[6.0] "This was just kind of aimless and meandering brawling for the sake of having a title match. I love Dario Cueto as a character and his involvement makes me happy, but Pentagon losing again was kind of weak."
[5.0] "Well, for me it was obvious that Pentagon wasn't going to win where I saw this match was in the middle of the card. Specially after he took out Black Lotus and Dragon Azteca Jr. As other inmates have said, the match felt pretty lame with a mediocre brawl on the outside and with Pentagon Dark dominating all over the floor. Then they got back in the ring, Matanza hit a couple of powermoves and then Vampiro give Pentagon a barbed wire baseball bat, but Pentagon wasn't able to use it thanks to Dario Cueto interfering and allowing Matanza to grab it, hit Pentagon and hit the Tour of the Islands to retain the title. After the match, Vampiro tries to consolate his pupil, but Pentagon pushes him. I think Pentagon should have won here, but maybe on the next season he gets even darker and a better heel and then when he finally captures the title will feel better. I also thought that all the built for this match could have been done better, but if it's as I think will happen then it's normal. The match could have been far better than a mediocre brawl."
[4.0] "It is a disappointing match, but adequate. The Matanza's no sell is irritating when Pentagon takes the chair. It is a good idea rebuilding Pentagon to make him stronger against Matanza. The match is a common brawl with some confuse hardcore stuff. The final is functional with the narrative **3/4."
[6.0] "Very underwhelming match. They had been building to this match for a whole season, and all we got was a one sided brawl with a distraction for the finish. Pentagon has been the most over guy in the promotion for two seasons, yet his booking has been strange from the beginning, ***1/2."

Sicherlich ist eine Art Brawl am Anfang nicht verkehrt, Chair Shots und harte Aktionen bestärken die natürlich vorhandene Animosität, leider dauert das zu lange. Wenn man im Ring ankommt gibt's ein Paar nette Piledriver Sequenzen und Near-Falls, aber insgesamt eine komplett falsche Charakterdarstellung beider Kontrahenten. Für mich schmälert der idiotische Eingriff beim Finish das Match dann doch recht signifikant (**¾)."
[6.0] "Von dem Match war ich persönlich etwas enttäuscht. Es geht dafür, dass es eigentlich DER Kampf dieser Ultima Lucha sein sollte sehr verhalten zu und man bekommt nur stellensweise das Potenzial zu sehen, welches diese Begegnung eigentlich hatte. Dazu kommt dann auch noch dieses katastrophale Finish, das für mich den Hype um Pentagon Dark komplett gekillt hat, auch wenn am Ende von Ultima Lucha wieder ein bisschen was gut gemacht wurde. Alles in allem ordentlich, aber man hat den Moment verpasst Pentagon auf die nächste Stufe zu befördern und sah anstatt einem großen Augenblick in LU nur ein weiteres Kapitel. *** 1/4"
[6.0] "Poor Pentagon Jr - he's ridiculously over but almost always loses the big one. His mic work after the beating of Lotus & Dragon Azteca was lacking a tad in the confident bravado department, but I dig the new complete black get-up. If the plan was not to switch the title, a move I'm a fan of as a belt that changes hands too much would further dilute significance on this show that's already too gimmick-crazy, then the layout was absolutely satisfactory for a match that did not headline this event. Pentagon shined throughout the majority, and got some revenge from the beating earlier this season, but the emotional complications stemming from a mentor and the distractions of a diabolical owner were the face's undoing. I've watched the first episode of the third season and the bookers have taken care of the Pentagon character in that the onyx-clothed Pentagon is undergoing a semi-heel turn... so all is on the up-and-up. 6. 25"

Das Match war, erwartungsgemäß, überhaupt nichts, aber man hatte immer im Hinterkopf "Hey, wenigstens ist dann endlich Matanza nicht mehr Champion", aber das Ende... Ich sage einfach nur, es ist der größte Fehler den Lucha Underground jemals begangen hat. All der Hype, der um Pentagon so meisterhaft inszeniert wurde ist kaputt, Pentagon Dark ist kaputt, Matanza bleibt Champion und wir werden auch in der dritten Season nur, Entschuldigung für die Wortwahl, totale SCHEIßE im Main Event sehen."
[4.0] "This match was going on pretty welll with Pentagon Dark's debut making him look like killer, but did make Mantanza look like a chump. The fuck finish also made the match feel worthless, made Ultima Lucha Dos seem like it needed a cheap out and has now made Mantanza look like a weakling who's title reign should end soon."

[6.0] "The hype about Matanza was strong for months, the victory on Mil Muertes was important and I believe this was the right match to drop the belt to Pentagon (the Jr. version, not the Dark one). It can't be compared to Pentagon vs Vampiro, or Matanza vs Muertes, it's disappointing in the end and enjoyable for most of the minutes. ***"

[8.0] "A pretty good match, though I was hoping for a classic to be honest. Maybe my expectations were too high. Pentagon's opening shine went on for a long time and really showed how stronger he had become with Vampior's help. Once the match got a little more even there were some very good exchanges. I was not crazy about the finish though, and I think it's pretty clear that response was shared by the fans. Maybe they booked themselves into a corner but a better solution should have been found."

[8.0] "The finish of the match was pretty frustrating, but oh man, this was such an awesome fight between Matanza & Pentagon DARK. They did some epic brawling in the beginning, then they traded some slugs & bombs - and it was all just awesome. A very good match that could've been GREAT had there been a better & more satisfying finish. ***3/4"
[6.0] "Ziemlich ernüchternd das ganze: Pentagon Dark hat zwar einen coolen Auftritt, aber die Wandlung von Matanza vom Monster zum opportunistischen Heel ging mir zu schnell von jetzt auf gleich. Es gab auch leider keinen richtig Matchfluß. Das ganze war also mehr ein Segment als ein Match, ein sehr gutes Segment zwar, aber mit Schwächen."
[3.0] "What a horrible match. The entire match Pentagon Dark was the dominant. Matanza, the man who has a God / Demon inside him, looked like a clown. The worst part, the entire season building Pentagon victory and suddenly, he didn't win. Third interfearence of the night."
[6.0] "Was war das denn bitte? Ich erwartete mir ein ausgeglichenen Kampf zwischen dem Monster Matanza und dem neu "gefundenen" Pentagon Dark der jetzt (theoretisch) besser als der alte Pentagon ist. Was kam heraus? Pentagon kloppt Matanza quer durch die gegend bis dieser nach etlichen Jahren etwas gegenwehr zeigt und dann gewinnt weil Cueto eine rolle im Finish spielt. Wo ist da bitte die Logik? Ich kann es ja verstehen das Pentagon jetzt stärker ist, aber warum sollte dadurch Matanza seine Ganz Macht verlieren? ! ? ! Null gegenwehr von ihm pber 3/4 des Matches. War absolut kein Fan von diesem Match.... *** 1/4"
[8.0] "Pentagon Dark returning/debuting and dominating Matanza, in the grand scope of this Season, is huge. The brawling was strong, and showed that Jeff Cobb, even as the Matanza character, can still sell very well. Matanza's turn on offense was as awe-inspiring as it always is in terms of his power. Vampiro's utterly changed mode of speech on commentary totally fit what was happening, as well. The finish made a lot of sense in terms of story, but Matanza leaving with the title really made the crowd fall flat. Made sense for it not to main event, knowing that, though. Still, it was a really, really good brawl with a hot crowd until the bell. ***3/4"
[7.0] "It started as a very good brawl but when the match was gaining time I kinda found it a little monotone. Pentagon dominated most of the match leaving matanza minimum possibilities to react. It seemed not credible at all, despite all the evolution of Pentangon's dark persona 'cause he dominated like no one did before, and after the breath of opportunity Matanza had, that persona vanished leaving a Pentagon even weaker than he was before... or at least that was the impression I had... and the finish... well you had to go to the very end of the show to understand the reason of why the match ended like that. ***1/2"
[9.0] "This was awesome! The whole Pentagon Dark persona is amazing. After a season of Matanza destroying everybody it was so great to watch him get mauled by Pentagon. Matanza in his few spots of offense showed his incredible athleticism and impressed. Pentagon, though, was the best part of the match. While I'd have loved him winning, he still came out really strong andatanza came out very vulnerable ****. Great stuff"
