El Generico & Salvatore Rinauro vs. Fast Eddie & Jimmy Rave

[6.0] "Decent, but Sal is completely new to ROH and going toe-to-toe with Jimmy Rave / The Embassy, which main evented (and lost) at the last show. Rather than wonderful destruction, the squash is extended across 11 minutes and gives the jobbers hope spots. It was a good tryout, but not really necessary."

[7.0] "As previously noted, ROH's opening matches have really improved lately, and while this didn't have the bigger names (outside of Rave) that most of the others have had recently, it was definitely just as good in terms of quality. The Embassy are great heels, while Generico and Rinauro both did very well as underdog newcomers. Generico has impressed in all of his early ROH appearances to the point where I'm not sure why it took so long for them to start using him as a regular. The Embassy use a lot of traditional heel work during the heat on Rinauro, and it builds nicely to a pretty good comeback from the babyface team. It's a well structured match with convincing heels and babyfaces, along with some pretty good action along the way. Pretty much all you need from an opener."

[7.0] "An entertaining way to kick off the show. The Embassy were a great act around this time. Sal was working hard in his ROH debut and Generico always stood out when he would make his earlier appearances in Ring of Honor. Its wild it would take him another year and a half+ before getting on the roster full time."
