[10.0] "This was tremendous. Kamaitachi's performance was top notch, loved his work over the knee of Maximo Sexy & his work on top in general was just fantastic. The atmosphere was pretty great too, really felt like a big time match up. One slight complaint is that I felt like Maximo's selling got a bit spotty towards the end, but he still sold it enough (as in he didn't completely no sell it) as he showed he was still clearly in pain by the damage Kamaitachi had done. A classic that has gone under the radar imo. ****1/2"

[8.0] "Another great match from CMLL. You have a great performer as Kamaitachi and a definitively charismatic and deserving champion as Maximo, both selling the focus on Sexy's knee in a very credible way, which helped to build a lot the story to tell into the ring. You also have the focus on Japanese fans that added that emotional angle to the match and the controversy factor attempt of both trying to get a cheating win, which ended in a fair and square victory for the mexican. An entertaining and meaningful match that totally deserves a ****1/4 for me but being a 9. 0 too much, I'll rate with an 8. 0"

[7.0] "I gave this match *** 1/2 stars out of 5. It was an entertaining match, but I felt like it dragged on a little too long. It was also good to see the focus on the Asian fans in Mexico crying during the end of the match, really nice touch by CMLL."

[10.0] "Great match, they built it around Maximo's beaten up knee and did a fantastic job keeping it consistent, even when Maximo would dig deep and use it for something he would always act like it was tearing apart inside as he did it, which is what you need to do in order to keep a good limb injury angle going I think. I think both guys have their flaws but this match did everything right to accentuate their best traits, and in the third fall where Maximo is pulling so much desperation offense out of nowhere the tension is just incredible. I also loved the way Kamaitachi pulls a last minute effort to get Maximo DQ'd, faking a low blow with some really funny selling that the referee doesn't buy at all. It totally backfires on him too, which is just perfect for the match. Built up tremendously as it went and ended up being just fantastic, would recommend to anyone."
