[7.0] "One of the first really fun and solid worked singles matches in Roman's career. I also remember watching this the night of and just being completely blown away with how amazing Balor was and how his first night in the main roster was going. Reslly enjoyed how it stayed out with Roman being immediately in the advantage with his power game just chucking Balor back and fourth across the ring. Wish we coulda started with a more back and fourth beginning putting over the fact that they both just wrestled four ways earlier in the night. But still well worked match and a great example of a powerhouse for a smaller technician. (***1/2)"

The closing sequence is so memorable to me with Balor getting the upset win and Reigns endorsing him afterwards. Great stuff. [****1/4]"

[7.0] "Good match between Reigns and Bálor here in the main event of one of the best episodes of Raw in the last decade, this match had huge significance as the winner would face Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship at SummerSlam and it was also Bálor's very first night in the main roster so to see him pin Reigns in a totally clean way was a shocking moment. Now does that make this a really fantastic match ? Not really, as it was just a simple TV bout that could have gone on longer and was unfortunately interspersed with a commercial but in any case it was perfectly solid for what it was. These two have always had a very good connection together and their first meeting was as good as their in-ring talent, not their best one but fun stuff."

[8.0] "Good match. Roman is just great when they left him working as a cocky heel. This match was very physycal than a I remembered, great strikes and some great spots. Balor started to work on Roman's knee, wich he sold pretty well for the moment. The story of Balor having to pass for the old-champ to prove him self on the big time was great, and both have good chemistry together. I Hope they have another match soon, because I can see then having a great match on PPV. ***3/4"

Finn Balor had a debut that truly put him in a main event position and put casuals on notice when he beat Roman Reigns clean and told everyone watching to pay attention to him. The timings of the spots and comebacks kept this at a great pace. Roman`s power spots always looked like he would get the win, but Balor always comeback and gave me a huge pop."

I also liked that it was pretty back and forth and the winner was unpredictable. The ending was great. A nice, clean victory to get Balor over as the top face on RAW."

[8.0] "Great way to debut Finn Balor, this felt like a Heavyweight young ace welcoming a junior to a company with harsh stiff throws and hits. Luckily, it ended up making Balor look like a star and made it look like Balor barely survived the Reigns beatdown in the process. Great way to end Raw, it was a bit muted by following the Sasha/Charlotte match, but it found a way. I remember the internet loathing these two separately about a month ago, ironically."

[8.0] "Finn was his usual robotic self, but it worked against Reigns here, as Roman brought his presence, swagger & charisma, which created a nice dynamic between the two. The work on top by Reigns was real good, and while Finn was his robotic self, as I mentioned, it actually worked here, as he timed his comebacks greatly. A very good match. ***3/4"
