[7.0] "That was a good match. Nice tension building between Marufuji and Lee, and good showcase for other 5 guys."

[7.0] "This was another solid match. There was some fairly decent in ring action with Wolf and Bane hitting a couple of cool looking moves."

[6.0] "Jake Lee acts like a cheesy anime villain from the 90's and I'm all for that if that's supposed to be his sthick, it's real goofy but it clearly works for him given he was getting some of the better reactions of the event. Him and Maru work some predictively minimalistic interactions as they work mind games and mostly try for amateur wrestling stuff in that vintage Muto-style stalling. It wasn't that bad though and there's a good building of tension as Lee even pulls out a Sakuraba cartwheel to foil Maru's pulling of guard, being able to then overpower him when he tries to turn the pace up. Not a big fan of Lee having to tag with the rejects from Kongo and Stinger as I felt like Bane and Wolf just shat all over them in terms of working a fast-paced lucha style, so there really wasn't any threat from his troop at all in terms of them being a dangerous unit. I will say that Bane and Wolf were easily the highlights of the match, landing some insanely quick and flush spots that really got the crowd going. It's not hard to see why these two are already so well regarded despite being so young, and if they were in bigger promotions they'd be way better than seeing lads like Komander botch his way though stuff, especially seeing they, you know, actually worked a pace that didn't rely on mind-numbingly contrived bits. Of course Maru relied on his chops and some silly leg-slap combos for his bits; easily the least interesting bits of the match for me, I just can't be bothered with how the guy wrestles. YO-HEY gets in a nice little hot tag and that leads to a....less than great finish as Wolf has to stand around for a while to get hit and we get a generic brawl outside until it's someone's cue to jump in and do spots. Said spots were amazing mind you, but still. Finish comes with Bane landing a shooting star press for the win. As a match, it's got some clear issues (lack of tension, some wonky selling/pacing, etc) but as a mostly lucha spotfest, it really worked there. It's amazing how Maru is so washed that even some random young lucha wrestlers can completely outshine him in a match built around the guy going for the biggest title in the company, unreal. GLG are fine as a trio, Lee is a solid worker but his underlings are less than impressive, even if needed for pin-eaters. It's a bit weird for a main event but hey, I really enjoyed it for what it was supposed to be, Wolf/Bane are the future of lucha if they keep these performances up."
