[8.0] "When you see either of these teams in a typical tag encounter, it's least expected to be solid entertainment. Here, all are put in the same ring and there is no shortage of adrenaline for the fans. Even though the movements were frenzy and the pace was well maintained, certain moments depicted that these lads held back a bit rather than delivering the best. Aussie Open was on a hot streak at this phase so strapping the rockets on them made a lot of sense. 3.75 out of 5 stars!"
[8.0] "A damn fine 4-way spotfest but not the best work of each man involved. They kept up the pace from spot to spot and had a few fun moments which is all this match needed to do, but they also incorporated a really interesting twist with Fenix going along with Penta's heelish tendencies for once to screw over Best Friends only to still lose their titles. I found that to be a really cool wrinkle in this and a good way to get the belts onto Aussie Open pretty quickly without devaluing the other teams. Kingdom barely mattered besides playing the most overt heels here, but I do find myself enjoying watching Bennett in fast-paced matches. Chuck hugging Trent over Maria was just great stuff too. ***3/4+"
[8.0] "What a great match. All the teams have their moment to shine and they didn't disappoint. Aussie Open wasn't my first choice to win the match, since Mark Davis just return from injury, but I'm glad they did and it was well deserved."
[8.0] "A fight that even though my favorites were Lucha Brothers the truth is that justice was done in the wrestling world, finally Aussie Open gets something in ROH and I hope they use them well going forward."
[7.0] "As expected a very quick paced spots-filled multi man tag match. It was good for what it was, with some nonsense here and there. The Aussie Open were absolutely the right winners for this. ***1/2"
[9.0] "A hurricane match. After the previous two, this show feels like a second wind. Great performers, great performance. Especially this chaotic but so fucking cool ending that kept me in suspense even when I knew the winners beforehand. I won't say it's the best team match I've ever seen, but it's one of the best for sure."
[8.0] "Multi man tag match as expected, fast pace and good spots and sequences given by the number of participants, happy for the Aussie Open victory (****1/4)"
[6.0] "This was exactly the sort of over-the-top multi-man spotfest I expected, but it thankfully managed to fall on the side of being 'good' more so than just being wholly generic and forgettable. That was mostly because of Aussie Open, since both Davis and Fletcher are so explosive and compliment each other so well as tag partners that they impressed every single time they got in, even with their slightly more 'indyriffic' moments. The Lucha Bros still seem to only really do the same set of tag spots they've been doing for the last 3 years, but they still manage to execute them quite well, so I didn't mind seeing them do their usual dual superkicks, double-stomp-assisted packpage piledeiver, rolling 69 into jumping DDT, etc. I just did my best to shut my mind off and enjoy the action-packed spectacle of it all. Even Taven and Bennett were impressive here as the annoyingly cheap heels who constantly cut off the various babyfaces and tried to apply a real beatdown that would often halt the match's break-neck pace, and they did so while still managing to have their own moments of impressive athleticism and physicality. Best Friends... I don't know. They still reek of that sickening "irony-bro" mentality from their PWG days, especially Taylor, who is so rote with his spots and who never puts up a serious attitude, making it impossible to care for anything he does. Even Trent always has an air "I'm feeling a little silly today" whenever he gets in the ring, but at least his offence looks far more impactful and physical. Their tag spots and their big hug spots are still very forgettable, though. The match obviously went the route of becoming a pretty overkill series of spots ones after the other, with quite obvious cooperation and some needless no-selling, all for the sake of allowing everyone to hit their 1000 spots in the exact short period they had laid out. There still managed to be some impressive moments throughout that, though, mostly from Aussie Open and Lucha Bros. I also enjoyed the big moments at the end where Best Friends and Lucha Bros were turning on each other to try steal the win, with Lucha Bros appearing to fully turn heel as they used a steel chair. The fact that that didn't lead to either Lucha Bros or even The Kingdom getting the win was confusing, though, since we still got the feel-good finish of Aussie Open winning, so there's less annoyance behind Lucha Bros' heel turn compared to if they retained the titles as heels or if we got the unexciting, full-heel team of The Kingdom as champs. Good match anyways, though definitely really mindless. ***1/4"
[7.0] "I didn't know why BF were in this match or really why Lucha Bros are in ROH now but whatever, it made for a fun fourway. Good to see Mark Davis healed up and right back in the mix."
[7.0] "A very spot heavy match to end a very underwhelming tag title reign for Lucha Brothers. I appreciated trying to keep the legal man in play but after a point it just felt like the rules completely went out the window. The superplex to the pile on the floor is a spot that Trent has now been doing for over 12 years which is kind of crazy. I felt Kingdom/Aussie Open were the main gel that held the match together but LB and BF did have their moments. The random heel was from LB toward the end was also odd. Best match of the main show to this point but it would be nice to get a tag title match that isnt a multi team mess."
[7.0] "I kind of feel bad for The Kingdom being the only full-fledged ROH tag team and still getting passed on but I can't complain about Aussie Open winning. Best Friends definitely felt like filler here but are always good."
"This match was great from start to finish with every team getting a chance to showcase their moves. The crowd getting hot, also improved the match. Loved the result and let's hope Aussie Open have a great reign (****1/4)"
[10.0] "This was an incredible tag match with Lucha Bros vs Best Friends vs Kingdom vs Aussie Open here. Its great to see Mark Davis back in action as a part of Aussie Open again!"
[9.0] "Great action-packed four-way tag match right here with all these great performers, great workers and above all great tag teams who gave it their all to bring us a spotfest worthy of the name, there's something about the four-way around the ROH Tag Team titles as we'd already seen with the Ladder one a few months ago and this one was just as crazy in another style. Spots everywhere, big moves, orderly sequences and above all a perfect result, Aussie Open are back baybay."
[8.0] "They just went balls-to-the-wall right from the opening bell, and I loved every second of it. The crowd was hot for this because it was complete chaos, specifically in the second half. Everyone got time to showcase themselves, we had great interactions, and this was fantastic."
[9.0] "Awesome match. Super fast paced with awesome spots. Totally lived up to my expectations. I would've preferred The Kingdom to win, only because I want to see Aussie Open on AEW television more often, but I'm still happy they won. (****1/2)"
[8.0] "I haven't seen much Ring of Honor lately but seeing the partecipants of this match I was very intrigued and I decided to watch it hoping I could have a good time and the match didn't dissapoint, lots of great spots and exchanges, fast-paced action and plenty of fun. Every team shined, loved the superplex outside on the other wrestlers and the Maria Kanellis/Trent Beretta hug spot. 8/10 - 4.25*/5*"
