[7.0] "Kenny too-sweets a baby on his entrance, and then comically tells the camera that Yujiro is gonna attack Elgin from behind before the match, which he does, although it doesn't amount to anything. Elgin manhandles Kenny, and Kenny has to resort to using the ring posts and railing to get some control back. He targets Elgins injured shoulder a bit, mostly to get some heat I guess but not enough to effect the way the match plays out. I disagree that Kenny not deadlifting Elgin was a botch, that was pretty clearly planned because Elgin starts kicking, although Kenny did slip on his first You-can't-escape, which Elgin adapted flawlessly into a counter opportunity. A n entertaining match, just not a classic like many of Kenny's other G1 matches."

[9.0] "Kenny's best match of the tournament up to this point and yet another great one in his series with Elgin. There's some great hard-hitting exchanges throughout and both guys pull out very impressive power moves on each other. Elgin has some spotty selling later on, which would be fine normally since his arm didn't get worked on that much, but he did also have a pre-existing injury and bandaged shoulder and that definitely should have factored into how he used the arm. The One-Winged Angel spot and finish were superb though in what was an overall great match. ****1/4"

The match itself was actually damn fun with usual stuff that you would expect from both men. They exchanged a lot of big moves and the execution was really good and energetic. The near falls were really nice and it is very fun to look back on random basis."

[8.0] "Good back and forth, but not much story or psychology. I'm really not a big fan of Elgin as a performer I think; he doesn't convey anything as for emotions, and his selling isn't great (he completely no-sold the shoulder after the first ten minutes of Omega working on it). They do have great chemistry, and they are seasoned enough to know how to adapt; there are a couple botches but it wasn't awkward at all (Omega botching his landing on his "you can't escape" turned into Elgin jumping at the opportunity, Omega not deadlifting Elgin turns into Elgin lifting Omega). They had a fun spot where Omega climbs up 3 times to try to suplex Elgin, which built anticipation. The beginning was interesting too; I liked Omega's heel work there, and his flamboyance draws me in as always. But other than that, it was underwhelming, and rather forgettable."

[7.0] "The first time I watched this match I would have given it a 3 3/4. I thought it was borderline great but I didn't care for a lot of the stuff they did and I slept heavily on the match (or rather didn't pay much attention) because I'm not a big Elgin fan. Dudes super talented but I just can't get into his work with a few exceptions. Anyways earlier I said their US tournament match was my second favorite behind the Ladder match, and while that still stands I'll admit I enjoyed myself much more rewatching this a second time. The starting minutes were great, with the run in to kick things off (and a Brutal looking throat punch to Takahashi) and a dive from Omega. He tried the mat spot immediately after but Elgin wasn't having it. The match eventually made its way back to the ring but retained a quick pace throughout. The only thing I didn't care for is the psychology. Omegas arm work to Elgin amounted to jack all. Either commit or don't do it, and that's why I slightly like their most recent match a bit more. Other then that it was a thrill ride. These two have some solid chemistry with each other as others have said. ****"

[9.0] "Really fun match to finally see what both men could do with no gimmicks. Both men around this time were finally breaking into main event level players and the crowd was noticing as they were actually cheering Elgin as the face and even Kenny got nice pops as a heel. This was an interesting match as, like their ladder match, this match was very American-esque in the style and presentation. It was mostly a move spam match where each would take turns with signatures and no selling, though Kenny tried to switch it up by using psychology and attacking Elgin's arm, but that was quickly forgotten as I think time restraints didn't allow them to go that in depth for a match. All in all this was a fun match that you could probably see akin to something in PWG (funny enough as both were/are PWG regulars), ****1/2."

[9.0] "I liked the fast paced non-stop moves. Although they didn't match the crazy spots of their ladder match, this match was a lot better as far as in-ring action. Still, it is held back by a lot of no-selling and the fact that it never really built up to a point or attempted to tell a story, instead the majority of the match just felt like two dudes doing awesome moves to eachother repeatedly. ****1/2"

[6.0] "Just can't get into Elgin in this tournament, it's constant power moves, plus his psychology & selling in matches hasn't been very good. Love watching Kenny Omega perform though, his mannerisms always tell a great story, he is a work of art in the ring he really is. Elgin just let another match down though in my opinion, he relies constantly on his power moves, with his shoulder or arm being targeted not just in this match but in others, he no sells whenever he hits a power move. If he wants to tell a better story then he should show that his power moves are having an impact on his shoulder, or even better cut down on the power moves. The lack of psychology by him, just downgrades his matches for me, if he can sell and tell a story better then his matches would be brilliant."

[9.0] "I thought this was just fantastic honestly. I was on the edge for the final few minutes of this and the crowd was red hot as well. Such amazing chemistry between these two and it makes for tremendous matches and this was certainly one of them though not as good as their Ladder match from back at Dominion though. This is one that I'd certainly recommend though. (****1/4)"

[8.0] "*** 1/2 Nagoya (Third-city syndrome) has typically gotten the rematches or the second & third-runs and tonight's double main event is no exception. However, this crowd is louder than most recent Nagoya events suggesting these are some keen/marketable match-ups. One really must credit Omega for maintaining a frenetic pace & seemingly going 'all-out' in every match. This very much felt like the blow-off bout of their feud; both connected with each other's finishers except that Elgin was able to maintain momentum after hitting his own 'One-Wingled Angel. ' I don't expect, nor do I want Omega to receive a re-match after this."

[7.0] "This was a good match but what held it back quite a bit for me was the no-selling in order to pull off signature move/counter sequences. I still really appreciated the athleticism involved in the sequences between the two wrestlers, and they did get me hyped up with a few well executed near falls stemming from big sequences, but the constant no-selling just became a bit too much for my liking. Elgin’s left shoulder was tapped up but also wasn’t sold too well and didn’t factor into the match much after Omega worked it over early on, making it feel rather pointless. Elgin is still having a good tournament and delivers some brutal hits to Omega here, while Omega remains crafty and very charismatic without being too goofy. The crowd was hot for this and it was definitely a good match, but the no-selling brought down a lot of tension for me, and overall this didn’t impress me nearly as much as their ladder match. ***1/2"

[9.0] "Awesome match between the two Canadians. Just as exciting as their ladder match without as much to work with. The back-and-forth with them one-upping each other in various ways like back body drops and such was a good story, and the culmination in them stealing one another's finishes for nearfalls was just fantastic. Elgin working his Stronk Gaijin gimmick is as over as ever here as well, and the spin-out Elgin Bomb finish was one of the most high-impact moves on this whole show. Another impressive match from both men here, especially Elgin. ****1/4"

[10.0] "This match was awesome. It wasn't a fast paced spot fest but instead a slowly built fight. These guys have tremendous chemistry and have yet to have a match that isn't great. The crowd could've been better but despite them the wrestlers went all out and gave a great match with some great spots. Tied for MOTN with main event ****1/2"
