[8.0] "Durch die NJPW Strong Folgen kann man sich Resurgence 2023 ansehen nur sind die Matches komplett anders ausgestrahlt. In der neuste Folge ist das hier der Opener. Ich gebe (***1/2)."
[7.0] "Really fun opener. Nothing about the work took your breath away but the CMLL pair really brought it and managed to keep the pace up. First time seeing Virus and I wasn't too optimistic but the guy really went for it and still has some gas in the tank despite his age. I'm all for a flash pin or submission but it was slightly awkwardly done in that I'm not sure the ref realised it was the finish which made the crowd a bit hesitant to react. ***1/2"
[7.0] "Really terrific opening tag match that highighted the best of everybody involved and got the fans pumped up. The first time pairing for the TMDK team was cool to see as Bad Dude Titio is sort of the forgotten member of the faction aside from the United States shows. Also seeing the CMLL team getting a good response from the crowd is awesome to see. The pace was perfectly balanced with quick submissions from ZSJ and Virus being followed by their hoss partners Tito and Cavernario. The finish was out of nowhere in the best way possible and Virus challenging ZSJ for the television title is a good moment even if doesn't get followed up"
[9.0] "Maybe I'm too much of a Virus fanboy but I adored this. ZSJ & Virus having nice, lengthy sequences while Cavernario & Tito provided some changes to the pace without taking away from the technical wrestlers was a delight"
[7.0] "This was such a mix of styles which turned out to be pretty entertaining. Virus vs. ZSJ is dream match material for lucha libre fans and it was nice to have a glince of it."
[8.0] "Very enjoying opening tag match between these four very fun workers who worked rather well together, Virus & Cavernario's style having blended well with Zack's technical one and Tito's powerful one, everyone played their part well and it was booked as it should be in my humble opinion. Very surprised by the result, but I'm positively surprised and I like to be surprised, so I thought it was ballsy to make Virus & Cavernario win, but they deserved it more than anything else. More Cavernario content on NJPW shows please, thank you."
[10.0] "This opener with El Barbaro Cavernario/Virus vs TMDK (aka Bad Dude Tito/Zack Sabre Jr.) turned out to be an outstanding tag match that overdelivered."
[8.0] "First time watching the CMLL stars and very impressive stuff. Great blend of Lucha & technical wrestling with a lot of good spots. Virus and ZSJ seemed to have great chemistry & Cavernario and BDT also seemed good together in a goofy match. Overall a solid match but seemed like the ending was screwed by the referee based on ZSJ's reaction."
[8.0] "This match didn't have to bang as hard as it did. Virus & ZSJ worked incredibly together with extended creative mat work sequences that flowed beautifully and Barbaro was impressive. Tito felt like a bit of a dud no-selling Barbaro's offense but the finish paid this off with a really cool quick tap. Surprising victory for people like me who didn't know about TMDK's opponents but a well earned one."
[8.0] "Great showing of the CMLL talent, hope people turn to see Cavernario again, cuz if he is healthy, he is one of the best wrestlers in the world. The technical battle between Virus and Sabre was awesome, hopefully we get some more soon."
[7.0] "I had no idea how good El Barbario Cavernario was until today. I was pleasantly surprised and Id love to see Zack defend the NJPW World TV Championship against him at some point. A good opener."
[7.0] "Good opener with Zack Sabre Jr.'s style meshing well with the CMLL team, particularly Virus, while the big lads Tito and Cavernario got into it. Surprise win for the CMLL guys, likely setting up Virus challenging for ZSJ's World TV Championship."
