If the first match between them was 90% Vikingo and 10% Kenny, this was 90% Kenny and 10% Vikingo. Wish we had another match between them, where it would be 50-50 and the match ends at a time limit draw."

AAA's production really took away from this match, the camera work was all over the place, the lighting was hideous, and the sound quality of the recording was barely passable for a small indie show, let alone a major show on ppv. I'm glad Vikingo got his win over Omega, but they never got into 3rd gear in this match."

[7.0] "Way more toned down than their Dynamite match. Storywise, it was for good reason. Kenny has faced Vikingo before and knows what's coming and what to expect but it does take away from the match a bit. Simply because it was slower and more methodical. Which is fine but here it just made the match a little more boring. [***3/4]"

[9.0] "Story telling wise this was a great sequal to their Dynamite match. Now that Kenny knows Vikingo's game, he's much more able to avoid and ground Vikingo. It's built around Omega keeping Vikingo grounded and Vikingo getting some hope spots until he can put Kenny away at the end. They do a lot of spots from their previous match, but with the other man escaping because they've seen it before, which I think is clever and at this point, is a trade mark of Omega. Good heel work from Omega with the helmet, signing autographs mid-match, and not letting Vikingo fly. However, this match is hurt because of the expectations set by the first match. Their first match was so wild and fun that the slower and smarter pace of this match makes it feel a lot slower. Everything looks good and its a very smart wrestled match, just not what was expected."

mansfim wrote on 25.07.2023:

[9.0] "I love that this was so distinctive from their AEW encounter, with Kenny in Tokyo Dome mode brutalising the champ & repeatedly cutting off his fiery comebacks. Once Vikingo eventually hit his stride, it went ballistic & even the flippy shit hit super hard ****1/2"
Michael Morbius wrote on 19.07.2023:
[8.0] "Not as good as their first match but still great: Omega was much more in control than he was in the first match and dictated the pace in the early goings. Vikingo had some comebacks but Omega was always able to counter and hit some high impact moves. Vikingo then started to hit some of signature moves, including a sick poison 'rana from the top rope and a 630 senton that got him the win. Omega is 0-4 in big matches without Don Callis. 8/10 - 4.25*/5*"

Unshavenhobo wrote on 19.07.2023:
[8.0] "Very good match, though it was clear that Kenny was playing it far safer than usual in anticipation of his upcoming reunion with ibushi. No rise of the terminator, no finding ways to take regular moves as head and neck bumps. It was nice to see that he is still capable of having an exciting and engaging match while minimizing risks. Hijo del Vikingo was excellent as always and comes up with something new every time i see him."
Wright15 wrote on 18.07.2023:
[10.0] "While their AEW match had more spectacular spots, the storytelling and psychology in this was superior. Omega treated Vikingo like an afterthought early on, but he paid for his cockiness as the match continued, as he got hit by the 630 but somehow kicked out - the first person I have seen do so against Vikingo. Omega then became desperate to one-up Vikingo's incredible high-flying. So desperate, in fact, that his downfall was marked by going to the top rope to try to hit Ibushi's Phoenix Splash. Brilliant work by both guys. ****3/4"

[8.0] "Felt this was just under their AEW match on the terms of quality wise. Also the production quality really bogged this one down for me. Obviously these 2 men did insane stuff throughout and was the best match of the show but overall I just liked it because of Kenny. Just Kenny's demeanor the intire night. Idk what was in that Tijuana water he was drinkin but dude was geekin and I loved it. Solid 4and1/2*"

The sense of a dream match being gone hurt it as they'd already wrestled before but the work was also just substantially less engaging and the result was never in any real meaningful doubt."

[8.0] "I still like the AEW match better. It didn't have the same fuse, and I don't really know why. Maybe the ring set up? Idk, but they have good chemistry and with any other worker this would be considered the best match of their career. But for Omega and Vikingo it was just saturday. Not bad, but not stellar considering the star power."

[8.0] "No better than the fight they had a few months ago on AEW, but it was a very good title fight. For those who were saying Kenny Omega would win it was clear they had no idea what they were talking about. The Canadian wasn't going to win for the sake of the Son of the Viking storyline. Another time would be another time, if ever."

coppercowries wrote on 16.07.2023:
[8.0] "A good match, with some funny moments. Not as good as the dynamite match. This had a very different feel, with Kenny in control and heeling it up, and had more character work rather than a balls.out showcase for Vikingo like the first. Favorite spot was the autograph signing. Kenny puts Vikingo over clean. Really feels like he's choosing his successors as his big match bump card winds down - first Ospreay, then Vikingo, and soon Takeshita."

In Dynamite everything was more explosive because they wanted to show HDV to the world. I really enjoyed this match, the counters, the air moves, and the funny moments like when Kenny autographed a fan's stuffed lion"

[9.0] "Terrible camerawork and poor mics for the crowd aside, this was an awesome match. I don't think it reached their Dynamite match, but seeing as that's one of the most spectacular matches of the year so far, it's not a bad thing. Kenny was really entertaining since he brought out his "heel only in Mexico" gimmick for this, signing autographs on Vikingo's back and wearing his helmet. Vikingo once again showed off a lot of his amazing athleticism. The match as a whole was structured as more of an even match the than first one and let Vikingo show a bit more range as a babyface fighting from underneath. Kenny keeps adding to his 2023 WOTY case, not only by having the best matches, but by being selfless and putting over new stars like Vikingo cleanly. ****1/4"
ISimon1912 wrote on 16.07.2023:
[8.0] "The structure of the match was more consistent than the match in AEW, but this one lacks memorable moments, a good crowd and mainly a decent production, in certain moments the match seemed to be being recorded by a fan's cell phone and that hurt a lot in the final immersion, it surprised me a lot to see Vikingo beating Omega cleanly and that was the most positive point of this match (****1/4)"

EternalEpure wrote on 16.07.2023:
[7.0] "The production of this show absolutely tanked and let down this match. I feel so bad for Kenny and Vikingo here because good god was this some of the worst production on a major match I've ever seen. Audio mixing was horrible. Camera work was not great, often shots way too close to competitors. I swear there must've been 1000 camera cuts in this damn match. They'd cut like 3 times in one damn move. They even were doing camera cuts in the kick outs so you could barely even tell if they kicked out or not. Also constantly cutting to the screen because of advertisements, sometimes completely missing spots. Production completely ruined any ability to get into the match and almost made it completely unwatchable. I wish I could go higher on this match because these dudes clearly worked hard, and i've seen how good their matches are when the production isn't this atrocious. But I can only rate what I see, and the production brings this down heavily. Do better AAA"
SANDRA BlackSky wrote on 16.07.2023:
[7.0] "Not as great as these two are capable of... The match was very one note despite how dynamic both can be... Omega had an answer for everything Vikingo did in the beginning, Vikingo eventually gained momentum and did some of his signature cool moves, with the 630 splash being the final one. The pacing of this match felt slightly dull, and the atmosphere wasn't as electric as in their first match.. I'm sure they're capable of better."

[10.0] "I think that this match deserves the 5 star rating that the other match got. It was fast paced but had good selling better than the dynamite match and also really fun counters and high flying stuff. The only thing that is not that good with this is the production the AAA production and the camera cuts but im not gonna reduce a point for that. But my god Konnan should absolutely stop talking about other promotions and focus on improving his own shows. Hopefully he get a third match sometime in the future , next year or whatever."
GM56 Champion wrote on 16.07.2023:
[8.0] "Not at the level of their Dynamite match, but still a really good bout. Omega was dominating throughout the match and Vikingo retaliated, which resulted him to win the match. Could have been better to be honest, but wrestling at AAA events automatically make the encounter underwhelming to me, because of constant unnecessary camera angles switches, which is always a problem when watching AAA. Nevertheless, it wasn't exactly what I hoped for as Omega is probably slowing down a bit and Vikingo lacked facial expressions after being hit with a move."

[10.0] "I liked this more than the dynamite match because it was an actual match with high stakes. Not having time restrictions and going nearly 20 definitely helped the match and the selling was really good. Of course Vikingo was impressive once again but this time he used his quickness and high flying ability to counter anything omega did rather than having an exhibition of flashy moves. Kenny being the heel and working on top was once again excellent. I really enjoy his work as a face because he is likeable but he really shines as a heel. Another example of that is the WK17 match with ospreay. I would love a rematch between the 2 maybe next year and maybe on AEW since I really think Vikingo is gonna sign a contract with them ."

Vikingo's stuff is incredible as always and I loved how Omega tried to hit the avalanche OWA -maneuver that used during is AAA reign- but unfortunately they didn't reach that level of greatness. I hope in a third chapter, they are on 1-1 and I need to give them a full score. ****1/2"

[9.0] "Another great match between Vikingo and Omega right here which I'd still put a hair below their Dynamite match but which was still phenomenal and fantastic to the surprise of absolutely no one I think, both are having an incredible year and obviously it's not going to stop, big match Kenny Omega strikes again. I liked the dynamic because it was totally different from their first encounter, they had more freedom and Kenny was the heel, he's always good in that role and made fun of the champion. Vikingo's comebacks were crazy, as were that finishing stretch and those nearfalls, loved this match."
