Chris Hero vs. Timothy Thatcher

But Timothy Thatcher is the personification of boring and uninspiring, and whilst he is technically proficient, Thatcher is completely unable to generate even a smattering of excitement. This led to a match that was dull and pedestrian, and felt like it went on forever."

[8.0] "Arguably the weakest match in the Hero vs Thatcher series, but still a damn great match nonetheless. First off the match is actually really slow compared to their first few matches, but it is still really physical all the same. I think this match was the first instance I saw of Thatcher pretty much becoming "overpowered" as he made a really quick comeback after Hero had already decimated him. Great end to this rivalry anyways, ****1/4."

[8.0] "Chris Hero was a savage challenger, putting a lot of snap on his offense, but Timothy Thatcher keeps looking like a sad sack lameduck champion, which really hurts his reputation and prestige. The ending was actually well executed for a change, but they would have to be more intense and competitive to make this great instead of merely great."

[9.0] "These two had some really good matches last year in PWG & EVOLVE so I was expecting a lot coming in and I have to say I wasn't disappointed one bit. Great grappling to start but the leg work by Thatcher was really good and his facial expressions are just amazing and Hero was great as well and just wanted to knock out Thatcher but that certainly wasn't going to happen on Thatcher's watch. I'd recommend this easily tbh. (****1/4)"

[9.0] "This rivalry continues strong with this match! As expected, this was very physical and all the strikes had psychology to it. It set up the great submission game of Thatcher. This is easily Thatcher's best match this year."

[9.0] "I thought that their WWN & PWG matches in 2015 were both good/really good, but this was the first Hero vs. Thatcher match that I really LOVED. Thought it was great. Great grappling, great striking, great character work, great selling & facial expressions. ****1/4"
