I enjoyed this match more than most Austin matches of this period. His pulling punches was really funny. Flair could still go and was a fanatic heel still. Iit made for a very good TV main event."

It's a solid despite neither guy being at their peak. Makes you wonder how good this match could've been just 5 or 6 years earlier. 3.25/5"

Whenever the Texas Rattlesnake had an advantage over Ric Flair, he missed it because he couldn't punch his opponent. However, the Nature boy, being the dirtiest player in the game, managed to sneakily hit Steve. A well built match, obviously this fight deserves praise and a recommendation to watch."

That said this is a good match with creative ways to stack the deck on Austin while also giving us a dream match between Austin and Flair in what would sadly prove to be one of the last matches of Austin's career. They kept the match at a fast pace while Austin not being allowed to brawl comes into play several times, while Flair plays the natural villain as he did in his prime. The stipulation was obviously never followed up on. Probably not a good enough match to change my opinion on the rest of the episode, but a good main event."
