[6.0] "I'm not too familiar with the mma guys but they ruled. When they were in the ring and the crowd popped the match really got going. Every strike from then on felt like something and Tanahashi showed a lot of Fighting Spirit that would go on to define him later. And the finish was pretty badass"

[6.0] "Not much going before the ending, but that finishing sequence was quite exciting with Tana showing spirit before getting knocked out."

[5.0] "An interesting little match, but doesn't build enough to really be one I'd recommend anyone watch outside of the curiosity of Tanahashi's first January 4 Tokyo Dome match. This is a big old ~INOKISM~ match that ends with an MMA guy just murdering Tana to death with a kick to the head. The pseudo-MMA guys spent too much of the match just being emotionless, which didn't give this a lift at all."
