[7.0] "Surprisingly quite enjoyed this! Chase Owens every so often can pull of a fun closing exchange and this was exactly that. Tsuji getting the win was the right call too. ***1/2"
[5.0] "I watched this twice because I thought I missed something during the first viewing. This is just a fine match to me that just made Tsuji get made a fool of by one of the lowest heavyweights on the roster. I get that they were going for the experience Owens using his knowledge to stay on top but, this didn't feel like a good time to do that. This should have been an easier match for Tsuji to establish he deserves to be higher up the card than Chase Owens. **3/4"
[7.0] "Solid match. Told a clear story of Tsuji getting his first win as he becomes acclimated and needs to overcome a wily veteran. Chase puts in admirable work here, match is clean and straightforward, and Tsuji gets a powerful comeback for a decisive win."
[9.0] "The rating of this match is a fucking joke, where half of the users are annoyed by the hype about Tsuji, and half pretend that if Owens is mediocre, then he is always mediocre. It was the perfect match for Yota's first win, I hated the fact that Chase would be the first loser at his hands, but they managed to sell this match so that Yota looked like a monster who needed to find himself to act and pose a threat. Every piece of the match was cool and useful, they never strayed from the wrestling training manual, and in the end, when it was really necessary to summarize everything, they did it without a single miscalculation and botch. Just a fancy ending. This match is better than half of what are called masterpieces and MOTYC here (****1/4)."
[8.0] "This actually was the very first win for Tsuji in a singles match after his return to excursion, and it felt like the crowd knew it and they wanted to see it. Owens also stepped up his game and did a good job being a formidable enough opponent for Tsuji to overcome to make Tsuji work for this win, so overall everyone involved did their part to make this match work. ***1/2"
[4.0] "There are moments where this hinted at being good but then I remember that Chase Owens had a considerable amount of offence in this match and thats just unacceptable. **1/4"
[7.0] "Probably one of the best Chase Owens' performances I've ever seen, he played the coky heel role perfectly here and did some good moves. The final stretch was great, they showed good chemistry there and finally Tsuji gets the win. ***1/4"
[6.0] "This might be Chase Owen's career match. He came to play in this one, he and Tsuji really seemed to click here and Owens was obviously trying his hardest."
[8.0] "Well, I thought this would have been a complete abortion but they delivered an incredible final segment and in general the match was good, no doubts that's the best Owens' match of the tournament so far. ***3/4"
[7.0] "Enjoyed this one. I really wanted to see Tsuji pick up his first G1 victory, so that helped. His offense was typically unpredictable and looked great."
[6.0] "I was pretty bored with this match for the most part, since it was a typical Owens match in which he guides the pace without regard for entertainment. However, that last long sequence was a thing of beauty and made me understand why A Block participants had so much praise for Owens' work. I'm also glad Tsuji finally got a singles win. I really like that guy, I'm not sure why, but at this point I expect him to be my absolute favorite wrestler in five years or so. Bland match for the most part, but amazing ending."
