[9.0] "Vast majority of this match was about battle for the pace and wearing each other down, so as a result both Takaiwa and Otani had lengthy control segments where they systematically worked on top. Beauty of this match is not only in quality of both wrestlers' work, but how simple were ways for either wrestler to regain control, and how much high-risk moves felt more and more high-risk throughout the match, it seamlessly created 'you don't know what's gonna happen next' feel that defined a red-hot finishing stretch. And while lasted only a few minutes, it was a hell of a ride. Great match from a different era."

[10.0] "I get the feeling that either a lot of people who have New Japan World don't scour the old archives as much, or maybe this was literally uploaded to coincide with BOSJ 30, I'm not so sure. The IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions made it all the way to the Best of the Super Junior Finals standing across from each other with their belts on (which is such a cool visual). I loved the work throughout this match, and probably the most "strong style" BOSJ finals I've seen. From the hot start, to the really damn good technique with the submissions where Otani was working all over Takaiwa's leg. and usually when someone lays in a hold they just stay in there, but Otani was twerking the ankle and Takaiwa was trying to fight out of it every time. The chops and the stiff lariats by Takaiwa all looked brutal. Otani with the springboard moves were used sparingly but effectively, that springboard.. cannonball koppu kick(? ) was insane looking. I was very shocked by the finish because I didn't know who won going in, awesome match, these guys are so damn awesome."
