Ibushi's team, however, Ishida got the roll up pin of Ishikawa and went toe to toe with Ibushi - throughout the ending segment it felt like Ishida would get the win, he even kicked out of Gold Star Bomb and Kamigoye, but he eventually took the pin to Ibushi. This was worthwhile bringing in Ibushi, he felt like a big deal, and helped make Ishida feel like a massive deal. Would love to see Daisuke Sekimoto and Shuji Ishikawa in GLEAT again, both looked great in this match, and there are many matches they could have. My main two issues was that the stage dive spot felt a bit contrived, as the GLEAT team did not fight being brought to the stage. The second is that while Takanori Ito looked great, he felt like an afterthought, and issue in GLEAT, as even though he won the UWF Title, he lost it on his first defence for no reason, and he did not get much of a shine to remedy this. **** 1/2"
