Io Shirai & Mayu Iwatani vs. Kairi Hojo & Meiko Satomura

I don't know if i can name a better tag team match than this one; the combination of Thunder Rock with Satomura and Hojo made perfect bout with absolutely stellar action throughout. The structure reminded me of old AJW classics, nonstop action with no slowing down combined with stiffness on maximum level. I also watched this to see how Io and Mayu worked together and i'm astonished by their tag team offense and how smooth they were moving together, i'm not surprised they are called the very best tag team of all time. *****"

[9.0] "This would have been a 10 for me but I had to take a point off for the unfortunate botch where they spend a bunch of time going up into the crowd to set up a spot where they try to coordinate dives off the entry tunnels only for the dive Meiko does on Iyo to look like it has 0 impact at all"

[10.0] "The problem for Meiko and KAIRI here is they clearly aren't working as a team, while Thunder Rock is one of the greatest tag teams to ever exist. They wanted to beat Io, that was clear, but they couldn't quite get on the same page throughout the match and that was their downfall. *****"

[9.0] "Without any doubt, this is an excellent, almost perfectly built and performed match from these four of the absolute best. The strongest team in Stardom history against two of the most dangerous strikers - it is a powerful sign. The only problem for me is that I didn't really understand how Meiko and Kairi expected to win here. Their team work was almost non-existent as they worked separately. I expected some kind of "secret weapon" from them, but in the end, Thunder Rock just logically won."

[7.0] "It was actually quite sloppy at times and they definitely went overboard with the near falls. Certainly a good match but I think people have gone too far with their praise of it."

[8.0] "really good match, stardom tag team champs vs stardom champ and a legend, the amount of talent in one ring, yes there was some botches but really thought it was hard hitting, and simply a great tag team match"

[9.0] "This started off explosively with high intensity from all 4 wrestlers. Then after the crowd brawl, it was slowed down a bit and lost its high energy of the first part. However, the final portion was really good and boosted the energy back with really good near falls and dramas. No real surprise for how good the match was when you look at the talents in this one."

[8.0] "A great match, this was a throwback to the days of AJW, with frenetic action from beginning to end, and Shirai managing to outshine the superior Satomura."

[9.0] "An awesome joshi tag match featuring some of the best in the world at the time. This was a fast paced war the whole way through. I really liked the psychology of Thunder Rock isolating Kairi early on, but that was pretty much abandoned mid way through. Though it kind of turned into an overkill moves fest by the end, there was still a semblence of a story with Meiko and Kairi miscommunicating which inevitably led to their loss, ****1/2."

[9.0] "This was my first time seeing Mayu Iwatani and Kairi Hojo. There the awkward dive Kairi Hojo. But it was really good as well."

[7.0] "I gave this match *** 1/4. Decent stuff, but I also noticed quite a few fuck ups and I didn't particularly get into this match that much."

[8.0] "Some very stiff strikes, and the counter wrestling was very good. Maybe lost a little bit watching the STARDOM World version with the single cam, but it's certainly a recommended match and one of the best Joshi matches of the year so far."
