[6.0] "(Grade:C-) For this being Cody second match Post WWE Release, it was fine! I enjoyed the stuff they did outside in the beginning and after that I felt they were stalling for time to figure out their next moves and were playing too much with the crowd though the Dusty Head Cutout was a Nice gag to see. Also its funny seeing Galloway interfere in the main event which is crazy foreshadowing to current day events lol."

[7.0] "Pretty good match between Rhodes and Hero right here in what was one of Rhodes' first matches after being released from his contract with WWE and just seeing the crowd reaction for him here you knew you were in for a special run, the crowd was so loud for him every time he did something and in reality he did very little except a few moves, a few small comebacks and bumped for Hero severely. Hero who was the aggressive and vicious heel we know, even taking a sign with Dusty's head to hit Cody with, still one of the best in terms of heel psychology. They did the bare minimum to make it cool I'd say, but at no point did it transcend me either, both did a very solid job but it was maybe too long and the not clean ending didn't help that either. So it was fun but it's not a must-see match to be honest."

[5.0] "This match had much promises, but only partially delivered on them. The match had a big time atmosphere and really got the crowd going, but the dliberately slow-pace and stalling meant they never clicked in higher gear and stayed firmly in their comfort zone. The impromptu Dusty Rhodes reference started hokey but ended up with genuine respect, finding a fair place inside the match. The biggest mark against the match is the ending, with a counterointuitive ending running against common wisdom, followed by a noticeably weak final blow, leaving a sour taste for the viewe. Not a bad match by any means, but it is frustrating to think how much more enjoyable it could have been if properly structured."

[8.0] "A lot of brawling and back-and-forth with very clear face/heel dynamics in this one. I went into this expecting something good and actually got something pretty great out of it. Hero laid in his shots hard on Cody, as if to welcome him to the indies, and Cody actually managed to strike back pretty effectively as they brawled around the building. The impromptu use of a Dusty cutout was a good call by Hero for heat, although I respect Cody asking him not to rip it or anything; the spot was good, but most importantly it didn't get taken TOO far. The finish was also a good, simple heelish finish to protect both guys. Great brawl and very much superior to Cody's first indie match the previous night. ****"

Chris Hero put on a fantastic performance, he was being a total dick to Cody, and it made for an awesome dynamic between the 2. Cody performed very well against the best wrestler in the independent scene - and quite possibly in the whole world. Great match. ****"

[7.0] "A good, not great Chris Hero match where Hero looked like a much bigger star, this match fufilled expectations, but did not exceed them, with Cody Rhodes looking like he was trying to hard to be indy with his high fiving the entire crowd and what not. 3 1/2 stars."
