[7.0] "This was actually a fun match. Jay Lethal was only 20 years old, but he already had ability in the ring to put on really good matches. This was a situation where you the young rookie went up against the overconfident veteran, and not for nothing, Jeff Jarrett gave Jay Lethal a lot during this match. Several times, Lethal countered several of Jarrett's moves, including the Stroke. Scott Steiner came out and interfered on Jarrett's behalf, only for Lethal to take a dive out onto Steiner, which got a pop out of the crowd. Steiner got payback by hitting Lethal in the back with a pipe, allowing Jarrett to hit a Stroke from the middle rope for the win. This was a fun showcase of Lethal and a great way to get him over. ***1/4"
[7.0] "A notable match considering this is the second time these two interacted in a match (after one much shorter squash in January) and now they are a team today. Jarrett gave Lethal a fair amount and in spite of some interference from Steiner, it felt like Lethal got elevated by this match while Jarrett still got the win."
